Liviana’s POV

I stared at the moon as my heart clenched inside my chest.

How cruel can this life be for Luan?

First, I had brushed him off as my mate when we first met.

Then, when I could finally give him the love that he deserves, his evil ‘father’ kidnaps me and tries to kill me.

His own mate is separated from him without any explanation whatsoever.

Now, I find out that his own father was also the reason why he lose his beooved mother.

Why?

Why does it have to happen to Luan?

I always thought that my life was cruel.

But atleast I had people who actually love and care for me.

People who accept me fully.

I had a support system.

Luan didn’t have that.

I was going to be that for himand more.

But I was taken away from him.

How sad is that?

Luan didn’t even do anything to deserve all of this.

He was just born with a monster for a father.

That’s not even his fault.

But why does he have to suffer like this?

Why does he have to hurt this way?

All he ever wanted was love.

All he ever wanted was someone to love him fully.

All he ever wanted was a family.

I closed my eyes tightly.

I focused on my breathing as I searched for something deep within me.

Then, darkness started to become a visual.

I saw him.

I saw Luan.

He was sitting on his swivel chair with a ton of paper work on his table.

He had a frown on his face as he went through the papers.

Then, he sighed.

Sadness was evident in his expression.

My heart ached for him.

I made my way to him.

I infront of him as I watched him work.

Right now, this is the closest I can get to him.

But it won’t be long till we meet again.

Till we see each other again face to face.

Till we hold each other again.

Till I can give Luan the love that he deserves.

Till I can give him the family he’s always wanted.

Just a little longer until we can all finally be together.

We just need a little more patience.

Everything will fall into plan.

I reached out to hold Luan’s face.

A tear escaped my eye.

“I’m sorry you had to go through all of this” I said.

He didn’t deserve any of this.

“Just wait a little longer, my love. I’ll be coming home to you soon” I said and placed my hand on his cheek as another tear escaped my eye.

And it was as if Luan actually felt me when he raised his head and his eyes met with mine.

But he was looking through me and not at me.

I had only figured out how to do this not too long ago.

I’ve done it a couple of times to see how the Crescent Moon pack is doing.

How my family are doing.

How my friends are doing.

Amd of course, how Luan is doing.

“Your majesty”

Then there was darkness again.

I wiped my tears away.

Then, I turned to look at who called me.

It was Axel.

He was panting really hard as he held on to the side of the door.

My brows furrowed.

“What’s wrong?” I asked.

“It’s Rainer” he said.

“He was trying to reach you but couldn’t. He said it was very important. He had me come to you to let you know” he explained.

I nodded as I immediately linked with Rainer.

“Rainer?” I called out in the link.

“Liviana, thank ghad you finally answered”

“I’m sorry. I was in the middle of something” I apologized.

I was in the middle of missing my mate that’s why.

“I need you by the borders as soon as possible. We’ll be entering the borders soon and I need you there to pass through without a problem”

My brows furrowed confused.

Why did he need me to pass through?

Our people knew who he was.

He’s the head warrior.

Everyone knows him.

So why would he have a problem passing through?

“Why? What’s wrong? Can’t you pass? Did something happen?” I asked confused.

“Yes something happened. Please. I need you there as soon as possible”

I sighed.

Fine.

“I’m on my way” I said.

“Thank you”

Then, we cut the link.

I turned to look Axel who was still standing by the door.

“Tell Kaley I went out to see Rainer” I said before running to the balcony and jumping off.

I shifted mid air and landed in all fours.

Then, I started to sprint.

I ran as fast as my legs can take me.

I felt the cool breeze of air on my fur.

I ran even faster.

I didn’t have much time.

Rainer said they’ll be crossing the border soon and I needed to be there.

For what reason?

I don’t know.

But I wouldn’t bother ask Rainer.

He’d only give me confusing answers.

I’d need to find out myself.

So I need to be there as fast as I can.

If there really is something wrong, I need to help them.

I need to help my people.

After a while of running, I finally reached the border.

Rainer and his men waa still nowhere to be found.

I sniffed for the clothes and found them in the bushes.

We always put extra clothes here in case they needed to change when they came back.

I found an oversized button down and I shifted back to my human form.

I wore the button down as I waited for Rainer.

After a few minutes, I finally caught sight of them.

But then my eyes landed on the familiar figures behind him.

2 familiar that I haven’t seen in so long.

My mouth gaped open as they got closer.

I almost stopped breathing.

Their eyes met with mine.

I saw how their eyes widened in shock as they saw me.

“Dad? Uncle Dante?” I said.

They glanced at each other im shock.

I came to them running.

“Dad! Uncle!” I shouted as I ran to them.

They realized who I was and came running as well.

My father and my uncle caught me in their arms as they hugged me tightly.

“Liviana, it’s really you. You’re alive” Dad said as his voice broke.

I looked at them as my tears started to flow out of my eyes uncontrollably.

“You’re here” Uncle Dante said as he caressed my hair.

I nodded.

“I’m alive” I said.

They smiled as they hugged me again.

A hug that was full of love, warmth and longing.

“You came for me” I sobbed as I hugged them tighter.

They’re actually here.

My father and my uncle are here.

After not being able to see them for so long, after missing them all those years, after wishing I could meet them again soon, they’re actually here.

They’re right in front of me.

They’re in my grasp.

“Why didn’t you come back to Lunar? Why didn’t you tell us you were alive?” Dad cried as he cupped my face.

“I couldn’t” I told him.

“The situation wouldn’t allow it. I knew how all of you would react. If I had reached out to any of you to tell you that I’m alive, I’ll be putting you all in danger. I didn’t want that to happen. I don’t want any of you to get hurt because of me” I explained.

“What happened? How did you disappear? Why did you disappear?” Uncle Dante asked me.

I looked away.

If I tell them here, they might go back to Lunar immediately out of rage.

This is not the place or the time to tell them.

I turned to look at Rainer.

He had a small smile on his face.

This man really.

“Excuse me for a moment” I told my dad and uncle after I gave them both a k**s on the cheek.

Then, I made my way to Rainer and I jumped at him.

Rainer caught me in a hug as he laughed.

“Woah there, your majesty. Atleast give me a little heads up, will you?” he said with a chuckle.

I hugged Luan tightly as I buried my face on his neck.

“Why didn’t you tell me sooner?” I asked in a quiet voice.

“We had to make sure first that we’d be able to get them out first without a problem” he explained.

“Also, I wanted to give you a little surprise” he said with a chuckle.

I chuckled as I looked at Rainer.

“I hate you” I joked.

Rainer smiled as he planted a k**s on the top of my head.

“You pronounced love wrong” he pointed out.

I laughed and slightly hit him on the chest.

“Thank you” I told him.

Rainer smiled.

“Anything for you, Liviana” he said and slightly ruffled my hair.

Then, I turned to look at my dad and uncle again.

They had a curious look on their face as they watched Rainer and I.

I made my way back to them and hugged them again.

I missed them so bad.

“I missed you guys so much” I muttered.

They caressed my back then looked at me.

“We missed you too, princess” Dad said and gave me a k**s on the forehead.

“Liviana” uncle Dante said.

“Yes?” I asked.

Uncle Dante looked behind me and I followed his gaze.

He was looking at Rainer.

Even Dad followed his gaze.

“Who is he to you exactly?” uncle Dante asked.

I chuckled.

No wonder they had that look in their face.

“I’ll explain when we get back to the palace” I said and held their hands.

“Let’s go” I said with a smile.

Finally, I was able to reunite with my dadand uncle atleast.

Soon, I’ll be able to see everyone else.
