Livianaâs POV
I woke up to a knock on my door. I g*****d and covered myself in my blankets as the door opened.
âLiviana, you need to prepare for schoolâ I heard Danteâs voice. I g*****d again and lazily got up.
âIâll be down in 20â I said and he nodded before closing the door. I huffed and got out of bed.
I went to my bathroom and took a quick shower before dressing up into my usual school clothes.
I got my back pack and went down.
âGood morning, Alphaâ Theresa greeted me.
âGood morningâ I said as I grabbed an apple from the kitchen counter then headed to the door.
âWhere do you think youâre going without eating breakfast?â Dante said appearing from the goddess knows where.
âI donât eat breakfast before schoolâ I shrugged. He raised a brow at me.
âYou will nowâ he said then dragged me back to the kitchen and made me sit down on the kitchen stool.
âI donât want breakfastâ I frowned.
âYou donât want it but you need itâ he said and took my apple before putting down a plate in front of me.
âI donât need it. Iâll have lunch later anywayâ I said.
âYou eat at school. They barely serve enough food that fits a werewolfâs appetiteâ he said and gave me a stacks of pancakes and bacon.
Dante reminds me so much of my dad, Dimitri. He was never a fan of me leaving for school without eating breakfast.
If only Danteâs daughter didnât die, he couldâve made such a wonderful father too.
I sighed before digging into the food.
Dante just watched me eat as he made himself some coffee and drank it.
âCan I drive you to school?â he asked hopeful and I looked up at him.
I can tell how much he wanted to do it.
How much he wanted to do things that he couldâve done for his own daughter but didnât get the chance to.
âDo you want to?â I asked him. He nodded vigorously. I chuckled.
âYouâll have to pick me up too thenâ I said. He nodded.
âOf courseâ he said with a wide smile.
I finished up breakfast quickly and we went out together. We took my motorbike to school instead of a car.
It didnât take too long for us to arrive to school.
Dante dropped me off in front of our school and I could feel everyone staring in our direction.
âHave a great day, princessâ he said slightly ruffling my hair.
âI get off at 3:30pm. If you canât pick me up, I can ask a friend to drive me homeâ I told him. He shook his head.
âIâll be sure to pick you up later. I donât trust anyone with you anywayâ he said with a shrug and we both chuckled.
âThank youâ¦uncleâ I said and he gave me a warm smile.
âYouâre welcome, Livianaâ he said with a gentle smile.
I waved him goodbye and I went inside the campus and to my locker and saw Blake waiting there.
Our eyes met and he smiled at me widely. I almost ran to him as I gave him a hug.
Finally.
âYou missed me huhâ he teased and I playfully rolled my eyes.
âI thought you didnât want to be my friend anymoreâ I said. He pouted.
âI would never not want to be part of your life. Even with âeverythingâ I had found outâ he said as he hugged me tighter.
âYou were avoiding meâ I pointed out. He chuckled.
âI just had a lot on my mind that time. Iâm sorryâ he told me.
âItâs okay. I understandâ I told him and he gave me a small smile before kissing the top of my head.
A growl resonated in the hallway and I saw an angry Luan walking towards out.
Oh ghad.
I immediately went in front of Blake to cover him but he pulled me back and hid me behind him.
Luan reached us and he immediately held on to Blakeâs collar with a snarl but Blake didnât even look fazed.
âDonât you fcking dare to touch my mate ever againâ Luan warned Blake.
âI donât care if sheâs your mate. Sheâs my friend and Iâve been with her way longer than you. If you canât deal with that, then thatâs not my problem anymore. But you canât keep awayâ Blake said and Luan growled lowly at him then grabbed Blakeâs neck.
I moved and immediately held his wrist to stop him from strangling Blake or ripping his throat out.
âStop itâ I said sternly and Luan looked at me with furious eyes.
âYouâre siding with him?â he said in disbelief.
âThis isnât a situation to pick sides.
Let him go before you hurt himâ I said as I tightened my grip on his wrist.
Luan looked at me in disbelief before glaring at Blake and letting him go.
âI thought we were doing well. I guess notâ he said before walking away and I saw how his eyes lightly lit up in pain.
I closed my eyes tightly and massaged my temples.
I did not want this to be the start of my day.
âWhatâs wrong with him?â Luan said annoyed as he aggressively fixed his shirt.
âWeâ¦uhm weâre normally possessive and territorial specially with theirâ¦mates. I guess he didnât appreciate how platonic we were with each otherâ I explained. He raised his brow curiously.
âItâs a werewolf thing huhâ he whispered. I nodded.
âSo youâre possesive and territorial too?â he asked. I shrugged.
âNot really. I guess the mate bond doesnât work on me as well as it does to othersâ I admitted. He chuckled.
âAre you sure youâre a werewolf? Because I think Iâm the more possesive and territorial one between usâ he whispered to me and we both chuckled.
âCome on. Letâs get you to classâ he just said and walked me to class with his arms around my shoulder.
I tried mind linking Luan to no avail.
âAmaris, can you contact Luanâs wolf and tell him to let Luan know that I want to talk?â I mind linked Amaris.
âI hate that you always manage to hurt our mate, Livianaâ Amaris replied upset.
âI didnât mean to, Amaris. Blake is family. He always was and he always will. He needs to understand thatâ I replied making my point.
âYouâre cluelessâ she replied and shut me off.
I sighed.
Great.
Now, my mate and wolf are both upset with me.
