Liviana’s POV

“How? When?” Luan said as he looked at me.

I wiped my tears as I composed myself.

“I didn’t know I was pregnant when your father took me and almost killed me” I started.

I saw Luan’s eyes darken at the mention of his father almost killing me.

“Rainer found me that day and saved me by bringing me back to Halo. They initially thought that I was my mother. I was already pregnant then” I continued.

“I was treated in Halo. Actually, the doctors there suggested that I needed to let go of our son because I was in a critical condition. But the moon goddess didn’t let anything harm the both of us” I said.

Luan was just listening to me.

“I was stuck in a coma for more than a year. They performed a cesarean so they can get our son out of me safely. Then, many months later, about a month before our son’s birthday, I woke up and found out about him” I explained as tears continued to stream down my face.

“I gave birth to a precious little boy without my knowledge but he was the whole reason why I was able to stay alive after everything” I said sobbing.

“Why didn’t you come back after you woke up?” Luan asked in a pained voice.

“I couldn’t come back knowing that there’s a risk of getting our son in danger, Luan. I couldn’t take that risk so I needed to make sure that I’d be strong enough to face anything and everything when I came back” I told him.

“I wanted to come back as soon as I could, Luan. I really did. But I knew I couldn’t come back without anything, okay? I knew that your father would still be onto me” I said.

“I’m sorry” Luan said.

“I’m sorry that all of this had to happen because of his selfishness. I’m sorry, Liviana” he said.

I walked up to Luan and hugged him.

I felt him tense up a bit.

“It’s not your fault, Luan. You’re not your father” I said.

Luan relaxed as I felt his arm wrapped around me as well.

“I’m sorry” he muttered as he buried his face on my neck.

I caressed Luan’s back soothingly.

His familiar warmth made my heart flutter.

“And I’m sorry for taking so long to come back” I said.

Luan lifted his head up and cupped my face.

“It doesn’t matter now because you’re finally here. You’re back. And you brought our son with you” he said lovingly.

I smiled.

“I missed you every day, Liviana. Every. Single. Day” he said as he brushed his thumb on my cheek.

“I did too. I thought of you every day, Luan” I told him.

Luan smiled.

Then, he placed his forehead on mine.

“I was so depressed to find out everything my father did to you and I didn’t know how I’d be able to show my face to you ever again. I thought you hated me” he said as tears started falling from his eyes again.

I wiped them.

“How could I ever hate you, Luan?” I said.

Luan bit his lower l*p.

“I thought you’ve moved on. I watched how you were with that man from earlier. The way he held you and the way he calmed you down. I thought you were over me” he said.

I slightly chuckled.

“Rainer?” I said.

Luan slightly frowned.

I cupped Luan’s face as I brushed my thumb on his cheek.

“Rainer is a friend. A really good one. In fact, he saved my life. Luke and I’s life actually. If it weren’t for him, I wouldn’t be here. Luke wouldn’t be here. He knows about you. He knows about us. And he respects what we have” I told him.

Luan sighed.

“I was planning on hating him, Liviana. Now, it seems like you’re not giving me a chance to” he said in disappointment.

I chuckled.

“Rainer is a good guy, Luan” I assured him.

“Is he another one of your suitors?” he suddenly asked.

I pursed my lips.

“I knew it” Luan said with a frown.

I laughed awkwardly.

Luan wrapped his arms around my waist and pulled me even closer.

“You suddenly disappear and then appear again with yet another man trying to take you away from me” he said in disbelief.

I playfully rolled my eyes.

“He’s not trying to take me away from you, Luan. Rainer isn’t like that” I told him.

Luan pouted at me.

“You say that now” he said.

I chuckled.

Luan buried his face on my neck again.

“Ghad. I missed you so much” Luan blurted out.

“I missed you too” I said.

Then, he looked at me again and held my face.

“I’ve waited so long for this moment” he said and leaned in.

Luan and I’s lips met.

We kissed.

It was full of longing, affection and love.

It sent tingles in my body all over again.

Just like it did in the past.

Luan lifted me up on the table as we deepened the k**s.

Ghad.

I missed this.

Then, suddenly, the door burst open and Luan and I separated.

“Woah! Sorry about that” Beau said and covered his eyes.

I flushed red as I got off the table in embarrassment.

Luan glared at Beau.

“Sorry, dude. It’s just that uhm the little version of you is crying looking for Livi” Beau said with a shrug.

I nodded and immediately left the room.

My face was burning in embarrassment as I rushed to where Luke was.

I got inside a room and saw Luke crying while Rainer tried to cooe him.

“Baby” I called out softly.

Luke turned to look at me and his face immediately brightened up.

“Mommy!” he said and reached out to me.

Rainer gave me Luke.

“He started crying and refused to stop until he sees you” Rainer explained.

I nodded as I hugged Luke.

“What’s wrong, buddy? What happened? Why are you crying?” I asked him as I caressed his back.

Luke looked at me.

Luan also came inside the room.

“I-I was w-worried about you m-mommy” Luke cried.

I sighed as I cupped Luke’s face.

“Why would you be worried about mommy, buddy?” I asked him curiously.

“Y-you didn’t l-look too good earlier, m-mommy” he explained.

I smiled as I caressed his face.

“Mommy is fine, baby” I assured him.

Luke shook his head and pointed at my face.

“M-mommy cried” he pointed out.

I pursed my lips and glanced at Luan then at Rainer.

Luan was just watching Luke and I while Rainer had a raised brow as he looked at me.

“We talked and got emotional. Nothing bad” I mind linked Rainer immediately.

He sighed in relief.

“W-why did you cry, m-mommy? What’s w-wrong?” Luke asked innocently.

I gulped as I sat down with Luke on my lap facing me.

I glanced at Rainer and then at Luan.

Rainer got the message and gave me small nod.

Rainer made his way out but made sure to give Luan a look as he passed by.

Rainer closed the door and Luan, Luke and I were left in the room.

Luke glanced at Luan and he looked at him curiously.

Luan froze on his spot as he met eyes with our son.

“Baby, I need to tell you something” I said gathering all my remaining strength.

Luke turned his attention to me.

“What is it, mommy?” Luke asked curiously.

I glanced at Luan who still refused to move in his spot.

“Do you remember when you asked me who your daddy is?” I said.

Luke nodded.

“You said you wanted to meet him, right?” I asked.

Luke nodded again.

“What if I tell you that you can finally meet your daddy, baby?” I said.

Luke’s eyes sparkled.

“Can I, mommy?” Luke asked hopeful.

I nodded.

I looked at Luan and motioned for him to sit down beside me.

Luan cautiously made his way towards us.

Luke looked at Luan curiously.

“Who is he, mommy?” Luke asked.

I gave Luke a small smile.

“Luke” I said and then looked at Luan.

“Meet your daddy” I said.

Luke tilted his head to the side curiously as he looked at Luan.

“Daddy?” Luke said.

Luan gulped as he smiled at Luke.

“Hi, buddy” Luan said as his eyes watered.

“Are you my daddy?” Luke asked Luan.

Luan nodded carefully.

“I am. I’m your daddy” Luan aaid as his voice slightly broke.

Luke smiled brightly.

“Mommy, I want daddy to hold me” Luke said reaching for Luan.

I nodded and glanced at Luan.

Luan smiled as he took Luke and sat him on his lap.

“Daddy” Luke said hugging Luan.

Tears started to come down Luan’s face as he held our son in his arms.

My own tears started to fall as well as I watched them.

“Daddy, I missed you so much” Luke suddenly said.

Luan smiled even wider.

“I missed you even more, buddy” Luan said and kissed Luke on the forehead.

It was such a warm scene.

I felt ecstatic watching them.

“Luke. His name is Luke, Luan” I said.

Luan nodded.

“Luke” he said.

“Luke Grey” Luan said with a smile.

My heart skipped a beat.
