Liviana’s POV

I fidgeted with my hands as I walked back and forth anxiously in front of the pack house.

“You’re driving me mad, Livi. Stay still for a moment, will you?” El scolded me.

I frowned at him.

“What’s making you so nervous, anyway?” El said.

“My son is coming” I said.

“We know. That’s why were all here, aren’t we? What’s so nerve wracking about that? I thought you missed him” he said.

“I do miss him. I’m just nervous how he’ll react because I changed my look” I said.

“You look the same to me” he said looking me up and down.

I sighed.

“When I left Halo, I had silver hair. I dyed my hair black before I got here” I said.

El raised a brow at me.

“You used to have silver hair? Why? Was that some kind of phase? An identity crisis after you resurrected?” El teased.

I squinted my eyes at El and pinched him hard.

“Ah! Ouch! Stop! That hurts!” he shouted in pain.

I laughed.

“You deserve that pain” I said and let him go.

El frowned at me.

Then, he suddenly stopped.

“They’re here” he said.

I gulped and looked at the direction they’ll be coming from.

As soon as I saw the familiar car, I almost jumped in joy.

My son is here.

I’ll finally be able to see Luke again.

It hasn’t even been a week but I just couldn’t help but miss him so much.

We haven’t been separated for such a long period of time.

The car stopped by the pack house and Rainer got off from the driver’s side.

Then, uncle Dante came out from the other side of the car and opened the door to the passenger seat.

Kaley came out first from the passenger side.

Then, Rainer reached inside of the car and I finally saw Luke as Rainer carried him in his arms.

Luke turned to look at my direction and our eyes met.

I saw his eyes sparkle as a smile formed on his face.

“Mommy!” he squealed excitedly.

I sighed in relied.

Rainer put Luke down and he came running towards me.

I caught Luke in my arms and hugged him tightly.

“Oh ghad. I miss you so much, baby” I said hugging Luke in my arms.

“I missed you too, mommy” he said with a pout as he teared up.

I held Luke’s face lovingly.

“Mommy, I cried every morning and every night because I couldn’t see you. Nana, Auntie Kaley, and uncle Connor told me that you and uncle Rainer will be back as soon as you can but it still made me sad” Luke said as he pouted.

“I’m sorry, baby. Did mommy take too long?” I cooed.

My son nodded.

I smiled at him and gave him a k**s.

“I’m sorry, buddy. I promise I’m never leaving again, okay?” I said.

Luke smiled and nodded as he hugged me again.

Rainer came to our side.

“Happy?” Rainer said.

I nodded.

“Very” I told him.

Rainer smiled.

“Luke” I called my son softly.

Luke looked at me.

“Baby, I need to introduce you to some really nice people, okay? They’re mommy’s family. Our family” I said.

Luke nodded and glanced behind me.

We turned to look at everyone and Luke looked at the shyly.

Everyone looked at my son in awe.

“Pa” I called.

Pa stepped closer with Madeline and Lizi.

“Luke, this is grandpa Dimitri, grandma Madeline and Lizi” I carefully introduced them.

Luke looked at the and shyly smiled.

“Grandpa Dimdim, grandma Madi and Lizi” Luke said.

I chuckled and nodded.

“Exactly, buddy” I said.

Luke giggled.

“Hi there, bud” Pa greeted Luke.

Luke smiled at him.

“Do you want grandpa Dimdim to carry you?” Pa asked.

Luke glanced at me for permission and I nodded at him.

Luke nodded at Pa and reached out his hands for him to be held.

Pa held Luke in his arms and I watched as Pa stared at Luke as his eyes watered.

“Wow, Livi” he said and glanced at me as a tear fell from his eye.

I smiled at Pa.

“Why are you crying, grandpa?” Luke asked innocently.

Pa looked at Luke again.

“Nothing, bud. Grandpa is just happy to finally meet you, that’s all” he told Luke.

Luke smiled.

“I’m happy to meet you too, grandpa. Mommy has told me many stories about you” Luke said cheerfully.

Pa smiled.

“Did she?” he said.

Luke nodded.

After that, we all went inside together.

I came out of the kitchen with a glass of water in my hand.

Then, I watched in the corner as everyone huddled over Luke.

“He’s a spitting image of we know who” El said when he came to my side.

I nudged.

“Don’t mention anything about Luan to Luke. I don’t want my son to be too overwhelmed for the day. He’s in a new environment and I don’t want to add up to the changes that are happening in his life” I said.

El shrugged and looked at Rainer’s direction.

Rainer was watching Luke thoroughly.

“You mentioned that he was your bodyguard as well?” El said.

I nodded.

“I’m also guessing he’s quite close to Luke?” he said.

I nodded again.

“Aside from me, Rainer is the one who Luke spends a lot of time with” I said.

El nodded.

“And he didn’t mistake him as his father?” he suddenly asked.

I almost chocked on my water.

El chuckled.

“I’m guessing Luke did” he said.

I gave El a look that said ‘stay out of it’.

El just shrugged.

“And what’s the deal with Dante and that Kaley girl?” El asked curiously.

“They’re mates” I said.

El looked at me wide eyed.

“They’re mates?! Dante has a mate? How is that possible?” he said.

I shrugged.

“Ask the moon goddess. Not me” I said.

El scoffed.

“Unbelievable. So where’s mine?” he said im disbelief.

I chuckled.

Then, El suddenly paused and I saw Pa and Edmond suddenly stand up.

They glanced at my direction with an unreadable expression.

My brows furrowed at them.

“What?” I asked.

El looked at me and gulped.

“I think Luan is here” he said.

My eyes widened.

I glanced at Rainer’s direction.

“He’s here. Luan is here” I mind linked Rainer.

Rainer and I rushed Luke and I held him.

Then, the door suddenly burst open.

We all turned to look at the direction of the door.

There stood Luan.

Abe, Beau and Cassandra stood behind him.

Our eyes met and then his gaze shifted to Luke.

I gulped.

I saw how his eyes widened as he stared at Luke in my arms.

“Luan…” I muttered.

Luam looked at me.

“Mommy?” Luke said looking at me curiously.

I looked at my son nervously.

Then, I glanced at Rainer.

“I’m taking him inside the room. I think it’s time for both of you to talk properly” Rainer mind linked me as he took Luke in my arms.

“You’ll be fine, right?” he asked.

I nodded.

Rainer glanced at Luan before taking Luke away.

“Luan” Pa came to Luan’s side.

Luan kept his eyes on me.

I bit my lower l*p.

Pa glanced back at me with a sigh.

“You two, come with me” Pa said and dragged Luan to the direction of the meeting room.

I followed behind.

Before I left, I saw El frozen in place as he looked at the direction of the Haymes siblings.

We arrived in the meeting room and Pa made Luan and I both go in together.

“You two need to talk properly” he said.

Pa glanced at me and gave me an assuring smiled before leaving the room and closing the door.

I turned to look at Luan.

He was just staring at me without saying a word.

Luan looked tired.

Now that I’m looking at him this closely, I can see how much he’s changed over the years.

“You came” I blurted out.

Not a very smart conversation opener but okay.

“I did” he said.

I gulped.

He had that expression in his face that was clearly asking for answers.

“Go ahead and ask anything” I told him.

Luan bit his lower l*p.

“I had a lot of questions when I was on my way here. But right now at this moment, I think I only have a few” he said.

My heart was thumping loudly inside of my chest.

I felt nervous and anxious.

“That child….he…he’s yours?” he said.

I gulped as I nodded.

I saw Luan’s fists clench.

“Who’s the father?” he asked.

I took a deep breath as I struggled to say it.

Suddenly, it felt like the hardest thing to do.

I didn’t know how Luan was feeling at the moment about me so I didn’t know how he’d feel about Luke either.

“Liviana” he said waiting for my answer.

I bot my lower l*p.

“You. It’s you, Luan. You’re my son’s father” I finally said.

I saw how Luan’s tears started to stream down his face and he held on to the table for support as he fell on his knees.

I covered my mouth to stifle my sobs as my own tears escaped my eyes.

I watched while Luan cried.

“I have a son” Luan said as he cried.

“I have a son” he said again and looked at me.

“We have a son” he said.

I nodded.

Luke is Luan and I’s son.

Our son.
