Liviana’s POV

“You ready?” Luan asked from outside.

“In a minute!” I shouted as I finished putting on some tint on my lips.

After I finished, I looked at myself in the mirror.

I wore a white drop shoulder button front fold pleated shirt dress, light makeup and I put my hair in a pony tail.

I got out and saw Luan waiting for me outside the room.

He smiled as he eyed me up and down.

“You look really pretty” he complimented with a smile.

I blushed.

“I know” I said and he chuckled as he offered his hand.

“Let’s go?” he said and I nodded as I held his hand.

Luan intertwined it with his and we both went downstairs.

“We’re leaving!” I shouted and Edmond and Theresa peaked out of the kitchen.

“Okay! Take care of yourselves!” Edmond said.

“Let me know immediately if anything comes up” I reminded him and he nodded.

Luan and I went out and got into his car.

“Where are we off to first?” Luan asked as we settled in.

“We can head this restaurant first to have lunch since we already had breakfast at home” I said as I showed him the location of the restaurant from my phone.

“Sounds good” he said with a smile.

Earlier today, I went to see Dad, Pa and uncle Dante by myself since Luan was still sleeping.

I also told them that I’d be going on a date with Luan.

Dad was very much sulky.

He wanted to go on a father-daughter date with me but couldn’t.

I promised him we’d go on one as soon as I fix everything.

“How was your visit earlier?” Luan asked as he drove.

“Dad was jealous” I told him.

“Jealous of who?” he asked.

“Of you, obviously” I said with a chuckle.

“Because I get to see you?” he asked and I nodded.

“That and because he wants to go on a father-daughter date with me” I said and he chuckled.

“I haven’t asked you but why does your fathers need to hide anyway?” he asked curiously.

Because your father will find them.

“Right now isn’t a good time to let everyone know that the people who they thought were dead for years are actually alive” I said and Luan nodded in agreement.

“Then, why does Dante have to stay with them too?” he asked further.

“Uncle Dante is like a babysitter. If that makes sense. My dad is pretty much a trouble maker. Or so I’ve been told” I said.

“Which dad?” Luan said.

“The one who almost strangled you to death” I said with a chuckle and Luan sighed.

“Your other dad, Alpha Dimitri is pretty…chil” Luan commented and I laughed.

“You say that because you haven’t seen him almost rip someone’s head off of their bodies with his bare hands” I said.

“And when did that happen?” he said.

“When I was 13” I said.

“Why? What happened?” he asked.

“I was new to shifting. I wanted to improve my combat skills so I would sneak out of the pack house to go to the training grounds” I started.

“About half an hour in my training, I heard rustling in the woods and it was too late when I sensed the rogues” I said.

“There were 2. I’ve been training for years in my human form so I was vulnerable when I was in my wolf form” I told him.

“I couldn’t shift back to my human form. I thought I could handle them in my wolf form. But…I was wrong. I couldn’t” I said with a sigh.

“I got badly injured. I lose a lot of b***d. I was close to death when Pa came with guards and warriors with him” I continued.

“I watched as the guards and warriors stayed back while they protected me while Pa easily killed the rogues in his human form. It was my first time that I’d seen him like that. And it was because he saw what state I was in. Because his beloved daughter got hurt” I said with a small smile.

“After that, I was confined in the pack hospital for about 2 weeks” I continued on.

“As soon as I got discharged from the hospital, there was already a new built training hall and he would come with me to train every night no matter how busy he was” I said as I glanced at Luan.

“How do you think he feels about us?” Luan asked nervously.

“Should I answer that honestly?” I asked him and he nodded.

I sighed.

“Based on how I know Pa, I think he’s happy that I have a mate and I found him during a tough time in my life. But at the same time, I think he’s disappointed that out of everyone, it had to be someone who they see as someone in the way of my destiny” I told him truthfully.

“I’m not even opposed to you being the next ruler. I can give up the throne to you, anyway” Luan said with a pout.

I smiled.

“Yeah. But they don’t know that, don’t they?” I said and he sighed then nodded.

But it wasn’t just because of that.

It was also because of your father.

Your father who was one of the people who kept them away from their family all these years.

“Luan” I called him softly.

I want to tell him.

And I’ll tell him today.

Before this day ends.

Because even if it will hurt him, it’s what’s best for him.

I can’t wait for the day when he himself ends up being betrayed and manipulated by his own father.

He’ll lose a family member.

But he’ll still have me.

And I’ll try me best to be enough.

“Yes, baby?” he said as he glanced at me.

I smiled at him softly.

“Let’s spend more time together with Pa and Dad so they’ll get to know you. We’ll make them realize that you’re a good guy, okay?” I suggested.

Luan smiled and nodded.

“Let’s do that” he said and I smiled.

After a while, we reached the restaurant.

We went inside together holding hands.

When a female waiter came to us to take our order, she was ogling Luan in front of me and I almost pulled her hair for it.

“Wife, what do you want to order?” Luan asked me and I looked at him confused.

He looked at me as he waited for my answer.

I looked at the menu.

“I’ll have the pork ribs, please” I said awkwardly.

My irritation from the girl was suddenly gone as I flushed red.

Luan literally called me wife.

“We’ll have 2 pork ribs and a salad. My wife needs to eat healthy for our little one inside her belly” Luan said as he smiled teasingly at me.

I looked at him a little wide eyed.

Is he saying I’m pregnant.

Then, Luan reached for my hand on the table.

“We forgot to wear our wedding ring. We must’ve left it by the bathroom sink after we showered together” he said as he looked at me hand with a smirk.

My jaw almost dropped to the floor and I flushed red.

I saw the jealous face of the woman as she gave us a nod and left.

I quickly pulled my hand away from Luan as I looked at him in disbelief.

“Since when was I your wife? And what little one are you talking about? Lastly, we didn’t shower together nor do we have wedding rings” I said while my face was probably as red as a tomato.

Luan laughed.

“We’re basically married. We just haven’t had a proper ceremony for it. But maybe soon. Also, how are you sure that you aren’t carrying our pup now? Have you checked? And even if you’re not yet carrying our pup, soon enough you will. And as for the rings, we can even get them today if you want. We can also shower together later in the evening” Luan casually said with a shrug.

I looked at him stunned.

He said it too casually.

“You’re crazy” I said but he only laughed.

Our order came and Luan and I ate while talking about how we both can bond with my family.

We wanted them to be able slowly open up to Luan and see him in a better light.

I didn’t expect them to trust him immediately but it would help if they didn’t see him as some sort of threat to me.

After lunch, we headed to the arcade.

“Have you ever been to an arcade?” I asked Luan as we bought tokens.

Luan shook his head.

“No but I’m glad I came here with you for my first time though” he said making me blush.

Luan and I started to play different varieties of games.

I would laugh hysterically when he’d pout and frowned when he loses a game.

He was a competitive one for sure.

“This is a scam. I can’t get any stuffed toy no matter how hard I try” he sulked and I laughed.

“Why do you even want a stuffed toy?” I asked with a chuckle.

“It’s not for me” he said.

“Who is it for then? For Ellie?” I asked knowing how close he’d been with Ellie since he started seeing me.

“It’s for you” he said making my heart flutter.

I smiled as I reached out and slightly pinched his cheeks.

“You’re too freaking cute for your own good, Grey” I said and he pouted at me making me laugh.

“Step aside. Let the pro handle it” I said as he stepped to the side to give me room.

I inserted a coin to the machine and focused on getting a stuffed toy.

Once it was perfectly aligned, I pressed the button and the crane went down as it grabbed the toy.

“Oh! You got it!” Luan said excitedly and I smiled as the crane dropped the toy to the hole.

I crouched down and got the toy out as I showed it to Luan.

It was a blue bear.

“How did you do it?” he asked puzzled.

“It’s easy. Come here” I said and gently pulled him in front of me.

We ended up spending the rest of our time in the arcade by the claw machine.

And finally, after a long time of trying and many tokens later, Luan got his first stuffed toy from the machine.

“Baby, look!” he said as he showed me the pink bear that was similar to the one I got earlier.

“Good job” I complimented him as he looked at it proudly.

“Here” he said as he gave it to me.

I smiled and gave him the blue bear that I got and he smiled happily.

After that, I got Ellie a stuffed toy for when we go back to the pack house.

Then, Luan and I left the arcade to head to the beach to watch the sunset.

Luckily, we arrived there just before the sun set.

Luan laid down a blanket and we sat there while I snuggled into him.

“It’s beautiful” I muttered as I watched the sun set.

“It is” he said as he kissed the top of my head.

“Luan” I called him softly.

He replied with a hum.

I took a deep breath as I gathered all the courage in my body.

“I…I love you” I finally said and looked at Luan.

Luan looked at me in shock.

I gulped.

Then, I saw him tear up and a smile formed on his face.

“You don’t know how long I waited for you to say that” he said as a tear fell from his eye and he cupped my face.

Then, he pulled me in for a k**s.

It was full of love and passion.

We pulled away and Luan placed his forehead on mine.

“I love you so much” he said with a smile.

My heart felt full.
