Liviana’s POV

I watched as Luke ran giggling and Luan came after him.

I smiled.

Luan caught Luke and lifted him up on his shoulders.

Luan turned to look at me.

Then, he smiled and walked towards me with our son on his shout.

“Hey, baby” he said and gave me peck on the lips.

I smiled.

“I love you” he said sweetly.

I held his face as a tear escaped my eye.

“I love you” I told him.

Then, I woke up.

I felt something wet on my face so I wiped it.

It was my tear.

I sighed as I carefully sat up so I wouldn’t wake Luke up.

I leaned my back on the headboard as I closed my eyes.

I miss him so much that it’s driving me crazy.

But then again, am I really ready to meet him again?

I want to tell him everything.

I am going to tell him everything.

But what will be the cost?

I wouldn’t know.

Has Luan changed?

How will he react when he sees me?

Will we be able to go back to the way we were before I suddenly disappeared?

I sighed.

Just a little while longer and I’ll know the answer.

But how ready am I to find out?

“Mommy?”

I opened my eyes and saw Luke as he woke up.

I smiled.

“Good morning, baby” I greeted Luke and lifted him up to sit on lap.

“Good morning, mommy” he said with a yawn.

Then, Luke placed his head on my chest.

We stayed like for a few minutes.

“Mommy?” Luke said and lifted his head up to look at me.

“Yes, buddy?” I said said as I held his face and brushed his cheek with my thumb.

“Do I have a daddy?” he suddenly asked.

I froze.

For almost 3 years of Luke’s life, he has never asked me that question before.

“You have a daddy, right mommy? Uncle Rainer has one too. Do I have one too?” he asked innocently.

Maybe it was because dad has been around for the past few months.

Luke hears and sees me with my father so it only makes sense that he’ll be curious about his own dad.

I’m not keeping anything about his father from him but I didn’t think that he’d ask now.

I softly caressed Luke’s hair.

“Of course you have your own daddy too, baby” I told him.

Luke smiled widely.

“Really, mommy?” he said excitedly.

I nodded.

“Yes, buddy” I said smiling at him.

“Then who’s my daddy, mommy? Grandpa Kale told me that daddies are the ones who always stay by our side and protect us and take care of us” Luke said.

Then, he slightly tilted hia head to the side.

“Is uncle Rainer my daddy?” he asked.

I coughed in shock at my son’s question.

I immediately shook my head.

“No, buddy. Uncle Rainer is not your daddy” I told him.

That caught me off guard.

“But uncle Rainer is the one who is always by our side and protects us and takes care of us. Uncle Rainer even plays with me and gives me the things I want” he said innocently.

I took a deep breath before thinking of how I should explain the concept of a ‘dad’ to Luke.

“Buddy” I started as I held Luke’s face and brushed his cheek with my dad.

“A daddy is someone who loves you and mommy dearly even when they’re away. Yes, a daddy is also someone who stays by our side and protects us and takes care of us like grandpa Kale said. But someone who does those things isn’t necessarily your daddy just because they do that” I explained to him.

Luke was curiously listening to every word that I was saying.

“Uncle Rainer isn’t your daddy but he still stays with us, protects us and takes care of us because uncle Rainer is a really really good friend of mommy and is a very good uncle to you. He’s family to us” I told him.

“Also, your daddy is the one who…uhm” I said pausing as I gulped.

“Your daddy is the one who helped mommy to…create you” I said as my cheeks heat up.

Luke tilted his head at me curiously.

“How did daddy help you create me, mommy” he asked.

I flushed red as I coughed.

I knew that a day will come that Luke will come to an age where he’ll be curious about anything and everything.

But I don’t think that I’m quite ready yet.

“It’s complicated, buddy but uhm…you’ll learn it when you grow up, okay?” I said as my cheeks burned in embarrassment.

Luke nodded in understanding.

“Then where’s my daddy, mommy” he asked.

My heart clenched.

“Right now, your daddy is in a very far away place. He’s working on some very important things at the moment” I told him.

“When can I see my daddy, mommy?” he asked further.

I smiled as I cupped Luke’s face.

“Soon, buddy. Soon” I told him.

“Do you think daddy will love me, mommy?” he suddenly asked.

“Of course, baby. I’m sure that daddy will love you very much” I told him.

Luke smiled and hugged me.

“I can’t wait to meet my daddy, mommy” he said.

I smiled.

“Believe me, I can’t wait to meet daddy again either, buddy” I told him as I lightly pinched his cheeks.

Luke giggled.

Then, there was a knock on the door and dad peaked inside and came in.

“Grandpa!” Luke excitedly called.

“Good morning, pal” dad greeted Luke as he scooped him up in my lap and carried him in his harms.

“Good morning, sweetheart” dad greeted me and planted a k**s on the top of my head.

“Good morning, dad” I greeted him with a smile.

“Breakfast is already ready and we’re just waiting for the both of you” he said.

I nodded and got out of the bed.

“Luke and I will wash up and go down immediately” I told him.

Dad nodded and gave me Luke.

“We’ll wait for the both of you” he said and got out of the room.

Luke and I went to the bathroom together and washed up for breakfast.

After that, we made our way to the dining hall.

“Mommy, when is uncle Rainer coming back?” Luke suddenly asked.

Rainer is still in Lunar doing the final plotting with his men.

We needed to be sure that everything was in place before we proceeded with our whole plan.

He’s meant to come back today.

“I think uncle Rainer will come back today, buddy” I told him.

Luke smiled and nodded.

We walked hand in hand to the dining hall.

When we arrived there, dad, uncle Dante, granpa and grandma were already there.

I immediately noticed the tensed atmosphere between uncle Dante and Kaley.

They’ve been like that since dad and uncle Dante arrived in the palace.

Why?

Well, it’s because they’re mates.

Yes, mates.

My uncle actually has a mate and it just turned out to be Kaley.

They haven’t completed the mating process or even started at that.

They were both still confused, I think.

My uncle didn’t think he’d have a mate.

And Kaley?

Kaley didn’t expect that his mate would be a hunter.

It was a complicated situation.

“Good morning!” Luke greeted everyone cheerfully and gave everyone k****s.

“Good morning” I greeted everyone as well and also gave each and every one a k**s on the cheek.

“Morning, uncle” I said as I gave uncle Dante a k**s on the cheek.

“Good morning, princess” he said and kissed my forehead.

“Still no progress?” I mind linked my uncle.

“I don’t want to talk about it” he replied.

I chuckled.

I finished giving dad and my grandparents a k**s and headed beside Kaley.

“Morning, Ky” I greeted her and hugged her.

“Good morning, Livi” she greeted me with smile.

“Awkward huh?” I whispered to tease her.

Kaley blushed.

I chuckled.

We ate breakfast together.

Dad and uncle Dante were welcomed warmly on Halo.

My grandparents met my dad, their daughter’s mate.

They got to know each other.

My grandparents didn’t blame my father.

In fact, they despised King Luis together.

Specially after finding out what he tried to do to me.

They almost went to Lunar immediately to attack him and it took a few groups of warriors to stop my dad, my grandfather, my uncle and even grandma to attack King Luis immediately.

It was flattering but I wouldn’t risk getting my family into deep trouble like that.

After breakfast, I gave Luke a bath and then I took a bath myself.

Then, I packed up a small bag for Luke for the day.

Once we were all set, we came out and made our way to the training grounds together.

Luke refused to be left in the castle so I let him be as long as I am able to keep an eye on him.

Also, dad and uncle Dante were always around to look after him when I trained so it wasn’t much of a problem.

After stretching, we immediately started.

A group of 10 men immediately surrounded me.

It’s true that they’ve improved a lot but so have I.

I was able to beat them easily.

Then, 20 men replaced them.

I smirked as my eyes glowed gold.

They made their move but I easily lifted myself up in the air and made 5 of them fly out of circle.

“You’re highness, that’s not fair! You need to give us a heads up!” Axel complained.

I landed on the ground and laughed.

“Your opponents aren’t meant to give you a heads up” I said and playfully blew on Axel’s direction causing a strong wind come his way.

Everyone laughed when Axel staggered back.

Axel pouted at me and I laughed.

We practiced more and stopped to take a break after a few hours.

Luke was playing with dad so I just sat by a tree as I watched everyone.

It still feels surreal.

It was like yesterday that I was Alpha in Crescent Moon.

Alpha Liviana.

But now…

Now, I’m Queen of Halo.
