Livianaâs POV
âItâs beautifulâ I muttered as we watched the sun set.
âIt isâ he said as he kissed the top of my head.
I turned to look at him.
At Luan.
A tear fell from my eye and I saw the sadness in his eyes as he wiped my tear on my face.
âI miss youâ he said as his voice broke.
âI do tooâ I said.
Then, I woke up.
I felt something wet on my face and I touched it.
I actually cried.
I sighed.
I carefully got up and turned to look at my side.
There, I saw Luke still sleeping.
I gave him a k**s before getting off the bed.
I immediately saw Rainer by the couch sleeping.
He said heâd leave after we fell asleep but I guess he didnât.
I do remember King Callisto mentioning that he was my bodyguard.
I got a blanket and carefully put it on him.
After that, I made my way to the bathroom to freshen up.
As soon as I faced myself in the mirror, my mouth gaped open.
My black hair has grown even longer to the point that it was almost at my butt.
My complexion was as pala as a ghostâs.
It was also evident that I lose a lot of weight.
Iâm alive but I look dead.
Great.
I sighed as I stripped off my clothes.
My brows furrowed when I caught a glimpse of my back.
I turned my back to look at it in the mirror.
My eyes slightly widened when I saw the fulk view of my back.
Instead of just the moon mark by my shoulder, my whole back was covered by not only a symbol of the moon but also the symbols of the 4 elements.
Fire.
Water.
Land.
Air.
And in the middle is the moon.
The moon mark that was once by my shoulder was replaced with a crown.
I tried to take it all in.
I admired it for a moment.
Every detail of it.
It was beautiful.
But thenâ¦.
Mt eyes landed on my neck.
Luanâs mark had already disappeared.
Itâs like it was never even there.
Another tear escaped my eye.
Then, there was a knock on the door.
âYour majesty? Are you there?â
It was Rainer.
âYes, I am. Iâm going to wash up. Is Luke already awake by any chance?â I asked.
âNo, your majestyâ he answered.
âOkay. Iâll just wash up and Iâll be right outâ I said.
âOkay, your majestyâ he said and I heard his footsteps as he walked away from the bathroom door.
I got into the shower immediately and washed up.
Despite being in a coma for more than a year, my body was kept clean.
I can only assume that the helpers would wipe and dress me while I was in a coma.
After my shower, I got out in a robe because I couldnât get any clothes earlier.
Once I got out, I saw Rainer holding Luke in his arms.
Rainer turned to look at me.
âThe helpers brought you a fresh set of clothes, your majestyâ Rainer said and pointed to the table.
I nodded as I rushed to get my clothes and went back to the bathroom.
I got dressed quickly and went out to attend to my sonâs needs.
âMamaâ Luke said as he saw me.
Then, he extended his little arms towards my direction.
I smiled.
Rainer gave Luke to me.
âGood morning, little oneâ I said as I brushed my noses on his.
Luke giggled.
âMamaâ he said again making me smile even wider.
His cute little voice was music to my ears.
âBreakfast will be prepared soon. Do you wish to have your breakfast here, your majesty?â Rainer said as he held me on my elbow and guided me back to my bed to sit down.
âIâd like to have it outside pleaseâ I said.
Rainer nodded.
âAnd Rainer?â I said.
âYes your majesty?â he said.
âCan you not call me your majesty? Drop the formalities. Pleaseâ I said.
Rainer chuckled.
âOkayâ¦Livianaâ he said with a small smile.
I gave him a small smile back.
âThe King and Queen have already asked the helpers to prepare a new room for youâ Rainer said and then he looked around the room.
âOne thatâs cozier and closer to Lukeâs roomâ he told me with a chuckle.
I chuckled and nodded.
There was a moment of silence.
âRainerâ I said.
âYes?â he replied.
âYou were the one who found me that time, right?â I asked.
Rainer nodded.
âYesâ he said.
I smiled a little.
âThank youâ I told him.
Rainer smiled.
âYouâre welcome, Livianaâ he said.
I smiled.
I could never imagine what wouldâve happened to me if I wasnât found.
Maybe both Luke and I wouldnât be here in that case.
âKing Callisto also mentioned that you were âmy bodyguardâ? I thought you were the head warrior?â I asked curiously.
I was extra talkative today.
Maybe it was because of the fact that I couldnât talk for more than a year.
âYes. Iâm actually bothâ he said with a chuckle.
âSo youâre my bodyguard when youâre not acting as the head warrior?â I said.
Rainer shook his head.
I looked at him curiously.
âIâd say that it was the other way around. Iâm the head warrior when Iâm not acting as your bodyguardâ he told me.
I looked at him confused.
âItâs because I spent most of my time by your side since you came here. I only ever leave your side if something really really important comes up that I need to deal with. It happens rarely so I also rarely leave your sideâ he explained.
I looked at him baffled.
âDonât you even rest?â I asked stunned.
âI do. But I normally rest where I can look after youâ he said with a shrug.
I looked at him feeling a little guilty.
Not only did I keep this man from doing his responsibilities, I also deprived him of his personal time.
âIâIâm sorryâ I apologized in embarrassment.
I felt really bad.
Never in my entire life did I think Iâd cause this much trouble to someone at such a long period of time too.
Rainer chuckled.
âIf it makes you feel any better, I volunteered to do itâ he said.
I looked at him for a moment.
âYou reminded me of Princess Dianaâ he said.
âYouâve met my mother?â I asked.
Rainer nodded.
âShe used to look after me when I was a child. Atleast before she leftâ he told me.
I saw a glint of sadness flash in his eyes but it was gone as quickly as it came.
Rainer did look older than I was.
Iâm guessing about a few years.
âWhen we confirmed that you werenât Princess Diana, everyone still agreed to keep you here and nurture you back to health. Weâ¦we all had that feeling about youâ he said as he looked at me.
âA certain connectionâ he continued.
He was talking about my connection with Princess Diana.
âWe were rightâ he said with a smile.
I smiled.
Then, there was a knock on the door.
âYour majesty, Captain, breakfast is ready by the gardenâ a guard said.
Rainer and I both nodded.
As usual, Rainer scooped me up from the bed and lifted me up in his arms while I still held Luke in my arms.
Luke giggled as I squeaked in surprise.
âStop doing that! I can literally walkâ I scolded.
Rainer chuckled.
âI know but Kingâs ordersâ he said with a shrug as he gently put us down on the wheelchair.
Rainer pushed the wheelchair out of the room as we made our way out.
Luke was sitting down on my lap with a tiger stuffed toy in his hands.
âWill the King and Queen have breakfast with us?â I asked.
âOf course. They already canceled everything for the week to spend time with youâ Rainer said.
My eyes widened a bit.
âThey did?â I asked already feeling guilty.
âWell, yes. They found out after all these years, they actually have a granddaughter. And in the worst possible way at that. So I think a week of delayed responsibilities isnât all that badâ he said with a chuckle.
I bit my lower l*p in guilt.
âI donât think that made me feel betterâ I sulked.
Rainer laughed.
âSorryâ he said with a chuckle.
I sighed.
Way to go, Liviana.
After some time, we arrived at the garden and I saw the King and the Queen waiting for us.
âMy precious gems!â the Queen squealed excitedly as she made her way to us.
The Queen gave both Luke and I a k**s.
âHow was your sleep, dear?â the Queen asked me.
âIt was fine, your highnessâ I said politely.
The Queen pouted.
âLiviana, donât call me âyour highnessâ. Iâm your grandmother, arenât I? Call me grandma insteadâ she told me.
I blushed shyly.
âO-okayâ¦g-grandmaâ I said as I blushed.
Queen Selene smiled as she hugged me.
âMuch betterâ she said with a proud smile.
âNow, come on. Letâs have breakfastâ she said and motioned us to the table where the King was.
âGood morning, yourââ I was about to say.
âGrandpa. Call me grandpa, Livianaâ King Callisto cut me off.
I gulped as I smiled awkwardly.
âGood morning, g-grandpaâ I greeted.
King Callisto smiled.
Rainer carried me to my seat and sat down beside me.
We ate breakfast peacefully as I also enjoyed the scenery in the garden.
It was filled with different kinds of flowers and there was a fountain in the middle.
After breakfast, I excused myself because I wanted to roam around the garden with Luke.
Rainer came with us, of course.
He wouldnât leave our side no matter what.
Rainer pushed the wheelchair as me made our way through the garden.
I would touch and smell the flowers as I passed by.
Then, I extended my hand to the flower bushes to touch them as we made our way through.
More flowers bloomed in the bushes.
More vibrant and more beautiful.
I smiled at my creation.
âItâs beautifulâ Rainer suddenly said.
I had almost forgotten he was with us even when he was the one pushing the wheelchair.
âThanksâ I said awkwardly.
There was a moment of silence.
âAre powers common here in Halo?â I asked curiously.
âNot in Halo but your mother did have it. Although it wasnât a power like yoursâ Rainer told me.
âMom had healing powersâ I said.
Rainer nodded.
âShe also passed it on to meâ I told him.
Rainer stopped and he looked at me.
âShe did?â he asked.
I nodded.
âArenât you a powerful oneâ he said with a chuckle as he continued to push the wheelchair.
âDoesnât it take a lot of e energy from you?â he asked curiously.
âIt doesâ I answered truthfully.
My human body doesnât function like it does in the spirit realm.
When I used my powers yesterday, I did feel somewhat tired because of it.
That only means Iâll need to practice it here more in the real world.
âThen you better be careful. Donât strain yourselfâ he reminded.
I nodded.
I know very well that it will take time for me to recover.
