Livianaâs POV
âLivi!â I heard a familiar voice call out. I looked back to see Blake walking towards me with a smile. I waved at him as he approached me and wrapped me in a hug.
âIâve missed you so muchâ he said and squeezed my face. I chuckled and removed his hands on my face before trapping him in a headlock.
Weâre currently in the hallway where the lockers are.
âIâm sure you didâ I teased as he whined at my hold of him. I laughed as he struggled at my grip.
Suddenly, everyone became quiet and I watched as a group made its way through the hallway.
I immediately pulled Blake out of there as I sensed a strong aura from the group in the hallway.
âWhatâs wrong?â he asked me.
âI want to be early for Physicsâ I told him. He chuckled and put his arm around my shoulder as we walked to my Physics room.
When we arrived, Blake slightly ruffled my hair and gave me a hug before leaving for his own class.
I sat at the far back right beside the window as my thoughts wandered away.
Soon enough, our professor came in and unfortunately for me, he was with two of the guys in the group earlier.
I didnât look in front and instead I looked outside but listened as the professor introduced the guys.
Abe Haymes and Beau Haymes.
Twins.
Thatâs interesting, I guess.
They sat on the other side of class so I didnât have to worry about being close to them.
Their auras were different from those that Iâve normally encountered. It was strong but not as strong as the other one from one of the other guys earlier.
Class started and I barely listened.
I attended my next class and thank goddess that none of the people earlier was in my class at the time.
I attended 2 classes then it was lunch time.
I immediately saw a familiar face in our familiar table and once she saw me, she squealed in excitement and ran to me in a hug.
âOh ghad! I missed you so much, Liviâ she exclaimed squeezing me tight. I chuckled.
âI missed you too, Katie. How was Summer?â I asked her as we sat down our table.
âIt was fun but it couldâve been a lot more fun with youâ she pouted. I smiled.
She talked about how her Summer went since she and her brother Blake spent it overseas at her grandparents.
I on the other hand had nothing fun to talk about.
After lunch, class started again.
I had 3 classes in the afternoon.
After about 2 classes, I was already relieved and sure that no one else from my other classes was from that group earlier.
Boy was I wrong.
Literally at my next class, that other guy with might I say the strongest aura among the 4 of them, was in my class.
Luan Grey.
Did I mention that he sat behind me? Dang it.
Anyway, I tried my best to ignore it. I doubt heâll notice me at all or maybe he will. Hopefully not.
As soon as class ended, I scurried away from the room and bumped on someoneâs chest.
I held my forehead and looked at who it was only to see Tyler Howl looking down on me with a glare.
I gave him the same look and he just smirked in disbelief before walking away.
Jerk.
I got out school and rode my motorbike after putting on a helmet.
After a while, I reached the secluded road and into the woods as I sped up to reach home.
The guards immediately opened the gates for me and I went in then parked my motorbike.
I removed my helmet and got off before heading to the front door and going in.
Ellie pounced on me and I managed to catch her in my arms.
âLivi!â she squealed in excitement hugging me.
âWelcome home, Alpha. How was your first day?â Theresa asked with a bow. I gave her a small smile.
Yes, you red that right. Alpha. Iâm an Alpha.
âIt was not the usual, Iâll tell you thatâ I told her. She chuckled.
âI missed you so much, Liviâ Ellie said pouting. I smiled and booped her nose.
âI missed you too, little oneâ I said then someone entered.
âAlphaâ Edmond, the packâs Beta came in bowing to me. I gave him an acknowledging nod before putting down Ellie.
âDaddy!â she squealed and hugged Edmond.
âIâll meet you in the office in 15â I told him and he nodded.
I went up to my room and showered before changing into a set of comfortable clothing then heading out to the office with a towel on my head.
Edmond was already there so I sat on my swivel chair and browsed the files on the table.
He started going on about the pack updates and I listened as I went through the files in my hands.
After he finished, I nodded in understanding.
âWe have one more matter we need to talk aboutâ he said. I crossed my arms in front of my chest listening.
âYour 18th birthdayâ he said.
âWhat about it?â I asked in disinterest.
âAre you not planning on doing anything?â he asked. I shook my head.
âAlpha, you didnât celebrate your birthday last year. Are you not going to celebrate your 18th too? Itâs a very special day for every werewolfâ he told me.
âI donât care, Edmond. I donât want to celebrate a birthday with my fatherâs absenceâ I said. Edmondâs eyes softened.
âLiviâ¦â he said calling me by my nickname.
âNo, Edmondâ I growled. He sighed and nodded before bowing and going out of the office.
I sighed.
My name is Liviana Crest. Iâm 17 years old and turning 18 in a few days. Also, Iâm Crescent Moonâs Alpha. Yes, Alpha and not Luna.
My father was Dimitri Crest. He was Alpha before he left to do a mission about 2 years ago.
My father was Dimitri Crest. He was Alpha before he left to do a mission about 2 years ago.
I was 16 when I had to take over his place after he left. A lot of werewolves doubted me and tried to get me to back down.
But ever since I was a child, even before the age of shifting, my father already taught me combat.
To make it short, those who tried to strip me away of the title ended up dead.
After hours of working, I finished up in my office and went to my room to sleep only for my phone to ring.
I answered it when I saw that it was Blake.
âHeyyyâ
âHiâ I replied with a yawn.
âSleepy?â
âKind ofâ I said honestly.
âSorry I couldnât see you at lunch or after class. I had a meeting with the basketball teamâ
âItâs okay. How did it go?â I asked.
âIt was fine. Thereâs two new recruits. Theyâre twins. What was their names again? Hmmm oh yeah! Abe and Beau Haymesâ
âWhat?!â I said surprised.
âYeah. We saw them in the hallway earlierâ
I closed my eyes in frustration.
âTheyâre our batch mates. Theyâre actually pretty good. Not as good as me thoughâ
I chuckled but I still wasnât at ease.
âBlakeâ¦â I started. I wanted to tell him to be careful around them but I just I couldnât. That would confuse him.
Blake and Katie arenât werewolves. Theyâre humans. Iâve known them since I was little because their parents used to work for the pack house.
I basically grew up with the both of them.
Blake is the same age as I am while Katie is a year younger than us.
They donât know about the existence of werewolves. They didnât need to know about that.
But in this type of situation, I really wish they knew so I can tell them when and why they should be careful.
âNevermindâ I said.
âAyo thatâs evil. Iâll be thinking about it all night if you donât tell meâ
âI just wanted to tell you to be careful not to ridicule yourself with those cocky remarksâ I chuckled.
âOuch that hurt. Do you not think Iâm the best in court?â
âEhhh youâre okayâ I teased.
âPain. So much painâ
I laughed. He sighed.
âOkay, then. Iâll go cry in the corner and you go on ahead and sleepâ
âOkay. Be sure to bring tissues with youâ I joked.
âI will. Goodnight, Liviâ
âGoodnight, Blakeâ I said.
We ended the call.
I put my phone on my bedside and turned off the lights before going to sleep.
Hopefully, those newcomers donât cause any problem.
