READ THE LAST CHAPTER BEFORE THIS ONE BECAUSE I'VE MAJORLY CHANGED IT!!!

Modesty is a funny thing. Human beings are not the greatest fans of exposing ourselves to the prying eyes of strangers, covering the most intimate parts of ourselves with either hands or clothes, whether that be a physical wound, or an area of embarrassment.

Not many people are confident enough to stroll around in the open, butt naked and all out for the rest of the world to see, and because it is so frowned upon it is in some states illegal, but very frowned upon.

Only the most open of us all, the ones who are fine with being judged for everything skin deep, must go to naked beaches or places where it is considered normal amongst society.

Humans are the complete opposite to us werewolves. Modesty in that sense doesn't really translate with us, mostly because it's such a common thing. Finding a naked man or woman in the woods isn't something to be considered weird or strange with us, because all werewolves have to shift, and all werewolves shift to humans in a naked form.

Obviously there are some that are embarrassed, there always is, but in packs, especially my father's (now Sophia's) you were perceived to be a stronger, more confident fighter if you're not embarrassed of what you look like.

When it comes to myself, I don't fall into the category of confident just yet.

I ran my newly improved wolf into the woods surrounding the house and shifted back into my own body. The chilly, afternoon breeze tickles my bare skin, causing me to shiver, wrapping my arms around my naked body and poking my head around the side of a tree.

Around this time of year, the temperatures don't reach higher than 50°, meaning that the pack don't tend to leave their houses in anything less than two layers. The wind can nip at your skin quite nastily, and if the wind wasn't so strong around here, it wouldn't be that much of a problem.

But it's like that person in high school that needs everyone to know it's there constantly. Whether it's by whining constantly, throwing things at you or near you, or just constantly being a pain in the ass.

With me when it comes to modesty, I'm very human, because of the way my father trained me. I've never shifted back into my human form in the presence of anyone else, therefore I'm incredibly conscious of the thought of someone seeing me.

Even Kaden.

"Could somebody get me some clothes please?" I call out from behind my hiding place. My voice sounds different to my own ears. It sounds stronger, more clear. A more confident version of myself definitely down to the moon goddess.

I hear the sound of multiple pairs of footsteps running in multiple directions, all of them going to get me clothes as far as I'm aware. I look down at my skin, making sure that I've shifted back normally and there's no leftover hair from my wolf on my body.

There was once a pack member a couple of years ago who couldn't completely control his shifts and used to half turn, sometimes only the fur shifting onto his skin in patches, and very occasionally his hind legs would forget to turn back to normal so he would be in a centaur looking position.

The strong, early November wind blows from the direction of the house, carrying the scent of my mate in my direction. I hear his feet stop before the tree, and the whipping noise is the sound of a bag being thrown towards me, the neon blue coloured sports bag landing inches to the right of where I'm sitting.

I reach out and clasp the thin, rope like straps attached to the bag and drag it towards my body, opening it up and greedily staring upon the material that will stop me shivering uncontrollably.

"Are you decent?" His voice is deep and sounds strained as it leaves his lips. I can imagine him standing there, trying hard to control his thoughts so he doesn't embarrass himself in front of my parents. I can see the pained expression on his face as he tries to think of anything to make him stop thinking about me.

I smirk despite knowing he can't see me, and I pull the tracksuit bottoms and hoodie over my shivering body, savouring the feel of the warm, soft fabric on my cold skin. Eventually I stop shivering, the only indication I was cold is my breathing the fact it's steaming up and mingling with the frigid air around me.

I know that this is Kaden's jumper, purely from scent. His strong musk clings to the cotton, and I happily allow it to invade my nostrils with every inhale. It's also three sizes too big, which is also a dead giveaway. My arms only fill two thirds of the

I pad barefoot out from behind my hiding spot and see Kaden facing towards the house, his strong back facing me. I place my hand softly against his warm skin, and I feel his body tense under my touch, his muscles rippling as his skin flinches away from my cold touch.

He turns around slowly, and his head bobs in satisfaction when he sees I'm wearing clothes. His hand slides down my arm, lacing his warm, slightly clammy fingers with mine, the callous pad of his thumb brushing across my knuckles. "You're cold."

"I'm not anymore." I smile up at him, his face full of concern. Seeing me smile has his shoulders sinking with relief and some of the worry lines disappearing from his forehead as he places a gentle kiss on my temple.

"You had me worried." He admits as we trudge out from the woods and back onto the pack lawn, my father and mother looking relived beyond relief when I emerge okay. "I didn't know what was happening to you."

A few of my old pack members have gathered around outside my house, their faces a mixture of confusion and worry at why their old Alpha and Luna were screaming for help. I let go of Kaden's hand to walk over to my parents as they envelope me in a bone crunching hug, and I definitely heard some ribs crack.

I don't think I've ever seen such weakness in my parents than in the less hour. I don't know if it's because they can finally allow themselves to be emotional now they're no longer in charge, because they had to appear calm and collected throughout all of my life.

They didn't even show this level of concern when I fell from a tree and broke my arm in four places. This was before I had shifted, so I experienced pain like a human. They were always thinking rational, and my father just picked me up in his arms and carried me to the pack doctor, whispering in my ear that I'd be fine whilst smiling and assuring the pack I was going to be fine.

He's nothing like that man now.

I pull back from both of them, and see my dad is far from the cool, level headed man he's always been. His hands are shaking, and they were clutching to my mother's like a lifeline before he held my face in his calloused hands and inspected me for anything permanent. "Are you okay, Lola? Are you feeling dizzy or nauseous, do you need to sit do..."

"Dad." I interrupt him, forcing his eyes to look at my own instead of everywhere but. "I'm fine, honestly. Look, I haven't grown a third leg or a second head. All that happened was I rebonded with Shiva because she's been gone for so long it was like a first shift."

"How do you  know all this?" My mother asks as she takes my father's hand in her own, her free hand tracing down my cheek.

I look around to see that the crowd of wolves have starting heading over our way, curious at what is happening. I send a quick look to Kaden, and almost like he reads my mind he walks towards the crowd as if to ward them off. I kiss both of my paretns on their foreheads for gesturing towards the back doors of the house that have been left wide open, the wind sending the thin white curtains billowing outside.

"Let's head to the meeting room," I chirp, hoping to lighten the mood. "and I'll explain everything. I promise."

➖➖➖🐺➖➖➖

I feel like over the past few days I've spoken more than my share. Whether it be me telling Kaden that I met the moon goddess, or telling both Kaden and my parents that my wolf has now met the wolf goddess, I feel like I'm all talked out. I decided not to tell my parents about meeting the moon goddess, much to Kaden's distaste. He kept giving me disapproving looks whenever my mum and dad had him out of eyeline, and every time they weren't looking at me I'd return an eyeroll.

The conversation was worth the eyerolls, because now my parents know that what happened to me wasn't something mentally unstable, they're not constantly looking at me like I'm a fragile russian doll that will break if dropped.

They even let me help them pack to move into their new house.

According to pack history, the house that I've lived in my whole life is passed from alpha to alpha, and once the ascension ceremony is complete, the old occupants are moved into one of the houses up on Victor Hill, a wealthy estate on the outskirts of CrecentMoon territory.

My grandparents have a house up there, but they're currently on international business securing peace and trade with European packs. The last postcard I recieved from them they were in Spain and they had signed a peace treaty with the Lucadores pack, and had invited them to our pack in the new year.

Because this was arranged before Sophia was made alpha, she will honour the treaty, because actions by past Alphas are traditionally binding to the future alphas, especially peace.

I finshed putting away all the photoframes into a cardboard box, wrapping bubblewrap securely around each one, when Kaden strolls into the room, a large box under each of his muscular arms. He's put a shirt on now, which I'm half disappointed by. But, the tight black tshirt only accentuates the muscles underneath, so I guess I'm only half disappointed.

"You finished staring at me yet?" He chuckles as he sets his boxes down by the front door before flopping down on the sofa.

"No not yet." I reply cheekily as I continue to stare. He just raises an eyebrow and places his hands behind his head, striking a few poses whilst pouting his lips. I snicker as I throw a pillow at him, which he catches easily with one hand and lobs back. It sails over my head and nearly knocks over one of my mum's vases, and I send him a dry look to which he shrugs sheepishly.

"Has it been nice to come back here?" He asks me after a few minutes of comfortable silence. I let my eyes drift from applying tape to the bubble wrap to look at him. His lips are pulling into a thin line as looks at me with curiosity, his eyebrows pulled together as he awaits my reply.

"It was nice to see everyone." I admit, pressing the tape down untill it's secure. "Apart from the pack I once again passed out, and then had to go through another shift for the first time." Kaden smirks at my response, but I can tell that there's something he wants to say by the way he's still twiddling his thumbs in his lap, the crease between his brows still there.

"I'm ready to go home Kaden." I say, and I watch as his face lights up at my words. "I miss our cabin, and I miss my bed."

He gives me a small smile as he crosses the room and kneels beside me. "Then lets go home."

THIS CHAPTER TOOK MY SO LONG TO WRITE AND I APOLOGISE. I STILL DON'T LIKE IT VERY MUCH BUT SHIT HAPPENS, POOR CHAPTERS WILL COME OUT, LETS JUST MOVE PAST IT AND ONTO THE NEXT UPDATE.

I hope you reread chapter 9 before this one, because I removed their scene in the bedroom because I read it and felt it was rushed and very unnatural. But if you didn't reread, basically they just flirted a lot, very nearly kissed, and then she felt like she'd gotten kicked in the head by a very heavy, very angry horse.

Didn't use those exact words, but now I kind of wish I had, because it would've been kind of funny.

Anyways,

Hope you enjoyed this chapter despite it being very short and uninteresting (shit basically), however, I've already started drafting chapter 11, which is a little bit more exciting, because she's starting to get more involved with DawnStar pack business, and taking up Luna responsibilites.

Bit of a big spoiler but hey ho, I feel like i need to treat you because I didn't with this chapter AT ALL.

Now, I'm off to watch the most recent episode of Fear the Walking Dead because I need to catch up.Comment your favourite FTWD character if you see this, I'm going to kickstart with ALICIA.
