Livianaâs POV
âHow? When?â Luan said as he looked at me.
I wiped my tears as I composed myself.
âI didnât know I was pregnant when your father took me and almost killed meâ I started.
I saw Luanâs eyes darken at the mention of his father almost killing me.
âRainer found me that day and saved me by bringing me back to Halo. They initially thought that I was my mother. I was already pregnant thenâ I continued.
âI was treated in Halo. Actually, the doctors there suggested that I needed to let go of our son because I was in a critical condition. But the moon goddess didnât let anything harm the both of usâ I said.
Luan was just listening to me.
âI was stuck in a coma for more than a year. They performed a cesarean so they can get our son out of me safely. Then, many months later, about a month before our sonâs birthday, I woke up and found out about himâ I explained as tears continued to stream down my face.
âI gave birth to a precious little boy without my knowledge but he was the whole reason why I was able to stay alive after everythingâ I said sobbing.
âWhy didnât you come back after you woke up?â Luan asked in a pained voice.
âI couldnât come back knowing that thereâs a risk of getting our son in danger, Luan. I couldnât take that risk so I needed to make sure that Iâd be strong enough to face anything and everything when I came backâ I told him.
âI wanted to come back as soon as I could, Luan. I really did. But I knew I couldnât come back without anything, okay? I knew that your father would still be onto meâ I said.
âIâm sorryâ Luan said.
âIâm sorry that all of this had to happen because of his selfishness. Iâm sorry, Livianaâ he said.
I walked up to Luan and hugged him.
I felt him tense up a bit.
âItâs not your fault, Luan. Youâre not your fatherâ I said.
Luan relaxed as I felt his arm wrapped around me as well.
âIâm sorryâ he muttered as he buried his face on my neck.
I caressed Luanâs back soothingly.
His familiar warmth made my heart flutter.
âAnd Iâm sorry for taking so long to come backâ I said.
Luan lifted his head up and cupped my face.
âIt doesnât matter now because youâre finally here. Youâre back. And you brought our son with youâ he said lovingly.
I smiled.
âI missed you every day, Liviana. Every. Single. Dayâ he said as he brushed his thumb on my cheek.
âI did too. I thought of you every day, Luanâ I told him.
Luan smiled.
Then, he placed his forehead on mine.
âI was so depressed to find out everything my father did to you and I didnât know how Iâd be able to show my face to you ever again. I thought you hated meâ he said as tears started falling from his eyes again.
I wiped them.
âHow could I ever hate you, Luan?â I said.
Luan bit his lower l*p.
âI thought youâve moved on. I watched how you were with that man from earlier. The way he held you and the way he calmed you down. I thought you were over meâ he said.
I slightly chuckled.
âRainer?â I said.
Luan slightly frowned.
I cupped Luanâs face as I brushed my thumb on his cheek.
âRainer is a friend. A really good one. In fact, he saved my life. Luke and Iâs life actually. If it werenât for him, I wouldnât be here. Luke wouldnât be here. He knows about you. He knows about us. And he respects what we haveâ I told him.
Luan sighed.
âI was planning on hating him, Liviana. Now, it seems like youâre not giving me a chance toâ he said in disappointment.
I chuckled.
âRainer is a good guy, Luanâ I assured him.
âIs he another one of your suitors?â he suddenly asked.
I pursed my lips.
âI knew itâ Luan said with a frown.
I laughed awkwardly.
Luan wrapped his arms around my waist and pulled me even closer.
âYou suddenly disappear and then appear again with yet another man trying to take you away from meâ he said in disbelief.
I playfully rolled my eyes.
âHeâs not trying to take me away from you, Luan. Rainer isnât like thatâ I told him.
Luan pouted at me.
âYou say that nowâ he said.
I chuckled.
Luan buried his face on my neck again.
âGhad. I missed you so muchâ Luan blurted out.
âI missed you tooâ I said.
Then, he looked at me again and held my face.
âIâve waited so long for this momentâ he said and leaned in.
Luan and Iâs lips met.
We kissed.
It was full of longing, affection and love.
It sent tingles in my body all over again.
Just like it did in the past.
Luan lifted me up on the table as we deepened the k**s.
Ghad.
I missed this.
Then, suddenly, the door burst open and Luan and I separated.
âWoah! Sorry about thatâ Beau said and covered his eyes.
I flushed red as I got off the table in embarrassment.
Luan glared at Beau.
âSorry, dude. Itâs just that uhm the little version of you is crying looking for Liviâ Beau said with a shrug.
I nodded and immediately left the room.
My face was burning in embarrassment as I rushed to where Luke was.
I got inside a room and saw Luke crying while Rainer tried to cooe him.
âBabyâ I called out softly.
Luke turned to look at me and his face immediately brightened up.
âMommy!â he said and reached out to me.
Rainer gave me Luke.
âHe started crying and refused to stop until he sees youâ Rainer explained.
I nodded as I hugged Luke.
âWhatâs wrong, buddy? What happened? Why are you crying?â I asked him as I caressed his back.
Luke looked at me.
Luan also came inside the room.
âI-I was w-worried about you m-mommyâ Luke cried.
I sighed as I cupped Lukeâs face.
âWhy would you be worried about mommy, buddy?â I asked him curiously.
âY-you didnât l-look too good earlier, m-mommyâ he explained.
I smiled as I caressed his face.
âMommy is fine, babyâ I assured him.
Luke shook his head and pointed at my face.
âM-mommy criedâ he pointed out.
I pursed my lips and glanced at Luan then at Rainer.
Luan was just watching Luke and I while Rainer had a raised brow as he looked at me.
âWe talked and got emotional. Nothing badâ I mind linked Rainer immediately.
He sighed in relief.
âW-why did you cry, m-mommy? Whatâs w-wrong?â Luke asked innocently.
I gulped as I sat down with Luke on my lap facing me.
I glanced at Rainer and then at Luan.
Rainer got the message and gave me small nod.
Rainer made his way out but made sure to give Luan a look as he passed by.
Rainer closed the door and Luan, Luke and I were left in the room.
Luke glanced at Luan and he looked at him curiously.
Luan froze on his spot as he met eyes with our son.
âBaby, I need to tell you somethingâ I said gathering all my remaining strength.
Luke turned his attention to me.
âWhat is it, mommy?â Luke asked curiously.
I glanced at Luan who still refused to move in his spot.
âDo you remember when you asked me who your daddy is?â I said.
Luke nodded.
âYou said you wanted to meet him, right?â I asked.
Luke nodded again.
âWhat if I tell you that you can finally meet your daddy, baby?â I said.
Lukeâs eyes sparkled.
âCan I, mommy?â Luke asked hopeful.
I nodded.
I looked at Luan and motioned for him to sit down beside me.
Luan cautiously made his way towards us.
Luke looked at Luan curiously.
âWho is he, mommy?â Luke asked.
I gave Luke a small smile.
âLukeâ I said and then looked at Luan.
âMeet your daddyâ I said.
Luke tilted his head to the side curiously as he looked at Luan.
âDaddy?â Luke said.
Luan gulped as he smiled at Luke.
âHi, buddyâ Luan said as his eyes watered.
âAre you my daddy?â Luke asked Luan.
Luan nodded carefully.
âI am. Iâm your daddyâ Luan aaid as his voice slightly broke.
Luke smiled brightly.
âMommy, I want daddy to hold meâ Luke said reaching for Luan.
I nodded and glanced at Luan.
Luan smiled as he took Luke and sat him on his lap.
âDaddyâ Luke said hugging Luan.
Tears started to come down Luanâs face as he held our son in his arms.
My own tears started to fall as well as I watched them.
âDaddy, I missed you so muchâ Luke suddenly said.
Luan smiled even wider.
âI missed you even more, buddyâ Luan said and kissed Luke on the forehead.
It was such a warm scene.
I felt ecstatic watching them.
âLuke. His name is Luke, Luanâ I said.
Luan nodded.
âLukeâ he said.
âLuke Greyâ Luan said with a smile.
My heart skipped a beat.
