Livianaâs POV
I stood on the side as I watched the warriors and guards train.
I train with them almost every day.
Rainer and I came up with a new training program for everyone a while back.
We combined the training program I used for my pack warriors and guards in Crescent Moon and the original training program for Halo.
All the men had drastically improved and so have I.
I spar with Rainer almost every single day.
Atleast when heâs not on a mission out.
Rainer was different.
He was more than just a skilled fighter.
He can actually keep up with me.
Thatâs why I feel the most challenged when Iâm sparring with Rainer.
Then, thereâs Axel and Connor.
Iâve become close to them as well.
Theyâre very loyal and I feel comfortable around them.
Every now and then, I spar with them as well.
Sometimes, I spar with Axel, Connor and Rainer all together.
That certainly keeps me on my toes.
Aside from that, Iâve also improved in controlling my powers more.
Specially my healing powers.
I learned to focus on using my energy more than using my own life force to heal someone.
I usually practice in the clinic or hospital with the injured men.
It has helped me a lot to improve.

I turned to look and saw Axel and Connor coming my way.
âHeyâ I greeted them.
âAre you done training?â Axel asked.
I nodded.
âNo, not yet. Iâm just resting for a bit while watching the others trainâ I said.
âWhy? Whatâs up?â I asked.
âNothing really. Do you want to join us for lunch?â Connor asked.
âSure but I still need to wait for Luke thoughâ I said.
âWhat time is it?â I asked.
âQuarter to 12â Axel told me when he looked at his watch.
âLuke will be here a little before 12â I told them.
Since Iâve been spending more time now on the training grounds after my 21st birthday, Luke comes to me during lunch and dinner so we can eat together like we usually do when I do my royal duties.
I donât let him stay for too long when Rainer is not around like today.
I donât want my son getting hurt or getting in trouble.
But he really loves being on the training grounds and watching everyone train.
Heâs especially fond when he watches Rainer and I train together.
âThen weâll wait for him then. No problemâ they said.
I nodded.
Axel and Connor stood on both my sides as we all watched the other men train.
âItâs amazing how much everyone improved in more than just a yearâ Connor commented.
âYeah. Everyoneâs skills drastically improved after Rainer and Liviana came up with the new training programâ Axel said.
âAnd here I thought we were all already skilled fighters. Then, Liviana comes along and beats the sht out of all of usâ Connor said laughing.
Axel and I laughed too.
âI did no such thingâ I denied.
I donât even give all that I have when fighting against them.
I wanted them to improve their combat skills not to die.
âNo wonder you were the first female Alpha in Lunar. You can kick some buttâ Axel said and playfully nudged me.
I chuckled.
âItâs also why sheâs our future Queenâ Connor said.
âExactlyâ Axel agreed.
I playfully rolled my eyes.
âAre you both trying to get on my good side or what?â I said chuckling.
Axel and Connor shrugged.
âWeâre just appreciating how amazing you truly are, your majestyâ Axel teased.
I nudged them both.
âOh pleaseâ I said.
We all laughed.
After a few more minutes of teasing and bickering with each other, Luke finally came.
âMommy!â Luke shouted as he ran to me.
I caught Luke in my arms and I gave him a ton of k****s on his face as he giggled.
âHi, babyâ I greeted him.
âHello, mommyâ Luke greeted back.
I smiled.
âHi, little princeâ Axel and Connor greeted Luke.
Luke waved at them.
âHi, uncle Axel. Hi, uncle Connorâ Luke greeted them.
Theyâre actually pretty close with each other since Luke knows Axel and Connor are friends with both Rainer and I.
âLetâs go eat lunch, buddy. Are you hungry?â I asked as I held Lukeâs hand as we headed to the buffet.
Luke nodded.
âIâm hungry because I wanted to eat with you, mommy. I didnât want to eat my snacks because I told auntie Kaley that I wanted to share my snacks with youâ Luke said cutely.
âAwwww, babyâ I said lightly pinching his cheeks.
My sweet little boy.
âItâs okay to eat your snacks all by yourself, baby. You donât have to share with mommy. Itâs fineâ I told him.
âBut mommy, you always share your food with me so I wanted to share mibe with you tooâ Luke said with a pout.
I smiled.
I feel so blessed having Luke.
Heâs such a caring little one.
âStill, itâs fine, baby. Mommy can just get more snacks so you can eat yours, okay?â I said.
Luke finally nodded.
We reached the buffet and Luke was in front of me.
I gave Luke his own plate and I served him his food.
After that, we went to our table as Axel and Connor followed us.
I sat Luke down and put on his bib from his pocket.
I let him eat by himself so he can learn.
âIt feels like yesterday that Luke was just a baby who only knows how to say âmamaâ but now he can already eat by himselfâ Connor said.
Itâs true.
Luke really is growing up well.
Iâm glad and sad at the same time.
I donât think Iâm ready to watch him grow up too soon.
I enjoyed my time with my son a lot.
Who knows what can happen when he grows up?
He might be a mommyâs boy right now but Iâll never know in the future.
I hope and pray that weâll still have the same bond that we do in the future no matter how older he gets.
Luke may resemble his father more than me but he sure has my personality and attitude when I was also a child.
I watched Luke as he ate.
How will I be able to prepare myself for Lukeâs future?
We ate lunch peacefully and I cleaned up Luke afterwards.
Then, Axel and Connor played with Luke as I watched them.
Luke was laughing and giggling excitedly as Axel and Connor chased him around.
My son looked adorable.
âYour majestyâ
I turned to look at who called me.
âCaptain Rainer has come backâ the guard said.
My eyes slightly widened.
Heâs back so soon?
I thought theyâd come the next day.
âOkay. Iâll go and meet himâ I said.
The guard nodded and bowed his head.
I turned to look at Luke who was stilk playing.
âLuke!â I called.
They all turned to look at me.
Luke ran back to me.
âYes, mommy?â Luke asked innocently.
âUncle Rainer is backâ I told him.
âReally?â he asked excitedly.
I nodded.
âRainer is back so soon?â Axel asked.
I nodded.
âWe should go and meet himâ I said.
They nodded.
Luke held my hand as we made our way back to the palace to see Rainer.
Why did they come back ahead of schedule?
Did something go wrong?
They donât normally go back so soon.
So what happened?
We finally reached the palace and went in.
We went straight to the living room and I immediately saw Rainer.
But it was only him.
There was no sign of the other men.
âUncle Rainer!â Luke called him.
Rainer turned to look at us as Luke ran to him.
Rainer caught Luke in his arms and hugged.
âHey, buddyâ he said.
âI missed youâ Luke told him.
Rainer smiled.
âI missed you tooâ Rainer said then looked at me.
âLuke, can you stay with uncle Axel and Connor for a while. I need to talk to mommy aloneâ Rainer said.
My brows furrowed a little confused.
There was something.
Luke nodded obediently and Rainer gave him to Axel.
Then, Rainer held my hand and pulled me to one of the guest room.
âWhatâs happening?â I asked confused.
Rainer shut the door and faced me.
He had a look on his face that I didnât quite like.
It made me nervous.
âRainer, what happened? Why are you acting like this?â I asked restless.
Rainer took a deep breath.
âI found out something when I was in Lunarâ he started.
âI knew I had to tell you immediately so I came back aloneâ he said.
My brows furrowed.
What was so important that he came back just to tell me.
âWhat is it?â I asked.
Rainer looked at me for a moment.
âItâs about the former King. King Luisâ he said.
I immediately frowned.
That monster.
âWhat?â I asked again.
âI was going through some stuff in the the palace of Lunar when I ended up in an old room. Then, I found a few things there including theseâ Rainer said and took out something from his pocket.
It was a vial with something liquid inside and a piece of paper.
My brows furrowed as he gave it to me.
I opened the piece of paper and saw the letter.
I started to read it.
Dear Luan,
By the time that you find this letter, itâs already too late for me. I found out what your father did and what he is doing. I tried to stop him. I tried to talk him out of it. But heâs already in too deep. Your father is a bad bad man, son. He set up King Kale so he can take the crown for himself and heâs keeping him captive to keep the throne. Iâm dying, Luan. Your father has been gradually poisoning me to get rid of me. It was too late when I found out. I will not survive much longer. But I do hope that you will not become like your father. I know that you are different from him. I love you so much, son. Iâm sorry I was too late. Just know that I will always look after you from above. Love, Mom.
My mouth gaped open in shock.
She knew.
Luanâs mother knew.
She didnât just die.
She was killed.
She was killed by King Kale.
By his own husband.
Oh ghad.
