Luan’s POV

“I’m so fcking disappointed in you” Liviana said before she pulled her arm away from me and got on her motorbike then drove off.

I felt the pang of guilt and pain in my chest.

“Liviana!” I shouted but she didn’t stop.

“Damn it!” I cursed before running to my car to catch up on her.

I knew this would be a bad idea.

Flashback…

I stood beside Liviana’s bed without a word as I stared at her blankly.

I’ve been like that since I came in.

I’m worried about her but now is not the time to ack all soft around her.

I don’t like the fact that she’s letting that Andre guy stay at her place.

It’s clear he wants her.

He already knows I’m her mate but still pursues Liviana.

“Are you just going to stand there like a statue or something?” Liviana said but I didn’t answer.

I want to hug her and talk to her.

I want to ask her if she’s okay and stay beside her all night.

But I can’t put my guard down this time.

“Okay. I guess you aren’t ready to talk yet” she said in defeat and got out of her bed.

I grabbed her by the arm to stop her.

“Where the hell do you think you’re going?” I asked with my brows furrowed.

“Oh so you’re talking now” she said with a smirk. I frowned at her.

“I’m going to my office. I haven’t started on the documents I need to do since you and Andre decided that it would be a good idea to start fighting inside my office earlier” she simply said and lightly pulled her arm out of my hold before walking to the door.

“You should go home. I don’t think being around me is the best idea for you right now” she stated and I looked at her blankly.

But I don’t want to go.

That’s what I wanted to say.

“You’re right” I said coldly. She gave a small smile before leaving the room.

I sighed before sitting down her bed.

After a few minutes, El came in.

“Where’s Livi?” he asked.

“She went to her office” I said and he nodded before sitting beside me.

“You guys really on another lover’s quarrel?” he asked.

“Unfortunately” I said with a forced chuckle.

“I’m not saying this to get on anyone’s side, okay? I understand that you’re mad at her for always having guys around who are obviously into her. But you know how she is, don’t you? She’s too dense to notice those things and too soft hearted for her own good” he started.

“I would be agitated and pissed off too, to be honest. But come on, Luan. It’s Livi. If she was into those guys, she could’ve easily got them on a snap” he said and I glared at him.

El chuckled nervously.

“Anyways, my point is Livi isn’t interested in any other male except you. You’re her mate after all. You shouldn’t worry about the other guys who hit on her because she’ll always look at them as either a family or a friend but nothing else” El said and gave me a pat on the back.

I went back at my place in a bad mood.

“You look awful. Had another fight with the girlfriend?” Abe came in my room.

“Don’t even get me started” I said as I plopped down my bed.

“What happened?” Abe asked as he leaned on my door.

“An old friend of her is staying at her pack house for a few days” I said with a frown.

“An unmated male?” he asked.

“Unfortunately” I said.

“That’s tough. Your girl really is an unmated male magnet, huh. Interesting” he said making me frown even more.

It’s true.

Liviana really does attract a lot of men. Unmated ones at that.

“I mean I would have a crush on her too if she didn’t give off the ‘I can rip off your head from your body if I wanted to’ vibe” Abe said and shrugged. I glared at him and he chuckled.

Then suddenly his face brightened and my brows furrowed at him.

“You know what, bro? I think I have an idea” he suddenly said.

I raised a brow at him.

“What?” I asked curiously.

“What if you make Livi jealous?” he suggested. I chuckled in disbelief.

“That’s not just a bad idea. That’s also stupid. Now, go away” I said and he pouted before leaving.

I stared at the ceiling.

Make Liviana jealous?

Now, I’m curious.

Should I do it then?

Probably, not.

It just so happened that the human girl was there to flirt with me after lunch and I sensed Liviana’s presence near so I put up with it.

But I didn’t flirt back or agreed to come with her at her place.

Now, everything’s even more fcked up.

I drove as fast as I can to Crescent Moon’s pack house and saw Liviana getting off her motorbike.

I got down fast before she can go in.

“Liviana, let’s talk” I said as I grabbed her by the wrist.

She glared daggers at me before pulling her hand away from me.

“Get lost. I’m not talking to you after what I saw” she hissed at me.

“It’s a misunderstanding, Liviana. Atleast listen to me before you assume things” I told her.

I saw her jaw tightened and I noticed how red her eyes are.

Did she cry?

“Then talk” she said as she crossed her arms in front of her chest.

I took a deep breath.

“It was Abe’s idea. He suggested to make you jealous. I thought it was stupid but when that girl came to me at lunch, I just put up with it because I knew you were there. I swear I didn’t flirt back with her, Liviana” I explained.

Liviana’s brows furrowed as she glared at me.

“Do you think your explanation of yours makes this all better? It made it fckin worse, Luan! You’re so fcked up!” she shouted and pushed me.

My brows furrowed.

“Why are you so mad? It always happens to you with other guys now, does it?” I said annoyed.

“Do you think I do it intentionally? I’m not fcking petty like you!” she growled at me.

“Yet it always happens, right?” I spat back.

Liviana chuckled in disbelief before taking a deep breath.

“You don’t understand, do you?” she said and her voice broke slightly.

“Understand what, Liviana?” I said.

Liviana bit her lower l*p as she closed her eyes tightly for a moment.

“Did I ever take interest in them, Luan? Did I?” she asked.

I couldn’t answer.

“See? You can’t even answer that” she said.

I looked away.

“It’s because I don’t like them the way I like you, Luan. Why can’t you understand that?” she suddenly said and I looked at her in shock.

Liviana looked away.

“What do you mean?” I said and she met my eyes again.

She was quiet for a moment.

“Liviana, what do you mean?” I said as I held her hands.

“I…I like you, Luan. I like you more than I thought I could. I like you to the point where I think it’s more than just a liking” she said as a tear escaped her eye.

My heart clenched.

“I understand why you’re mad at me but to do that stupid idea intentionally just to make me feel this way? You’re an i***t and I hate you for that” she said as tear streamed down my face.

I felt so guilty.

“Liviana” I said softly as I pulled her to me to hug her.

“I’m not good with words or actions, Luan. I have never felt romantically involved with anyone before and now, I’m trying because of you” she sobbed.

“But why am I hurting so bad for it now?” she said as her hand clenched on my shirt.

“I’m sorry” I whispered.

“I really am trying, Luan. But why do you have to do this?” she said and started to slightly hit me on my chest.

I hugged Liviana tighter.

“If you’re tired of me, just tell me” she sobbed.

“No, Liviana. I’m not tired of you, okay? I’m sorry, baby. I’m sorry” I said as I hugged her tighter.

“What I did was stupid. I was mad. I’m sorry. I promise not to do it again” I said and she looked up at me.

“You better not, you i***t or else I’ll rip your head off of your body” she growled at me making me chuckle.

“I’m sorry” I said as I tucked in a hair behind her ear. Liviana sniffed as I wiped her tears.

“I’m going to kill Abe when I see him” she said and I laughed.

“I’ll hide the body for you” I joked and she chuckled making me smile.

“I swear to the goddess, Luan. If you ever do that ever again, I really am never going to forgive you ever again” she warned and I nodded.

“Okay. I promise” I said.

Liviana sighed.

“Do you mean it?” I suddenly asked and she looked at me.

“Mean what?” she asked innocently.

“What you said earlier” I said and she immediately blushed before looking away.

I smiled before holding her chin to face me.

“Did you?” I asked again and she bit her lower l*p and nodded.

“Of course, I did. Why would I lie—“

I kissed Liviana.

She seemed surprised at first but she still responded to my k**s.

It was a slow and passionate k**s.

Full of love and affection.

We broke away as we started to lose air.

I placed my forehead on hers with a smile.

“I love you, Liviana. I love you so much and I don’t know what I’ll do if I ever lose you to someone else or if I lose you at all” I said.

Liviana smiled as she cupped my face.

“I know” she whispered.

“But you won’t lose me, Luan. I won’t let it happen. Trust me” she continued making me smile.

“I trust you. I’ll always trust you even with my life, Liviana” I said and hugged her.

“Thank you” she whispered to me.

I kissed her on her forehead.

“No. Thank you, Liviana” I said and she looked at me and gave me a peck on the lips with a smile.

Then, we kissed again.
