Luan’s POV

Liviana made us go out while her pack’s Beta and head Warrior stayed with her.

Did I like it?

Absolutely not.

Did I do it.

Yes.

I didn’t want to cause her anymore stress as it is although my pride and ego are badly wounded now.

Liviana’s pack member named El stayed away from me and the twins.

I approached him and he looked at me but immediately bowed his head low avoiding my gaze and paying respect.

“Luan” I said and held out my hand.

He looked at me, gulped and reluctantly accepted my hand.

“El…your majesty” he said nervously.

“You can drop the formalities when it’s just us and well, with them” I said pertaining to the twins. He nodded.

“How long have you known Liviana?” I asked curiously.

“Since we were basically toddlers. We…grew up together. She’s known me my whole life” he said.

I suddenly envied him for that.

“What was she like back then?” I asked.

“When we were kids?” he asked. I nodded.

“She’s always been someone who made a great leader. She’s strong, brave, selfless and extremely loyal” he said.

She is like that.

“Is she—“

We heard a scream from the room and I immediately recognized it as Liviana’s.

I barged in the room and saw Liviana still in her hospital bed gripping on it.

The 2 men seemed startled and confused attending to her.

I shoved them off and sat beside Liviana as she seemed to be in a daze.

I held her by her shoulders.

“Liviana” I called her.

She didn’t respond or look at me.

“Liviana, baby” I said again.

No response.

“Please snap out of it, Liviana” I said worried.

I looked at the 2 men but they seemed to be clueless as to why she’s suddenly like this too.

What happened?

Tears started falling from her eyes and it broke me to see her like this.

“Liviana, look at me” I said softly. Then she snapped out of it.

“What’s wrong, baby?” I asked her.

I saw how her lips trembled.

“I…I’m a Princess” she managed to say. My brows furrowed confused.

“What do you mean?” I asked her.

She didn’t answer but held on to me for a hug. I wrapped my arms around her protectively.

“It’s okay, baby. It’s okay. I’m here” I assured her as she burst into tears.

I didn’t know what exactly was happening but all I could do was let her know that I was here for her.

It took a while for her to calm down and she ended up falling asleep again.

Everyone had to take their leave and I stayed with Liviana.

I’ve never seen her so vulnerable before.

Sure, it was nice that she is able to show me this side of her like how I had shown mine to her.

But not like this.

My heart keeps breaking seeing her like this.

I sighed and held her hand before resting my head on the side of her bed.

I saw myself in the forest and Apollo, my wolf laying down looking depressed.

I approached him.

“What’s wrong with you?” I asked him an obvious question.

“Mate suffering” he whimpered. I sighed.

Apollo and I never had this kind of problem before.

We’ve never been this vulnerable too.

We’ve always been as cold as ice showing no weakness.

Now, we’ve found our mate and she’s become our only and greatest weakness

“I know. We’ll help her. She’ll be okay. Hopefully” I tried assuring him and caressed his black fur.

Then his ears perked up.

“Mate gone”

I jerk awake and I looked at where Liviana is supposed to be.

Fck.

She’s not here anymore.

I stormed out and went to the other room.

I was almost sure she’d be there but no.

Sht.

I went outside and all over her pack’s hospital to look for her.

Liviana, where are you?

Not being able to find her inside the hospital, I mind linked the twins to come and bring some of my men to help find her and also let Liviana’s men know.

I shifted and began my search outside again.

Please, Liviana.

I ran through the woods trying to track her scent to no avail.

I went further.

Then I found her scent.

Finally.

I followed it and after a few more minutes of running, I found her in our usual spot.

By the river.

Of course.

I shifted back then quickly realized that I had no change of clothes.

Liviana turned to my direction seeing me behind the bush standing awkwardly. She chuckled then approached me but then went to another bush and took out some clothes then threw them at me.

I quickly slipped into them smelling another male’s scent.

“Those are my father’s. I figured if you woke up not being able to see me, you’d come searching without thinking” she said and walked back to the platform by the river.

I followed behind her.

“You should be resting” I told her.

“I think almost a week of rest is more than enough for me” she said not looking at me.

“Liviana” I said trying to get her to look at me. She didn’t.

“I just found out that the father I thought gave life to me and raised me isn’t actually my real father” she said and looked up to the moon.

“What do you mean?” I asked her confused.

She finally looked at me and slipped a piece of paper to me. A picture.

I looked at it and immediately recognized the man.

I had only ever seen him once on a portrait that was well hidden back in the castle but I was punished for that and the portrait was soon sent on fire.

It was King Kale Alaric.

I looked at her confused but she was no longer looking my way.

I looked at the picture again and flipped it.

‘King Kale Alaric and Princess Diana White with Princess Liviana Alaric’

My brows furrowed confused.

“King Kale Alaric is his Highness from Lunar” she started.

Lunar was what our whole territory was called.

“Princess Diana White is her Highness from Halo” she continued.

Halo was our enemy territory.

My brows furrowed still confused.

“It was forbidden love. Yet…” she sighed.

“Yet, they had me” she stated and a single tear fell from her eye.

I instinctively reached out to her and wiped her tear as I processed everything.

I knew Liviana wasn’t just a normal werewolf or Alpha. She was worth so much more than that and even more than than myself.

But this…

I learned about all I needed to know about being a royalty who will at some point take over the throne.

But no one taught me anything about this.

In fact, any knowledge about the former King was never taught to me.

I guess, it was because of this.

The King had fallen in love with someone he shouldn’t even acknowledge.

And their love gave birth to someone who can take over both territories with all the right.

It might sound like good news considering that the two territories can finally come together.

But in the greedy minds of the royalty on both the territories, Liviana is bad news.

She can break down the boarders that the leaders built for centuries.
