Liviana’s POV

“Do you want to go with me?” I asked Luan as we got into the car.

Our classes just finished and we were about to go home.

“Won’t your dad kill me?” he asked with a chuckle.

“He’ll probably try but atleast he won’t do it when I’m there. I think” I said and we both laughed.

“Okay” he said with a smile.

Luan started the engine and we made our way to the location where my family stayed in.

We parked from a distance and got out.

I held Luan’s hand on mine.

“Don’t worry. I won’t let dad strangle you again” I said and Luan chuckled.

“Don’t worry, Liviana. I can take another session of strangling from your dad if it’s because of you” he said with a chuckle.

I shook my head in disbelief.

I looked at Luan.

“I’m sorry I couldn’t even do anything the first time it happened. But I’m surely not doing it again” I said as I held his face.

Luan smiled.

“Didn’t I say I was willing to be with you even if it hurt me? This…this is part of it, Liviana” he said as he tucked in a lose strand of my hair.

“Did you really think that I’d want to hurt you, Luan? Yes, we argue and we fight. Sometimes, a lot because our emotions get the best of us. But I’d never want to hurt you. That’s why I stay away when I’m mad and upset. Because I don’t want to hurt you” I told him.

Luan pulled me to him as he gave me a hug .

“I love you so much” he whispered making me smile as I hugged him back.

We stayed like that for a while until we finally made our way to where my family was.

After minutes of walking, we reached the safe place as I held Luan’s hand in mine.

“Dad! Pa! Uncle!” I called out when we got in.

The first person who I saw was uncle Dante.

His eyes landed on me and then at Luan as he made his way to us.

“Hey, kiddo. How are you? I missed you a lot” he said as he gave me a k**s and a hug.

“I’m fine. How are you guys doing here?” I asked.

“We’re bored but we’re fine” he said making me chuckle.

“Livi!” Pa came out with a cheerful smile but then his eyes landed on Luan and his smile disappeared.

“What is he doing here?” he asked with a blank expression.

“I made him come with me” I said and Pa sighed before he gave me a k**s and a hug.

“Your dad will—“

“What’s going on?” my dad came out.

I instinctively shielded Luan and his eyes landed on mine and at Luan’s.

His brows furrowed.

“What is he doing here?” my dad asked in a dangerous tone.

“He’s with me, dad” I said.

“Why?” he asked as he looked at me.

“Because I want him to be” I said and my dad looked at me for a moment without saying another.

“Okay” he simply said.

I blinked twice at his calm answer.

“Are you going to have dinner here?” he asked me.

I glanced at Luan.

“Can Luan have dinner with us?” I asked hopeful.

Dad glanced at Luan then at me again.

“Do you want him to?” he asked and I nodded.

“Then, sure” he said.

I looked at him baffled.

Is he not going to start a fight with Luan?

Even Pa and uncle Dante looked at him in surprise.

“Really?” I asked in shock.

Dad nodded as he made his way to us.

He stopped in front of me and placed his hand on my head.

“Anything for my little girl” he said and gave me a k**s on the top of my head.

I looked at him puzzled.

Then, he looked at Luan.

“As for you, I don’t like you. But for my daughter, I’m willing to put up with you so don’t you dare hurt her” he threatened Luan.

“Dad” I scolded my father.

After that, we all spent time together.

I can say that it was pretty awkward and they bullied Luan from time to time.

But what was surprising was how uncle Dante would side with Luan.

I remember how he used to hate the living hell out of him.

But they seem to be getting along better now which is an improvement.

I stared at them with a smile as they played cards.

Then, I remembered that dream.

I hate to think that I’m right about this one.

But I’ll never know until that day comes.

For now, I have to live my life like it’s my last.

Luan looked at my direction and made his way to me.

“Baby, are you okay?” he asked amd I gave him a small smile.

“Of course, I am. Why wouldn’t I be?” I asked him.

“Nothing” he said as he tucked in a lose strand of hair behind my ear with a smile.

“Are you guys done playing?” I asked him.

“We’re going to prepare dinner” he said and I nodded.

Luan left me to help in preparing dinner for all of us.

Then, we had a peaceful dinner together.

After dinner, Dad and I sat together beside the water while the others cleaned up.

“Liviana” Dad called me softly.

I replied with a hum.

“Are you happy?” he suddenly asked and I looked at him.

I smiled.

“I am” I said and he smiled.

“I’m glad” he said with a smile.

“Dad” I said softly as he looked at me.

“Have I told you before that I love you?” I said and I saw him tear up.

He smiled and shook his head.

“Well, I do” I said and he hugged me.

“I love you more, princess” he said as hw planted a k**s on the top of my head.

After that, we had to go home.

“Will you go here tomorrow?” Dad asked me and I nodded.

“Of course. I’ll come here in the morning” I told him as he gave me a goodbye k**s on my forehead.

“Okay” he said and hugged me goodbye.

I also hugged Pa and uncle goodbye before we left to go back to the pack house.

Luan and I walked back to the car together.

“Do you want to go on a date tomorrow?” I suddenly asked him.

He looked at me with a surprised look.

“We can go to an arcade and stop by some cafes. Then, we can go to the beach to watch the sunset. It’d be nice” I suggested as he looked at me stunned.

“You’re not joking right? You’re not trying to pull my leg? You really want to go on a date, right?” he asked and I chuckled.

“I’m serious” I said as I blushed slightly.

Luan chuckled as he held my hand and intertwined it with his.

“It sounds like a wonderful idea” he said with a smile and I flushed red.

We walked back together holding hands.

Luan opened the door for me then we both got in the car.

We drove back to the pack house while Luan had a wide smile on his face.

I chuckled at his cute reaction.

We drove back to the pack house.

When we got home, we went straight to our room and Luan showered first.

I went to my closet and tried to pick out something to wear for tomorrow.

Then, there was a knock on the door and Edmond came in with a box in his hand.

“Alpha, this came in for you today” he said as he gave me the box.

“Who is it from?” I asked.

“It’s from the palace” he said and I froze.

From the palace?

What would they even send me.

“Okay. Thank you” I said and Edmond bowed his head before he came out.

I held the box in my hand and went to my table.

I put down the box with my eyebrows furrowed.

I lifted up the cover and saw pink confetti and a little white onesie and a tiny pair of sandals then a letter.

Why would they send me this?

I took out the letter and opened it.

Doesn’t this seem familiar to you? Of course not. How can a mere infant remember what she wore when she was born? Isn’t it cute? Your mother must have made them for you to wear. How sweet. I thought you’d want to have it. A souvenir.

“Baby?”

I turned to look at Luan as he just came out of the bathroom.

His brows furrowed as he walked up to me.

“Are you okay? Why are your eyes red? Did you cry?” he asked as he cupped my face.

I gave him a small smile and shook my head.

“I yawned earlier. I’m sleepy” I lied. Again.

“Okay. Shower quickly so we can go to bed” he said and I nodded.

I went to the bathroom and closed the door.

I looked at myself in the mirror.

My eyes glowed a bright gold as I smirked.

“You don’t know what’s coming for you” I muttered as I clenched on the sink.

“I’m not just Alpha Liviana Crest anymore” I said.

“I am…Princess Liviana Alaric. The heiress of both Lunar and Halo” I stated as my eye glowed even brighter than it already was.

“I’m getting the throne no matter what” I said.
