Livianaâs POV
Itâs already the end of lunch but I still havenât been able to reach out to Luan.
I understand that heâs possessive and territorial over me but itâs not like Blake is much of a threat.
One, heâs human.
Two, Iâm werewolf.
Do I even have to continue?
My classes have already ended and he didnât even attend our class together.
At this point, Iâm just getting as pissed as him for not even letting me explain.
Not that I owe him an explanation.
But ugh!
I got out of my last class and saw Blake waiting for me outside.
âHey. Are you going home? I didnât see your motorbike so I figured youâd need a rideâ he said. I was about to say something butâ¦
âShe doesnât need a ride home, kidâ Dante said and we both turned to look at him.
Blake looked at Dante with his brows furrowed and Dante raised a brow at him.
âWhoâs this?â Blake asked as with brows furrowed at Dante.
Dante tilted his head to the side with an annoyed smirk.
âWho are YOU?â he said glaring at Blake now. I coughed to get their attention and they both looked at me.
âYouâre both making me awfully uncomfortable so before you start lunging at each other, atleast talk first before starting a fightâ I said as I rolled my eyes.
âThis is Blake. Heâs my friend since I was a kid. And Blake, this is Dante. Heâs my dadâs brother and my uncleâ I introduced them and Blakeâs eyes widened.
âDimitri had a brother?â he asked confused. I nodded.
Blake looked at Dante again and gulped nervously.
âHello, s-sir. Sorry for thatâ he said nervously. Dante just stared at him blankly before looking at me.
His facial expression immediately changed when he faced me.
âLetâs go, princessâ he said and took my bag. I nodded and waved goodbye to Blake.
Dante brought the car this time and he opened the shotgun seat door for me before getting in the driverâs seat and we drove off.
âI would appreciate it if you donât try to fight almost every guy that Iâm acquainted withâ I said as we drove back home.
âI see every guy that breathes as a threat to youâ he said with a shrug.
âYou have trust issuesâ I stated. He chuckled.
âIn fact, I doâ he said and we both chuckled.
âDoes he know that youâre a werewolf?â he asked suddenly.
âHe found out not too long ago. His family knows tooâ I told him and he glanced at me with his brows furrowed.
âHis family too?â he said. I nodded.
âHis parents used to work for the pack house. I grew up with him and his sister but I wasnât able to tell them about me being a werewolf out of choice butâ¦things happened and I eventually had to tell him and his sister who is my bestfriendâ I explained. He sighed.
âSo youâre both very close?â he asked again.
âYes. Veryâ I said.
âWho else are you friends with at school?â he asked curiously.
âOnly Blake, Katie and Elâ I told him.
I have very few friends, yes.
âDoes Grey go to the same school as you?â he asked further.
âHe does. We have one class togetherâ I told him and he frowned.
âWhat even brought him here in the first place?â he said both annoyed and frustrated.
Itâs evident how uncomfortable he is with the mere existence of Luan.
And not to add the fact that heâs my mate.
I knew there was something more to it.
Something heâs not telling me.
âWhat if he actually knows who youâve been from the start?â he said as he gripped the stirring wheel tighter.
âI wouldâve known if he knew. Iâm not stupid or naiveâ I told him and he sighed.
âThatâs not my point, Livianaâ he said almost apologetically.
âCan we just not talk about him?â I said and he sighed and nodded.
We arrived outside of the pack house and both got off and as soon as I got out, we both sensed outsiders inside the house.
Dante and I glanced at each other and he led the way inside of the house.
We both got in on high alert and in the living room I saw Alpha Trevor and Tyler.
They both stood up at both my scent and Danteâs and as soon as they saw Dante, they snapped.
They growled and snarled in a defensive position.
Edmond came out of the kitchen and immediately went between everyone. I massaged my temple annoyed.
âSit downâ I said to Alpha Trevor and Tyler before pulling Dante behind me. They looked absolutely confused.
âLiviana, thatâs a hunterâ Alpha Trevor snarled. I gave him a look.
âI said sit down. Youâre in my homeâ I said in a low growl making the middle aged Alpha to submit to my order but not Tyler.
âI said sit down, Tyler. I donât like repeating myselfâ I growled in my Alpha tone. He sat down but both of them kept glaring at Dante.
âCan you please go upstairs for a momentâ I told Dante. He raised his brow at me.
âWhat? Noâ he said and my brows furrowed.
âI said goâ I said sternly only making him frown.
âItâs okay, Dante. Iâm staying here with her. You should listen to herâ Edmond butt in.
Dante looked at Alpha Trevor and Tyler before looking at me again im disbelief.
â5 minutes, Liviana. Iâm going back down againâ he said before making his way upstairs. I sighed and massaged the bridge of my nose.
âWhy do you have a hunter in your territory?â Tyler said. I looked at him and raised a brow then looked at Alpha Trevor and Edmond.
âWhy are they here without my consent?â I asked Edmond. He looked at me apologetically.
âWe couldnât reach you earlier and thought it would be okay to let them in without your ordersâ he explained. I closed my eyes tightly and took a deep breath.
âLivianaâAlpha Livianaâ Alpha Trevor corrected when I gave him a look.
âWhat brings the both of you here, Alpha Trevor?â I said as I made my way to stand in front of them.
Alpha Trevor looked at me then to where Dante left.
I raised a brow and snapped my fingers.
âDonât look there. Look at me. I asked why youâre here without an advance notice because Iâm clearly not pleasedâ I said crossing my arms in front of my chest.
The middle aged Alpha sighed.
âIâm sorry for the sudden visit, Alpha Liviana. Weâ¦weâve encountered a problem in our pack territory and came to ask for helpâ Alpha Trevor said.
Of course.
âOkay, I will listen to your concern but know that I still do not acknowledge sudden visits like thisâ I said sternly.
âWhy? Do you have other peculiar people in your territory like the werewolf hunter from earlier?â Tyler scoffed. I raised a brow at him and his father nudged him and gave him a warning look.
âI do not owe anyone an explanation about my people. Specially not youâ I told him bluntly. He frowned at him.
I sighed and sat on the empty couch.
This is going to be a long one.
Theresa came out from the kitchen with some coffee.
Alpha Trevor briefed me of their packâs situation.
It turns out that there had been multiple rogue invasion attempts in their territory.
It reminded me of that day with Ellie.
I didnât think much of it until now.
My gut feeling is telling me that itâs all the same case.
Only it happened to my pack only once.
âHow many times has it happened?â I asked as I took the last sip of my coffee.
âIt has happened 4 times nowâ he said with a sigh.
âHave you called the other nearby packs to ask if it has happened to them as well?â I asked again. He nodded.
âIâve asked 2 packs so far and theyâve experienced it atleast twiceâ he said. I nodded.
On cue, Dante came down with a blank expression and Alha Trevor and Tyler looked at him again.
Dante stood beside me with his arms crossed.
âThis is Alpha Trevor Howl and his son, Tyler. Alpha this isâ¦â I started and looked at Dante.
âDante Crestâ he finished it for me and I saw how the menâs eyes widened.
âYou still remember that day with Ellie, right?â I asked him and ignored the other men.
âOf courseâ he said.
âThe rogues you encountered that day. How many were they?â I asked him.
âA dozen, I think. I can be too sure because I effortlessly killed them allâ he shrugged and glanced at Alpha Trevor and Tyler.
I know he was trying to intimidate them.
I shook my head slightly and held him by the jaw lightly so he would only focus on me.
âTell us everythingâ I said. He raised a brow at me curiously then removed my hand on his face.
âWhy? Whatâs happening?â he asked.
âThere has been a series of rogue attacks in the neighboring packsâ I told him.
âThatâs why theyâre here?â he said pointing to Alpha Trevor and Tyler. I nodded.
I immediately put down his pointed arm.
My own uncle is giving me a serious headache.
We talked about the details from that day and it had matched the incident from Alpha Trevorâs except the rogues that attack my pack territory couldnât reach anyone to harm since Dante was present.
We only had the basic details of the case and would have to dig in deeper into it.
Right now, we were at a dead end.
What we knew for sure though is that itâs not a normal rogue attack.
We had finished up with briefing and agreed to meet with other Alphaâs from other neighboring packs regarding the matter.
Tyler did in fact kept staring at me most of the time he was there.
To which Dante seemed to notice as well and did not appreciate.
I personally saw Alpha Trevor Alpha and Tyler off with Dante and Edmond.
As soon as they were out of sight, Dante turned to me with a frown.
âDid you just send ME to my room earlier?â he said in disbelief and Edmond and I chuckled.
âWe were all equally flustered with the situation. I didnât want bloodshed in my living roomâ I simply said.
âAs for the unauthorized visitâ I said turning to Edmond. He lowered his head.
âIâm sorry, Alphaâ he said and I sighed.
âNever again, Edmondâ I told him and he nodded.
We walked back to the pack house together.
âAlso, that kid with that Alpha keeps staring at you. The next time he does that, Iâll be sure to gouge his eyes outâ Dante growled. I chuckled.
Luan would have felt the same.
