Liviana’s POV

I looked at myself in the mirror.

My black hair was already cut just above my waist.

Or atleast that’s how it seemed to be.

Although Halo is a secured territory from spies like Rainer, I was still worried.

I’ve been contemplating for a while on doing something to spice things up a little while I’m here in Halo.

I was finally able to put it into action for the the past week.

I have been here in Halo for 3 weeks now and Luke’s first birthday will be the day after tomorrow.

My grandparents wanted a big celebration for their great grandson, of course.

But I refused and said that I didn’t want anything grand for Luke right now.

Then, there was a knock on the door.

“Liviana?” Rainer called out from the other side of the door.

“What are you up to?” he asked.

I opened the door.

Rainer stood there while he held Luke’s hand to support him while standing up.

Luke has started walking on his own well bit we don’t let him run around yet in fear that he might hurt himself.

“Mama” Luke said as he extended his hands up to me.

I lifted him in my arms and gave him a k**s on the cheek.

“What are you up to?” Rainer asked me with a raised brow.

“Oh you’ll see” I said as I shut the door and left him out.

“You’re acting suspicious, Liviana!” he shouted from the other side of the door.

I laughed.

“If you’re bored, go and do your head warrior duties. This is going to take a while” I said.

“No. I’m waiting here until you and Luke come out. Who knows what you’re both up to” he insisted as I heard his footsteps walk away from the door.

I chuckled.

“Shall we continue, baby?” I said to Luke.

Luke giggled in reply.

I made Luke sit down on a stool for him in the bathroom as I faced the mirror.

I removed the black hair that I’ve been wearing for more than a week now.

It revealed my bleached hair.

The only thing Rainer and my grandparents know was that I cut my hair.

In reality, I didn’t even cut it yet.

I had bleached it and wore a wig as a disguise.

I had to bleach it again by tonight and then dye it with my desired color.

You can say that I was also bored that’s why I did this.

I turned to look at Luke and crouched down in front of him to show him my hair again.

He was also with me when I bleached it yhe first time.

“Mama” he said as he reached for my hair and touched it.

I smiled.

I lifted up Luke and sat him on the sink in front of me.

I took out the bleach set and hair dye from the cabinet and wore gloves.

Luke played with the extra gloves while I started to work on my hair.

I played with him from time to time as I continued to bleach my hair.

I would’ve asked for help but I was too confident that I can do it on my own.

I watched a ton of tutorial videos on it so I had that know-it-all mindset.

I played with Luke even when I had foil on my hair.

Luke laughed and giggled as I made silly faces for him.

Never in a thousand years did I see myself bleaching and dyeing my hair while playing with my toddler in the bathroom.

I even thought I’d die single.

Well, not until Luan came along.

I did plan a family with him.

And now, we have Luke.

But we can’t even see him right now.

It was too risky.

I don’t know what King Luis’ is up to right now.

As much as I wanted to know, now wasn’t the time.

I still had to continue my training in the real world this time.

In fact, this is when the real training starts.

Since I’ve been using my powers little by little, I also begin to feel how it can consume my energy little by little.

Unlike when I was in the spirit realm, my use of powers were limitless.

I don’t feel pain, exhaustion nor hunger.

I lifted Luke down and made him sit down on the stool again.

I went to the shower and washed off the bleach while Luke watched me.

Then, I washed it with purple shampoo like what I did last time as the tutorial said.

As soon as I was done with that process, I looked at myself in the mirror again.

I dried my hair and smiled proudly at the result.

Fortunately, it was already at level 10 blonde hair.

I turned to look at Luke again to show him the full process of everything.

“I think mommy has a hidden talent, baby” I said and Luke giggled.

I chuckled.

I proceeded to open the dye for my hair and started to apply it on my bleached hair.

Then, I waited as I played with Luke again.

I hoped and prayed that Luke will always remember these little moments with me.

I know that the time will come when he’ll be all grown up.

I stared at Luke as I cupped his face.

In my eyes, he looked like a carbon copy of his father.

Although everyone around us said that Luke actually resembled me except his green eyes which he got from his father.

I miss Luan every day.

I don’t think there has been a day that passed that I didn’t think of him.

I still looked forward to the day where we can meet again.

And maybe we can still be together.

That’s what I’ve been wishing for all this time.

Because the goddess knows how much Luan means to me now.

To Luke and I.

Despite the distance and the situation, it still him.

And it will always be him for me.

I sighed.

After a while, I hopped in the shower with Luke and quickly bathed him before going to sleep later.

I on the other hand, rinsed of the dye in my hair and washed up for bed as well.

Then, as for the final touch, I cut my hair im layers just above my waist.

Finally, I dried it.

Luke looked at me curiously as he reached out to touch my face.

I gave him a smile as I held his little hand on my face.

“Mama?” Luke said.

I nodded and gave him a k**s.

“Mama” I repeated and he giggled.

I looked at myself in the mirror.

I momentarily turned my eyes to bright gold.

It was as if I had turned into mom.

My new silver hair made it all possible.

I was the carbon copy of my mom with my father’s attitude indeed.

I lifted Luke in my arms and we both got out of the bathroom in robes.

“What took you guys so—Liviana?” Rainer said as he looked at me.

I smiled at him and decided to play a little prank on him.

“Rainer, you’ve grown so big. How are you?” I imitated my mom’s sweet voice as my eyes turned its gold color.

Rainer’s eyes widened as he stepped back in shock.

“P-princess Diana?” he stuttered.

I smiled as I held in my laughter.

“It’s me, Rainer” I said.

Rainer turned pale in fear.

That was it for me.

I burst out laughing as I put down Luke before I got on my knees and laughed hysterically.

Rainer looked at me in disbelief as Luke made his way to me.

“Not funny, Liviana” he said annoyed as he flushed red.

I chuckled.

“Like my new hair?” I asked him.

Rainer lifted Luke in his arms as he stared at me.

“You look like your mom” he said.

“I know, right?” I said with a smile.

“So that’s what you’ve been up to all along” he said with a frown as he sat on the edge of my bed with Luke on his lap.

“Yeah. I decided to spice things up a bit while I’m here. You can also think of it as a cover so no one in Lunar can find out about me” I said.

Luke nodded.

“You’re going to give everyone a heart attack when they see you” he pointed out.

I chuckled.

I also thought of that.

It’s a possibility.

“How do you think my grandparents will react?” I asked him as I made my way to my walk in closet to get Luke and I some clothes.

“Oh they’ll be more than just shocked to see your little makeover” Rainer said with a chuckle.

I first got some clothes for Luke and threw it to Rainer so he can dress him.

“I personally think that grandma will cry” I said as I slightly shut the door to get dressed.

“I think so too” Rainer said and we both chuckled.

I finished getting dressed and got out of the walk in closet.

Rainer just watched my every move.

“Out of all the colors you could’ve dyed your hair, you actually chose to dye it the color of your mom’s who you look so much alike” Rainer said.

“It’s grandma’s hair color too, you know” I said with a shrug.

Rainer gave me a look.

“You know what I mean, Liviana” he said.

I sighed.

“It’s a front, Rainer. I need to lay low while I’m here. The only people who know who I truly am are people here in the palace of Halo. The others who will meet me in the future outside of Halo will only see me as the princess who suddenly returned” I explained.

“You mean the princess who hasn’t aged since she disappeared? Seriously, Liviana?” Rainer said.

“So what? I can lie about being frozen for the past 19 years. That’s why I didn’t age. It’s a famous plot for stories” I said with a shrug.

“Liviana” Rainer said.

I chuckled.

“I’m kidding. Anyway, I have it all planned so don’t worry too much about it” I said and gave him a pat.

Rainer sighed as he stood up.

I got Luke from Rainer and Luke and I went to bed while Rainer still stood there looking at me.

“What?” I asked.

Rainer took a deep breath.

“You look good. Not just because you look like your mom. You just…you look pretty either way” Rainer said and turned his back towards us as he made his way to the sofa bed.

I chuckled.

“Thanks, Rainer” I said knowing he’ll hear me.

He didn’t reply and only ignored me.

I shook my head with a chuckle.

This was a fun makeover session.

I can’t wait to see my grandparents reaction tomorrow when they see me.
