Luanâs POV
âIâm so fcking disappointed in youâ Liviana said before she pulled her arm away from me and got on her motorbike then drove off.
I felt the pang of guilt and pain in my chest.
âLiviana!â I shouted but she didnât stop.
âDamn it!â I cursed before running to my car to catch up on her.
I knew this would be a bad idea.
Flashbackâ¦
I stood beside Livianaâs bed without a word as I stared at her blankly.
Iâve been like that since I came in.
Iâm worried about her but now is not the time to ack all soft around her.
I donât like the fact that sheâs letting that Andre guy stay at her place.
Itâs clear he wants her.
He already knows Iâm her mate but still pursues Liviana.
âAre you just going to stand there like a statue or something?â Liviana said but I didnât answer.
I want to hug her and talk to her.
I want to ask her if sheâs okay and stay beside her all night.
But I canât put my guard down this time.
âOkay. I guess you arenât ready to talk yetâ she said in defeat and got out of her bed.
I grabbed her by the arm to stop her.
âWhere the hell do you think youâre going?â I asked with my brows furrowed.
âOh so youâre talking nowâ she said with a smirk. I frowned at her.
âIâm going to my office. I havenât started on the documents I need to do since you and Andre decided that it would be a good idea to start fighting inside my office earlierâ she simply said and lightly pulled her arm out of my hold before walking to the door.
âYou should go home. I donât think being around me is the best idea for you right nowâ she stated and I looked at her blankly.
But I donât want to go.
Thatâs what I wanted to say.
âYouâre rightâ I said coldly. She gave a small smile before leaving the room.
I sighed before sitting down her bed.
After a few minutes, El came in.
âWhereâs Livi?â he asked.
âShe went to her officeâ I said and he nodded before sitting beside me.
âYou guys really on another loverâs quarrel?â he asked.
âUnfortunatelyâ I said with a forced chuckle.
âIâm not saying this to get on anyoneâs side, okay? I understand that youâre mad at her for always having guys around who are obviously into her. But you know how she is, donât you? Sheâs too dense to notice those things and too soft hearted for her own goodâ he started.
âI would be agitated and pissed off too, to be honest. But come on, Luan. Itâs Livi. If she was into those guys, she couldâve easily got them on a snapâ he said and I glared at him.
El chuckled nervously.
âAnyways, my point is Livi isnât interested in any other male except you. Youâre her mate after all. You shouldnât worry about the other guys who hit on her because sheâll always look at them as either a family or a friend but nothing elseâ El said and gave me a pat on the back.
I went back at my place in a bad mood.
âYou look awful. Had another fight with the girlfriend?â Abe came in my room.
âDonât even get me startedâ I said as I plopped down my bed.
âWhat happened?â Abe asked as he leaned on my door.
âAn old friend of her is staying at her pack house for a few daysâ I said with a frown.
âAn unmated male?â he asked.
âUnfortunatelyâ I said.
âThatâs tough. Your girl really is an unmated male magnet, huh. Interestingâ he said making me frown even more.
Itâs true.
Liviana really does attract a lot of men. Unmated ones at that.
âI mean I would have a crush on her too if she didnât give off the âI can rip off your head from your body if I wanted toâ vibeâ Abe said and shrugged. I glared at him and he chuckled.
Then suddenly his face brightened and my brows furrowed at him.
âYou know what, bro? I think I have an ideaâ he suddenly said.
I raised a brow at him.
âWhat?â I asked curiously.
âWhat if you make Livi jealous?â he suggested. I chuckled in disbelief.
âThatâs not just a bad idea. Thatâs also stupid. Now, go awayâ I said and he pouted before leaving.
I stared at the ceiling.
Make Liviana jealous?
Now, Iâm curious.
Should I do it then?
Probably, not.
End of Flashbackâ¦
It just so happened that the human girl was there to flirt with me after lunch and I sensed Livianaâs presence near so I put up with it.
But I didnât flirt back or agreed to come with her at her place.
Now, everythingâs even more fcked up.
I drove as fast as I can to Crescent Moonâs pack house and saw Liviana getting off her motorbike.
I got down fast before she can go in.
âLiviana, letâs talkâ I said as I grabbed her by the wrist.
She glared daggers at me before pulling her hand away from me.
âGet lost. Iâm not talking to you after what I sawâ she hissed at me.
âItâs a misunderstanding, Liviana. Atleast listen to me before you assume thingsâ I told her.
I saw her jaw tightened and I noticed how red her eyes are.
Did she cry?
âThen talkâ she said as she crossed her arms in front of her chest.
I took a deep breath.
âIt was Abeâs idea. He suggested to make you jealous. I thought it was stupid but when that girl came to me at lunch, I just put up with it because I knew you were there. I swear I didnât flirt back with her, Livianaâ I explained.
Livianaâs brows furrowed as she glared at me.
âDo you think your explanation of yours makes this all better? It made it fckin worse, Luan! Youâre so fcked up!â she shouted and pushed me.
My brows furrowed.
âWhy are you so mad? It always happens to you with other guys now, does it?â I said annoyed.
âDo you think I do it intentionally? Iâm not fcking petty like you!â she growled at me.
âYet it always happens, right?â I spat back.
Liviana chuckled in disbelief before taking a deep breath.
âYou donât understand, do you?â she said and her voice broke slightly.
âUnderstand what, Liviana?â I said.
Liviana bit her lower l*p as she closed her eyes tightly for a moment.
âDid I ever take interest in them, Luan? Did I?â she asked.
I couldnât answer.
âSee? You canât even answer thatâ she said.
I looked away.
âItâs because I donât like them the way I like you, Luan. Why canât you understand that?â she suddenly said and I looked at her in shock.
Liviana looked away.
âWhat do you mean?â I said and she met my eyes again.
She was quiet for a moment.
âLiviana, what do you mean?â I said as I held her hands.
âIâ¦I like you, Luan. I like you more than I thought I could. I like you to the point where I think itâs more than just a likingâ she said as a tear escaped her eye.
My heart clenched.
âI understand why youâre mad at me but to do that stupid idea intentionally just to make me feel this way? Youâre an i***t and I hate you for thatâ she said as tear streamed down my face.
I felt so guilty.
âLivianaâ I said softly as I pulled her to me to hug her.
âIâm not good with words or actions, Luan. I have never felt romantically involved with anyone before and now, Iâm trying because of youâ she sobbed.
âBut why am I hurting so bad for it now?â she said as her hand clenched on my shirt.
âIâm sorryâ I whispered.
âI really am trying, Luan. But why do you have to do this?â she said and started to slightly hit me on my chest.
I hugged Liviana tighter.
âIf youâre tired of me, just tell meâ she sobbed.
âNo, Liviana. Iâm not tired of you, okay? Iâm sorry, baby. Iâm sorryâ I said as I hugged her tighter.
âWhat I did was stupid. I was mad. Iâm sorry. I promise not to do it againâ I said and she looked up at me.
âYou better not, you i***t or else Iâll rip your head off of your bodyâ she growled at me making me chuckle.
âIâm sorryâ I said as I tucked in a hair behind her ear. Liviana sniffed as I wiped her tears.
âIâm going to kill Abe when I see himâ she said and I laughed.
âIâll hide the body for youâ I joked and she chuckled making me smile.
âI swear to the goddess, Luan. If you ever do that ever again, I really am never going to forgive you ever againâ she warned and I nodded.
âOkay. I promiseâ I said.
Liviana sighed.
âDo you mean it?â I suddenly asked and she looked at me.
âMean what?â she asked innocently.
âWhat you said earlierâ I said and she immediately blushed before looking away.
I smiled before holding her chin to face me.
âDid you?â I asked again and she bit her lower l*p and nodded.
âOf course, I did. Why would I lieââ
I kissed Liviana.
She seemed surprised at first but she still responded to my k**s.
It was a slow and passionate k**s.
Full of love and affection.
We broke away as we started to lose air.
I placed my forehead on hers with a smile.
âI love you, Liviana. I love you so much and I donât know what Iâll do if I ever lose you to someone else or if I lose you at allâ I said.
Liviana smiled as she cupped my face.
âI knowâ she whispered.
âBut you wonât lose me, Luan. I wonât let it happen. Trust meâ she continued making me smile.
âI trust you. Iâll always trust you even with my life, Livianaâ I said and hugged her.
âThank youâ she whispered to me.
I kissed her on her forehead.
âNo. Thank you, Livianaâ I said and she looked at me and gave me a peck on the lips with a smile.
Then, we kissed again.
