Liviana’s POV

I held Blake and Katie’s hands as we made our way to the woods.

Luan, El and the twins are in front of us.

The twins are holding on firmly on Luan while El is making sure he doesn’t see us even if he turns his head back.

Luan absolutely despised the fact that I was holding Luan’s hand.

We finally arrived to where we needed to be.

It was today.

I needed to tell them the truth about my identity. What I am. What we are.

It was to keep them safe.

“What are we doing here, Livi?” Katie asked curiously.

I put her and Blake side by side.

“You know how much I value the both of you, right?” I said. They nodded.

“Of course” Blake said.

“We grew together. Your like my older sister” Katie said holding my hands. I smiled.

“I…I had to hide something from the both of you” I confessed. They both looked at me confused

“It was to protect you” I explained.

“What is it?” Katie asked.

I looked at the both of them hesitantly.

“Please don’t fear me. I would never do anything to hurt the both of you” I said as I backed away.

“What do you mean?” Blake asked.

I looked at them still worried how they’ll react.

“Please keep an open mind” I said and shifted.

They both gasped in surprise and froze on the spot.

For the first time in my life, I saw them look at me with fear in their eyes.

I lowered my head to tell them that I wouldn’t do anything to harm them.

“L-livi” Katie stuttered and burst out crying. I tried to approach her but she backed away in fear and I whimpered.

Of course, she’s scared.

I looked at Blake and he was still in shock.

Still, he reluctantly approached me.

“L-livi?” he asked. I slowly put my head on his side rubbing on him with my fur. He flinched.

I whined sadly.

It was difficult to see them react this way.

Blake carefully caressed my fur then I felt him ease a little then he looked at the bawling Katie.

“It’s Livi, Katie. She’s still Livi” he assured her. Katie looked at my wolf form again then ran and pounced on me hugging me.

“How could you hide this to us for so long?” she sobbed.

I couldn’t answer her but just rubbed my head on her. She sniffed and wiped her tears.

I turned to Blake.

He caressed my head and carefully scanned my wolf form.

“You look beautiful” he said and kissed my forehead.

Luan growled and we all looked at him. I snarled at him and he huffed in frustration.

I sighed then motioned to El to give me a change of clothes. He approached me and gave me my clothes.

I went behind the bushes.

” Where are you going?” Blake asked and tried to follow me but El stopped him.

I shifted back and quickly slipped in my clothes.

The two of them both looked shocked but somehow fascinated now.

“I’m sorry it took so long to tell you. I…didn’t know how you’d take it” I admitted.

Blake and Katie hugged me while Katie cried.

“Does it hurt?” she sobbed. I cupped her face.

“No, it doesn’t” I assured her.

“Does that mean what happened in camp wasn’t a nightmare?” Blake suddenly realized.

I nodded carefully.

“T-then how did I…” he said terrified. I cupped his face this time.

“I saved you after you tried to save me” I chuckled. His eyes shook.

“Don’t ever do such a thing again” I growled. His eyes softened.

“You’re an i***t” Katie said chuckling and sobbing.

Blake rolled his eyes.

The 3 of us hugged again.

I felt a sense of relief that they knew now.

Then I heard Luan fake a cough.

We all looked at him.

“And them?” Katie asked curiously.

“They’re werewolves too” I said. Katie hid behind me.

“Don’t worry. They wouldn’t hurt you” I said and gave Luan and the twins a look.

The twins raised their hands innocently.

Luan rolled his eyes.

“Was that why Grey there with you in the hospital?” Blake asked curiously. I nodded.

Well, that and because his my mate.

Luan raised a brow at me.

“I was there because I’m her mate” he said it because I didn’t.

“Mate?” Blake and Katie said. I nodded slowly.

“It’s…a werewolf thing. A mate is…” I said and glanced at Luan.

“A werewolf’s other half” I finally said earning a satisfied grin from Luan.

“So he’s your boyfriend?” Katie asked.

“Yes” Luan said.

“No” I said.

Luan growled at me.

Blake hid me behind his back instinctively.

Luan approached us but the twins held him again and I immediately went in front of Blake.

I sighed.

“It’s more than just that” I explained.

I saw how Katie looked at us in awe but Blake’s reaction looked disappointed.

“Is there anything else we need to know about you?” he asked. I nodded.

“Well, I’m an Alpha” I said casually.

“An Alpha?” Katie asked again. I nodded.

“The leader of the pack” I explained. Their eyes widened.

“A pack?!” they exclaimed. I nodded again.

“So they’re part of your pack?” Katie said pointing to Luan, El and the twins.

“El is. The 3 of them, no” I said. Blake raised his brow.

“Then who are they exactly?” he asked.

“Royalty” I said. Blake coughed in surprise.

“Werewolves have royalty?” Katie asked curiously.

“Yeah. He…” I said pointing to Luan.

“Is a prince and Abe and Beau are his cousins” I explained. Katie made an ‘ohh’ expression while Blake just looked Luan seriously. Luan returned back the challenging gaze.

“You’re mate is a prince!” Katie squealed but then she looked at Blake glaring at her.

“Oh” she suddenly said then looked at me then at Blake then at Luan then at me again.

“Uhm…just a curious question” Katie said. I nodded.

“What is it?” I asked. Katie glanced at Blake.

“How important is this mate thing to werewolves?” she asked.

I bit my lower l*p.

“A mate is the other half of our soul. It’s really important, I guess” I said.

Then, Blake walked away.
