Livianaâs POV
Did I die?
Did I give my life to Blake?
Is he alive?
What happened?
I slowly opened my eyes and couldnât move any part of my body.
I couldnât even feel any part of my body, actually.
Where am I?
I looked around and figured out I was in the hospital.
How did I get here?
Whereâs Blake?
I tried to sit up only for my body to give away but someone catches me.
âLivi!â itâs El.
âW-whereâs B-blake?â I asked barely able to speak.
âHeâs in the other room. Please donât move too muchâ he said. I slowly shook my head.
âI-I need to s-see himâ I insisted.
âNo, Livi! What you need is restâ he said sternly. I growled.
âP-pleaseâ I begged. El sighs and the door opens.
âLivi!â Edmond comes in.
âI-I need to s-see B-blake. P-pleaseâ I said. Edmond and El look at each other and sighed.
Edmond goes out and returns with a wheelchair.
âYouâre so stubbornâ El says annoyed and lifts me up putting me in the wheelchair.
He then pushes it out and we went to the next room.
I immediately saw Blake laying down on the hospital bed with his mom on his side.
El pushes me as close as he can.
I reach out to him weakly holding his hand.
âYou two have been out for 3 days. You were the first to wake up but the doctor said Blake is stable and you donât need to worryâ El told me.
I turned to Leah, Blakeâs mom.
âI-Iâm s-sorry. I c-couldnât protect B-blakeâ I said and a tear escapes my eye.
âNo, sweetie itâs okay. You saved him and risked your own life to keep him aliveâ Leah said holding my hand as tears fall from her eyes.
I turned to Blake again then tried to stand up. El helped me and I sat at the edge of the bed with him supporting my body.
I leaned in and put my forehead on Blakeâs forehead.
âW-wake up. P-pleaseâ I said closing my eyes.
After a moment, I hear Leah gasp and I open my eyes to meet Blakeâs. He smiles weakly at me.
âHiâ he said. I smiled.
âH-heyâ I said and lift myself back which made my body give out once more but El catches me lifting me up in his arms.
âYou guys can talk later. What you both need is restâ he says and lifts me out of the room.
Then I heard a loud thud and I saw Grey at my door.
The look of anger on his face is replaced with relief as he approaches.
âMove, your majestyâ El said rushing and went inside my room then put me back on my bed.
Grey growls at El then look at me worried.
âLivianaâ he said softly holding my hand and cupping my face.
His eyes looked at me with so much emotion.
Relief.
Frustration.
Joy.
Sadness.
Remorse.
âYou worried me to deathâ he said as his eyes watered.
I looked at El hoping he can give us some privacy.
He sighed and left without a word.
I reached out to touch Greyâs face and he held my hand as I cupped his face on one hand.
âT-tell me w-what happenedâ I said. He sighs.
âAfter your human friend switched with that other guy, I didnât bother with him anymore seeing how you had to make a way to make him stay away from meâ he started.
âDuring the bonfire, I heard you said you were going back to the tent and as much as I wanted to talk to you, I know you were still very pissed at me so I didnât botherâ continued on.
âAfter a while I couldnât help but feel anxious when you were gone and I tried to follow you to your tent only to find out that youâre gone and so is your human friendâ he said.
âI was furious and I had the twins help me find the both of you only to smell rogues and then see your human friend almost lifelessâ he sighed.
âWe followed your scent and the rogues to no avail. We only sawâ¦their remains so we went back to where your human friend isâ he explained.
âThen we saw you. You had already shifted back and as I was about to approach you, you seemed toâ¦light up. The next thing we know, your human friend is healed and you suddenly faintedâ he said.
âWe brought both of you here and your human friend was unconscious but stable. You on the other hand, were not. The doctor said it was almost your life was suck out of your bodyâ he finished.
That was accurate.
âHow did you do that?â he suddenly asked. I gave him a weak smile.
âI d-donât know e-eitherâ I told him. He nodded in understanding and caressed my hair.
âDonât do it ever againâ he slightly growled and looked down. Then for a second, I caught a glimpse of a tear.
My heart suddenly ache.
âMate is worried. Mate is sad. Liviana comfort mateâ Amaris whined.
âL-Luanâ I called him softly. He looked up, his face slightly lit up with my mention of his first name.
âI-Iâm sorryâ I said. He gave me a small smile and he leaned in putting his forehead on mine.
âI should have been with you but I let my pride get in the wayâ he said with a sigh.
âIâm sorry, babyâ he said. I nodded.
âItâs n-not your f-faultâ I said.
Then his gaze shifted to my lips and he slowly closed the gap between us.
Our lips met.
It was a slow and gentle k**s. He was careful and cautious as if afraid heâd hurt me in any way.
But I wasnât hurting at all.
In fact, I felt like I was being healed myself.
As much as I hate to admit it, I loved how his lips felt on mine.
We parted and he leaned his forehead on mine.
âI love youâ he said.
All I can give him is a smile and a peck on the lips.
I canât.
I shouldnât.
Atleast, not yet.
Then, Alex came in.
He saw Grey and bowed to him before rushing to me and holding my hand.
âLiviâ he said worried. I gave him a weak smile.
âH-hiâ I greeted him.
âHow are you?â he asked with a small smile.
âI feel like s-shtâ I said lightly chuckling. He chuckle too.
âT-the warriors?â I asked.
âWeâve continued usual training except it became more intense when they found out about what happened to you. Theyâre worried. Everyone isâ he said
âS-sorryâ I said guilty. He sighed.
âYouâre awake now so thatâs all that mattersâ he said and caressed my hair.
Grey faked cough and we both looked at him while Alex lowered his head.
I rolled my eyes.
Alex then left and let me rest.
I fell asleep.
I found myself in the forest again.
Then I saw Diana again.
I ran to her and she caught me in her eyes.
âThank you. Thank you so muchâ I told her. She hugged me back caressing my hair.
âHow are you feeling?â she asked.
âDrained but Iâm glad Blake is still aliveâ I said.
âIâm sorryâ I said. She looked at me confused.
âWhen I healed Blake, it hurt so much. That mustâve been how you felt too when you healed me. Iâm sorry you had to feel thatâ I told her. She gave me a small smile.
âI would heal you as many times as I need to as long as Iâm able to take away the painâ she said.
âDianaâ¦â I said.
âYes?â she replied.
âI saw you in my dreamâ I told her.
âAre you sure itâs a dream?â she asked. My brows furrowed confused now.
âWhat do you mean?â I asked confused. She gave me a small smile.
Then, I woke up.
I sat up.
I regained my strength back.
I saw Luan sleeping beside me on a chair.
I smiled and caressed his hair.
He woke up and rubbed his eyes sleepily.
âAre you okay?â he asked me worried now. I nodded.
âLuan, can I ask you a question?â I asked. He nodded.
âWhat is it?â he asked.
âDo youâ¦.know a Princess Diana?â I asked. He thought about it.
âNo, I donât think soâ he said. I sighed.
What am I missing?
Then I remembered something.
âKaleâ I muttered then looked at Luan.
âHis Highness, Kaleâ I said. He looked a little surprised.
âThe former King Kale?â he said.
My heart sped up.
âHe was a King?â I asked. He nodded.
âHow do you know that? We havenât even been born when he was on the throneâ he asked confused.
My heart sped up.
Diana mentioned a Kale and my father said his Highness so I figured he was royalty too. But why doesnât Luan know Diana?
âWhat do you know about him?â I asked.
âAll I know is he was King before my father. He left the throne unattended and just suddenly disappeared then my father took over. If I remember correctly, itâs King Kale Alaric.â he explained.
I held my chest as it beat uncontrollably.
King Kale Alaric.
âAre you okay?â Luan asked me.
Why does that name seem so familiar?
