Itâs been two weeks since I left the hospital and a week since I told Blake and Katie about my true identity as a werewolf and an Alpha.
Katie asked a lot of questions about our culture but Blake on the other hand was being distant with me.
It was quite upsetting.
But I tried to understand him.
I have yet to tell anyone about my true parents.
The only one who knew was Luan.
Iâve been spending a lot of time with him too. Well, I didnât have much of a choice.
Amaris liked his presence.
As for me, I didnât mind it.
You can say Iâm still in denial.
With all of this going on, Iâm impressed I havenât lose my mind, really.
I put down the paperwork in my desk
Then I heard footsteps followed by a knock.
Luan comes in with Ellie on her hand.
âLivi!â she squealed excitedly.
Luan walked to me and gave me Ellie.
âHi, little oneâ I said kissing her cheek.
âWhat are you doing?â she asked me.
âJust some homeworkâ I said. She nodded her head in understanding.
I looked up at Luan.
âYouâre here. Againâ I said. He casually just sat on a couch in my office.
âOh come on. Donât act like you donât like seeing meâ he said with a grin. I rolled my eyes.
Then there was another knock on the door.
Theresa peeked in. She bowed at me and Luan.
âMommy!â Ellie waved her hand at her.
âAlpha, I have to take Ellie for a bathâ she said. I nodded and stood up giving her Ellie.
She held onto me not wanting to leave just yet.
âEllieâ her mom warned her. She pouted.
âCome on, little one. You can come visit me after your bathâ I told her. She sighed and nodded before leaving with Theresa.
I went back to my swivel chair and went through the files again.
âHow long are you going to keep working?â Luan asked with a hint of annoyance.
âHow long are you going to stay here?â I asked back with an eyebrow raised. He frowned.
Then, my phone rang.
I answered it.
âHello? Who is this?â I asked the other line.
âItâs Tyler Howlâ the man from the other line said.
Luan growled and I stood up leaving the room.
âWhatâs up?â I asked.
âMeet me tomorrow at 5 for dinnerâ he said. I raised a brow.
âWhy would I?â I said. He chuckled.
âA deal is a dealâ he said then I realized.
I had already forgotten about that.
I sighed.
âOkay. Text me the addressâ I said in defeat.
âSee you tomorrowâ he chuckled and ended the call.
I turned to see Luan looking at me with a glare.
âWho was that?â he asked his voice almost in a growl.
I knew there would be no point in lying.
âTyler Howl. Iâm meeting him tomorrow for dinnerâ I said casually.
He growled and the next thing I know, Iâm pinned on the wall as Luanâs eyes glowed a dangerous green.
âYou will do no such thingâ he growled. I looked at him in disbelief.
âGet off meâ I warned. He snarled at me.
I sighed and cupped his face.
His breathing started to calm down.
I leaned in for a k**s.
He was stunned at my sudden move but gave in.
It wasnât that slow and gentle k**s.

âDuring the camp, I asked him a favorâ I started. He listened.
âI made him switch tents with Blake because you â I said.

âWell, that favor wasnât freeâ I said.
âIn return for that favor, I had toâ¦go on a âdateâ with himâ I explained. He growled and backed away from me.
I sighed.
âA fcking date?!â he hissed.
âWell, just so you know if you werenât acting like a jealous a*s wolf who was ready to pounce on an innocent human, I wouldnât have done what I didâ I told him. He looked flustered.
âAre you saying that this is my fault?â he asked in disbelief.
âDo you think itâs your fault?â I asked back. He looked guilty.
âStill, youâre not goingâ he said sternly. I raised a brow at him.
âThatâs not your choice to makeâ I said sternly.
We looked at each other not backing down.
He was first to look away with clenched fists.
I sighed and approached him taking his hands on mine.
âItâs just dinnerâ I assured. He looked me in the eyes and sighed.
âItâs not like youâre going to listen to me anywayâ he said sulking. I chuckled.
âExactlyâ I teased and he frowned.
Then we kissed again.
This time it was slow and gentle but there was still the feeling of need.
I really donât know if I should be doing this.
Amaris sure loves this tho.

He continued kissing, lapping and sucking on my neck then his hands started traveling to the hem of my shirt anf inside it.
I felt a spark when his hand touched my bare skin under my shirt as it made its way to mounds.

âLivi!â I heard Ellie.
I immediately pushed Luan away and turned to see Ellie turn to the corner of the hallway and to us.
âHey, little oneâ I said flushing red.
Not the right time.
