Liviana’s POV

It’s been a few months since Luke was almost kidnapped.

It was the biggest fright of my life.

From time to time, that man still crosses my mind.

I found out what he was.

He’s not a werewolf.

He’s not a hunter.

He’s not human either.

He’s a vampire.

I thought they were a myth.

Now, I know they’re true.

Not only that, he saved my son.

Still, it makes me wonder why he was in werewolf territory.

But I’m glad.

He saved my child and was able to give him back to me.

He also called me a bad mother and I’d rip his throat out for that but I’d let him pass just this once.

“Mommy mommy mommy!” Luke said cheerfully as he burst inside my room.

“Hi, baby” I greeted him.

“Mommy, look” he said and showed me a sticker of a start on his shirt.

“I earned another star from uncle Rainer when he was teaching me earlier” he said excitedly.

I smiled.

“Good job, buddy” I said and gave him a k**s on the top of his head.

Luke smiled widely.

“Thank you, mommy” he said and hugged me.

Luke started his lessons a few days after his 3rd birthday.

Rainer and I are the one teaching him.

Sometimes, Luan, uncle Dante, Pa, grandpa, Axel, Connor, and even Rolan teach Luke as well.

For now, we’re teaching him the basics of combat and self defense.

I started to learn it at the same age.

I figured it’d also be the perfect time to do this considering what happened a few months ago.

Luke is bound to learn combat at some point anyway.

It’s better that he learns now.

Luckily, he really enjoys his trainings.

In fact, he doesn’t like missing a day of training.

He usually trains in the morning and the takes a rest and trains again in the afternoon.

Luke doesn’t seem like he even gets tired.

That’s how much he likes it.

“Let’s get you washed up, okay?” I said.

Luke nodded obediently.

I undressed him and set aside his star sticker in his little star board.

“Mommy, has daddy come back yet?” Luke asked me.

I shook my head.

“Not yet, buddy. I’m sure that he’ll be back soon” I assured him.

Luan left in the morning after Luke left for training.

He said he needed to go to the city to settle some matters.

I didn’t ask him what exactly because I didn’t want to seem like a nosy person.

I cleaned up Luke and helped him change into some fresh clothes.

After that, we were called for dinner.

Luan still hasn’t come back.

I connected to our link.

“Hey. Are you on your way home? It’s dinner time” I mind linked him.

It took him a while to reply.

“Hey. I think I won’t be able to come home for dinner. Go on ahead and eat without me. I’ll be home later than I thought” he replied.

“Okay. Take care and don’t forget to eat” I replied back hiding my obvious disappointment that he won’t be coming home soon.

“I will” he simply replied and we cut the link.

I sighed in disappointment.

He must be really busy.

“Are you okay, mommy?” Luke asked.

I gave him a small smile and nodded.

“I am, buddy. Let’s eat up” I said as enthusiastically as I can.

I couldn’t eat much.

I wss too busy thinking what Luan was up to.

I could ask him but I really didn’t want to pry in his personal matters.

I wasn’t his wife or mate or anything.

It’s really not my place.

Luke and I finished up eating and we went up together.

We went to his room and played for a while.

Luke sleep in his own room from time to time.

He has guards in his room so it doesn’t bother me too much that something bad will happen.

But still, I wake up at the middle of the night every now and then to check up on him.

It’s just because I’m paranoid.

Can you blame me though?

He was almost taken away from me.

Also, Kaley is fine.

She and uncle Dante are actually getting along quite well these days.

It seems like they’re starting to accept each other bit by bit.

Still, my uncle sucks at being a romantic person.

I could only laugh.

Luan, Abe and Beau help him from time to time and it’s the funniest thing.

Abe and Beau found their mates as well.

In fact, I heard that Abe is expecting a pup soon.

Good for him.

“Mommy” Luke called me.

“Yes, bud?” I replied.

“Can’t I have a baby sister?” he suddenly asked.

I coughed.

Can he read my kind or something?

Luke stared at me innocently.

“Buddy, it’s not that simple” I told him.

“Why?” he asked curiously.

“Well, mommy and daddy both need to agree to it first. And then there’s a lot of other things that we need to consider and do before that happens” I explained as calmly as possible.

“Daddy said he wants me to have a baby brother or baby sister too. How about you, mommy? Do you want me to have a sibling too?” he asked.

I flushed red.

Why does this topic make me feel so uneasy?

It’s not like it’s my first.

But what makes it awkward is the fact that I’m having this conversation with my son.

“Baby, I think mommy feels sleepy now” I said.

Luke didn’t complain and just nodded.

We went to my room to sleep together.

Luke and I slept side by side.

“Goodnight, mommy” Luke said.

“Goodnight, baby” I said and gave him a k**s on the forehead.

Then, we drifted off to sleep.

In thr middle of the night, I sensed someone come in the room.

I would’ve opened my eyes to see who it was but I immediately smelled Luan’s scent.

I just pretended that I’m still asleep.

I felt him go to Luke’s side and kissed him.

Then, he went to my side.

Luan planted a k**s on the top of my head.

“Sleep well, my Queen. I love you” he whispered and planted another k**s on my head.

I almost smiled.

Then, I heard him get out.

I just smiled and continued to sleep.

After a few more hours, I woke up with the ray pf sunlight hitting my face.

I fluttered my eyes open and shifted to my side.

Luke was already gone.

I sat up on the bed and looked around.

Then, I realized that my bed was covered of roses.

And so was the floor.

Then, there was a note by the night stand.

‘Luke is fine’

It said on the note.

My brows furrowed a little.

I got out of the bed and headed to the bathroom.

I showered and wore my robe.

I went inside my closet and I immediately saw a dress hanged in an obvious spot with a note on it.

‘Wear this’

That’s what’s written on the note.

I raised my brow curiously.

What is this?

I pursed my lips and contemplated on it.

I just sighed and went with it.

I slipped on the dress.

It was a white sweetheart neck puff sleeve tie back ruffle dress.

It also came with a pair of white chunky mules.

Since I was already forced to wear a dress for an unknown reason, I also put on some minimal makeup and styled my hair neatly.

After that, I got out of the room.

There was a path of roses.

Seriously, what is this?

For whatever reason, I followed the path pf roses through the hallway and downstairs.

I reached the door of the ballroom.

I stood there for a moment.

My heart was thumping loudly inside of my chest.

I didn’t know what was happening but I felt like I had butterflies inside of my stomach.

I gulped as I opened the door to the ballroom.

Then, I saw him.

Luan.

He stood there with a bouquet of flowers in his hand and a bright smile on his face.

My heart stopped beating.

Luan made his way towards me.

Then, he offered his hand to me.

“May I?” he said.

I gulped and nodded.

He smiled and led me to the middle of the room.

I couldn’t even look around.

My eyes were just on him.

“Liviana” he said my name.

My heart was already out pf control.

“I should’ve done this a long time ago but I knew that you needed more time” he started.

“I know a lot of things have changed over the years. But my love for you never will” he said.

I smiled as I started to tear up.

“I want to spend the rest of my life with you, Liviana. I want to spend an eternity with you if possible. If only you’ll give me that chance” he said holding my face.

I smiled as I held his hand on my face.

Then, he stepped back and kneeled before me before taking out something from his pocket.

I gasped a little as I covered my mouth with my hands.

The happy tears started to stream down my face.

“Will you marry me?” Luan asked as he teared up.

I smiled.

“It took you long enough” I kid.

Luan chuckled.

“Yes” I said and hugged Luan.

Luan hugged me back tightly and we kissed.

Then, suddenly there was a loud applause.

I looked around and saw all my loved ones watching.

I blushed.

I’m engaged.
