Kaden carried me from the hospital to the car, and from the car to another house that I've never seen before. I assumed he'd be taking me back to the room I've been staying in which resides in the pack house, but Kaden explained to me on the car ride back that new initiates stay in those rooms, and once they've integrated into the pack by either finding a job or moving in with their mate, they get to live amongst the rest of the pack.

Without him realising, that small simple statement he didn't think anything of, made me feel more accepted in a place then I've ever felt in my entire life, simply because he's implied he's accepted me.

And that's all I really want to hear.

I twiddlled my thumbs for the majority of the trip back to the house, purely to debate whether or not I should tell him about the vision I had of the Moon Goddess, warning me about what is to come.

I know I should tell him, no need to tell him, because this is going to affect him as much as it's going to affect me. I only hope that he doesn't turn into an overprotective mate and never let me leave the house or lock me in a dungeon or something like that.

Maybe less dramatic.

The house is a few miles away from the pack house, west along the hill top. It's nestled at the end of a street between thick forests, and it's dark wood helps it blend in with it's surroundings.

You can tell that it is a very expensive house. It's three stories, made entirely of wooden logs, and it looks like it belongs in the snow. It has large, open windows, and a double door that matches the dark colour of the rest of the house. The door looks almost identical to that of the one leading into the kitchen, with detailed carvings of wolves and plants and the moon. But two large wolf heads are about head height up the doorframe, dominating the top halves of the door as they look at each other.

Both of them wear crowns.

"This house is beautiful." I breathe as Kaden carries me over the threshold. "It's nothing like I've ever seen before."

"My mum and built it about ten years ago." Kaden says gruffly into my ear, his arms tight but gentle around my body. "They saw a chalet like this in the Alps and fell in love with it."

"So have I." I say without thinking, and the warm spark that jolts through my body at the sound of Kaden's laugh in my ear has me melting into him.

"They flew the builders of the original chalet over here to build it. I'm glad that you like it as much as they do." Kaden says almost to himself as he strides into the foyer. "I want you to think of this place as home."

I won't deny that I blush, and I bury my head into his chest to hide the redness of my face.

The interior of this house is just as breathtaking as the exterior. Both the floors and the walls match the dark wood of the outside, the floor made of dark mahogany that is the same colour as the skirting boards along the walls. The wallpaper is a deep green which matches the dark green leather sofas and curtains. The fire in the living room is raging, spreading a nice warmth through the house.

Kaden strides up the large staircase two or three steps at a time, my small frame still in his hands, and he lightly kicks open one of the doors at the top of them.

He walks into a bedroom that is just as beautiful as the rest of the house, the colour scheme blues instead of green.

The bed frame is made of dark wood much like the rest of the house, but the sheets are a baby blue, swirling patterns in white scattered across the blue. The curtains are a deep blue much darker than the bed, and they match the carpet sat underneath the window seat.

All of the books and blankets that were in my old room sit neatly on the turquoise window covers, my bent copy of Game of Thrones in the centre. The not that Kaden left me is sitting, tucked tightly between the pages so I remember where I've read up to, and so I can read his words over and over every time I finish reading.

"This is your room." Kaden says as he lays me in my bed, the silk sheets sliding easily over my bare legs. "I'm in a room just down the hallway if you need me."

I almost pout, but I stop myself before Kaden sees. Must be the mate bond that is making me act like a child, and we barely know each other so I hardly expected him to share a bed with me.

"You must be pretty tired after today." Kaden says softly as he pulls my thick quilt up over my body. "Get some rest okay, and we'll do something tomorrow morning."

"Wait." I almost shout just as Kaden heads towards the door. "I need to talk to you about something."

Kaden sends me one of his secret, soft smiles and kisses my forehead softly. "It can wait, you need to rest."

I open my mouth to protest, but a stern look from my mate leaves little room for argument, so I just snuggle into my pillows, watch as he turns out the light, and I let sleep take me.

I slept deeply, with no wake ups, no nightmares, and definitely no confusing dreams or visions.

I'm pretty sure that I slept better than a newborn baby in that bed, it was almost like the soft, memory foam mattress and the fluffy feather pillows swallowed me whole.

I squint through the darkness, my eyes watching the light dancing through the cracks in the curtains, their beams resting on the figure of Kaden sleeping soundly in the arm chair next to my bed.

He looks so peaceful, with his dark eyelashes resting peacefully against his cheekbones, his full lips releasing short puffs of breath as he breathes out.

I find myself unable to tear my eyes away, just watching him sleep is so relaxing.

Even though it's probably really creepy, I watch him until he stirs, stretching his arms high above his head, his joints and bones popping satisfyingly. His blue eyes look almost white in the morning light, and his smile is nothing short of breathtaking.

"Good morning, Lola." He says, his voice still thick with sleep as he pushes himself from his chair. "Did you sleep well?"

"Did you?" I answer with another question, my eyebrow raised in slight humour. "That sofa chair doesn't exactly look comfortable."

He grins, his incisors catching on his bottom lip in an almost seductive manner. He walks to short distance from his chair to my bedside, and he lowers himself to the floor, taking my small hand in his and rubbing his thumb gently over my knuckles. "I needed to watch over you, make sure you were alright."

I roll my eyes at him but feel my cheeks heat up nonetheless. My face is completely weak towards him, and whenever he does or says something cute like now, it just changes to the same colour as a tomato. It's quite embarrassing.

"I'm not made of glass, Kaden." I sigh, watching as his face drops slightly. "But thank you."

"You're my mate, Lola. I'll always be worried about you." The words obviously fall from his mouth before his brain registers what he's said, as his eyes widen the second he finishes his sentence. His eyes dart to the ground, and he swallows quickly before looking back up at me. "What do you fancy for breakfast?"

After promising to meet him downstairs in exactly fifteen minutes, Kaden finally allows me out of his sight so I can shower and change. I scrub away the smell of hospital and sweat from my body, swapping it with the scent of raspberries and vanilla. I also wash my hair, the conditioner removing the tangles of the last few days, and when I step out of the shower I throw it into a messy bun to dry naturally wavy.

The clothes in my drawers are 'mysteriously' all in my size, so I pull on a pair of sweatpants that are little bit snug around my bum, (whether or not that is an accident.) and a hoodie that was laid on my bed whilst I was in the shower.

I recall a conversation I had with Kaden roughly two weeks ago about wearing Lyle's hoodie and how he promised to give me one of his own, and I can't help but smile so wide I'm afraid my face might split.

"You never stop surprising me." I mumble as I pull the soft fabric over my head, inhaling his musky scent that clings to the cotton of his hoodie. His scent clings to everything he owns, and I almost find myself unable to unattach my nose from the collar.

I open my bedroom door to find the strong scent of bacon wafting down the corridor. At least, I think it's coming from down the corridor, my super senses are a bit retarded in close spaces. I vaguely remember the direction he brought me last night, and I follow the hallways until I reach the large staircase. What I didn't notice last night were the large, arched windows eye level with the top of the stairs. They give you a perfect, mesmerizing view of the woods and the mountains outside, and if the smell of fried eggs hadn't been added to that of crisping bacon, I couldv'e stayed at the top of the stairs for a lot longer.

I eventually find the kitchen where the smell is coming from. It's a lot more modern than I expected it, with top of the range appliances and fancy marble counters. There's a long counter top seperating the kitchen from a set of glass doors leading into a conservatory, with high bar stools pushed underneath.

Kaden is slaving over the stove, his near bare back rippling with the effort of cracking eggs and flipping bacon. It must be my day for observation, because I lean on the doorframe and once again find myself watching the calming movements of my incredibly handsome mate. His head is always looking down at the stove, his concentration solely on the breakfast, and it's only when I cough when he tries to steal some bacon from the frying pan, does he come out of his zone.

"I heard you come in a good five miuntes ago." He says, his back still to me as he plates up breakfast. "Is it a thing of yours to stare creepily at people."

"It's observing, not staring creepily." I mutter defensively as he turns to look at me with a mischievous glint in his eye. "I was just admiring your ability to concentrate. I would've been doing about ten other things on my phone at the same time as making breakfast."

I don't know if it's a trick of the light, but I swear the tips of Kaden's ears turn pink as he places the food down on the island counter along with a carton of fresh orange juice and two glasses, but it's gone just as fast as it appears, as he clears his throat. "Do you want to eat? Or shall I eat your plate as well as mine?"

I snatch the fork out of his hand teasingly and sit down on a stool in line with the plate. Kaden takes the seat beside me, fills the two glasses with juice and digs in, shovelling food down his throat so fast I can tell it's barely touching the sides.

The bacon is the perfet balance between salty and crispy, the eggs light and fluffy, and I instantly understand why Kaden is eating his so fast. It's delicious and I want more of it faster.

"So," Kaden says from beside me, and I turn my head so my gaze meets with his. "What did you want to tell me last night?"

I swallow harshly, the bacon feeling like it's lodged in my throat. "It can wait..."

"Lola." Kaden says lowly, his voice steady. "It was important to you last night, I don't want you to feel like you can't tell me things."

I take a sip of the orange juice, and turn to look at him, his face serious. "When I was unconsious, I had a vision that I met the Moon Goddess."

Kaden's jaw drops, but he quickly picks it back up as he grasps my hands encouragingly. "Lola, tell me everything."

So I do. I tell him everything.

HEY GUYS!

I'm sorry that this chapter has been so late, but I've had a lot on this past weeks.

I've just got back from Leeds Fest which was AMAZING, and the constant dancing and listening to music left little time to write this chapter.

I've also been pretty ill as of recently, I've had an ear infection as well as heatstroke so looking at a screen hasn't been too high on my list of priorities.

But I'm feeling a little bit better now so I'm writing as much as I can before my head hurts too much.

Anyways, what did you guys think of this chapter???

(I know this chapter is utter shite, but you haven't gotten anything out of me in so long so I figured I'd give you a filler chapter before the ascension ceremony.)
