Liviana’s POV

“So who’s that?” Luan asked with a frown.

The other guys went out when I told them to. Edmond and El basically had to drag Andre out of the room.

“His name is Andre. He’s an old friend. Him and his mom used to be part of the pack but they left about 8 years ago since his mom found her second chance mate” I explained to him.

“So what is he doing here?” he asked with brows furrowed.

I shrugged.

“He helped in fighting off the rogues and got injured saving me again. But I haven’t talked to him properly yet” I told him.

Luan raised a brow at me.

“Saving you again?” he repeated and I nodded.

“When I was 10 and he was 13, we got attacked by a rogue. I couldn’t shift yet back then and he only started shifting that time. I couldn’t fight as well as I do now that time too. Long story short, he saved us both from getting killed by the rogue. I was unharmed but he was in a critical condition” I said and I saw his expression slightly soften.

“I owe him my life, Luan. I don’t think I would be here if it wasn’t for him. Can you both not try to kill each other so soon?” I asked and Luan sighed.

“Okay. Just because he saved your life. But that doesn’t mean I’ll be nice to him” he said with a pout and I chuckled.

“Thank you” I said as I cupped his face and smiled.

Luan held my hand on his face.

“Anything for you” he said and kissed my forehead. I smiled.

“I’ll go on ahead and talk to him. Do you want to stay with El while I do?” I asked him.

“Can’t I come with you instead?” he asked pouting. I chuckled.

“I need to talk to him with just the two of us Luan. We haven’t seen other in 8 years. That’s a really long time. I don’t think he’d be comfortable having other people around while we talked about personal things” I explained.

Luan sighed.

“Fine. Only because I trust you” he said.

“As you should” I said and we both laughed.

Then he suddenly tensed up for a moment.

It seemed like someone was mind linking him.

“Is everything okay?” I asked Luan. He gave me a small smile and nodded.

“Yeah but I need to go back to my place and settle some things” he said and I nodded in understanding.

“Okay” I said and gave him a small smile.

“Come on. Atleast see me out” Luan said and grabbed my hand as we went out of my room and downstairs where everyone was.

Everyone turned their heads to look at us as we were went down hand in hand.

Dante frowned and Andre glared at Luan while Edmond and El restrained him as they look at us in shock.

We reached the front door and Luan faced me while he kept ignoring everyone else.

“I’ll come back as soon as I can. Don’t get in any more trouble” Luan said sternly and I slightly frowned.

“I’m not a child” I stated and he chuckled.

“Uhuh” he said as he put his hand on the top of my head.

I frowned.

“I’ll let you know when I’m back at my place. Update me on whatever happens with your day” he said and I rolled my eyes with a chuckle.

“You wish. Now, go” I said as I lightly pushed him.

“Bye” Luan said then gave me an unexpected quick peck on the cheek.

I stood there stunned as Luan quickly ran away with my uncle on his pursuit.

“You punk! I’ll rip your throat out when I catch you!” I heard Dante growl as he ran after Luan.

Andre chased after him too while I still stood there completely baffled.

I held my cheek that he kissed.

Damn it.

Now my heart won’t stop beating so fast.

“How do you get involved with so many crazy, protective and extremely….” El paused and looked at me.

“Idiotic and childish men?” I continued and he laughed.

“Your words not mine” he said and then shrugged.

I sighed as I shook my head with a chuckle.

“I’m taking a shower. Tell Andre when he comes back to wait up for me and I’ll be right down to talk to him” I told El and he nodded.

I went back upstairs and took a quick shower then slipped into something comfortable before going back down to the living room.

Andre was sitting in the couch with a frown on his face.

“Hey” I called and he looked at me.

Our eyes met and his look softened a bit.

“Wanna take a walk? It’s been a while since you’ve seen the pack lands” I suggested and Andre nodded in agreement.

“That’s a great idea. Let’s go?” he said as he stood up. I nodded and we went out of the pack house together.

We walked without talking for a little while. Just adjusting to each other’s presence.

It wasn’t an awkward silence.

In mg opinion, it was nice and it reminded me the old times where Andre and I would walk the pack lands when I’m upset or just want to get some fresh air.

He’s always been caring like that.

“So, how have you been?” Andre started the conversation.

“I’ve been better but I’m doing just fine” I said with a chuckle.

“And you? You mentioned earlier that you were traveling around” I said and he nodded.

“Yeah. I started to travel around the Lunar territory as soon as I turned 18” he said.

“Looking for your mate?” I asked curiously. Andre shook his head.

“Not exactly” he said and glanced at me.

“Then why?” I asked again. Andre shrugged.

“Just for fun” he said and I chuckled.

For fun huh.

“I’ve heard a ton of things about you when I was going around” Andre said and I glanced at him.

“Oh really?” I said and he nodded.

“Everyone in Lunar was talking about the first femal Alpha and all. I didn’t know at first who it was since I never heard anyone mention a name” he started.

“But then after going around everywhere in Lunar, my final destination was here and that’s when I actually found out who they were talking about” Andre said and looked at me.

“Surprise, i guess?” I kid and Andre laughed.

“I wasn’t able to witness your first shift and up until this day, I’m still upset about it” he said and pouted. I chuckled.

“Should I have asked Pa to record me and send it to you that time then?” I joked.

“That would have been a great idea. Why didn’t you do it?” he said sulking. I laughed and rolled my eyes.

“Oh please, Andre. It wasn’t that big of a deal” I tried to comfort him.

But it really was a big deal.

“Not a big deal? You’re kidding me, Livi” he said and we both chuckled.

“I missed you so much. You know that right?” Andre suddenly said. I gave him a small smile.

“I do. We missed you just as much, Andre” I told him and he smiled.

“How’s your mom?” I asked him.

“She’s doing good” he said.

“That’s good to know” I replied.

Andre’s mom was an amazing pack doctor and one of the strongest woman I know.

“Is she still working as a pack doctor?” I asked again and he nodded.

“She is” he answered and I nodded.

“I suddenly just remembered. Wasn’t your dream being a pack teacher?” he suddenly said.

I remember I told him that 10 years ago.

“I was 8 when I told you that” I said.

“Oh really? It only seemed like yesterday” he said with a shrug and I chuckled.

“But you’re doing an amazing job as an Alpha. The only question is of you’re happy with what you’re doing” Andre said and looked at me as we stopped.

I paused for a moment.

“At first, it was really hard. I was young. I think I still am. It never would’ve occurred to me that I’d have to take the title at such a young age. But here I am now. My world basically revolves around the pack” I admitted.

We sat down by a tree.

“Are you happy?” he asked and I looked at him.

“I am” I said and he looked up and sighed.

“Are you really?” he asked again.

I looked up as well.

“I’ll be honest with you, Andre. When I first took over the title as Alpha, I saw it more of a responsibility than something I wanted to be” I started.

“I’ve barely lived my life at 16 and having to carry out suge a huge responsibility of ruling a pack was overwhelming for me” I continued.

“But I didn’t have much of a choice and I wanted to make Pa proud. So I did what I did and fought for the pack” I said.

“When I was able to do just that, that’s when I realized that I valued what I was doing. That I actually wanted to stand by Crescent Moon pack for as long as I can” I continued.

“Thinking about it now, it was one of the best things that ever happened in my life and I don’t regret who and what I’ve become now” I told him.

Andre looked at me for a moment and smiled.

“Do you know how amazing you are, Livi?” he said and I chuckled.

“You’ve always been so passionate with everything that you do. I love that about you. I always have” he said and I saw something in his eyes that I couldn’t quite figure out what but it was there.

And I didn’t know how to feel about it.

“It’s probably why until now, after 8 years of being apart….” Andre paused.

“It’s still you, Livi” he said as ahe stared straight into my eyes.

I couldn’t quite breathe properly.

What did he mean by that?
