Chapter 284
Glen had yet to find the opportunity to go rafting with Maggie.
However, at dinner, he once again âcoincidentallyâ ran into Maggie and her family.
Maggieâs uncle and aunt warmly invited him and his friends to sit down and have dinner with them.
Upon learning that he was from the White family, Jason asked with curiosity, âWhat made you suddenly want to return to America for development?â
Thinking back to the original reason for coming back to the country, Glen paused briefly while eating before replying, âIâm very interested in Coleâs programming language, CUAP, and the latest project, InfiniteâCM. I wanted
to come back and learn at Cole.â
The Miller family knew about Maggie and Cole.
At his words, they all smiled and subtly glanced at Maggie.
Maggie silently lowered her head and continued eating.
Glen didnât give it much thought.
Maggieâs professional skills were undoubtedly impressive.
But Glen had spoken to people who knew her and learned that she had only joined Cole last year. CUAP, however, had been around for many years.
Moreover, it was commonly known that CUAP was developed by Nolan at Cole.
In the eyes of the industry, CUAP was so impressive that it only made sense for it to have been developed by Nolan.
As for Coleâs latest project, InfiniteâCM, he truly thought it was being led by Johnny.
After joining Cole, he had met Johnny a few times during meetings.
From the few interactions, Glen could sense that Johnnyâs professional abilities were indeed very impressive.
But since he hadnât had much inâdepth contact with him, he couldnât really compare whether Maggie or Johnny was more capable.
However, from what he had observed in work situations, it always seemed that Maggie was the one assisting Johnny.
Therefore, he had assumed that Johnnyâs professional abilities were superior to Maggieâs.

Chapter 284
The Miller family was wellâmannered, warm, and talkative. After this meal, Glen developed a good impression of them all.
However, after dinner, Maggie and her family left the scenic area to go home.
Once Glen saw them leave, he also didnât linger at the scenic area.
The next day, Maggie received a call from Isabella.
Isabella was returning to America.
She said, âMom, Dad wonât be back for another two or three days. Are you free? After I get back, Iâd like to visit you and greatâgrandmother.â
Maggie recalled that her grandmother had mentioned Isabella several times over the past few days. After a brief pause, she replied, âYou can come over.â
On the last day of the holiday, after Isabella arrived in America, she went straight to the Miller family.
She also brought gifts for Maggie, her grandmother, and the rest of the family.
Maggieâs grandmother and Jason were all very happy with the gifts Isabella had brought.
Maggie noticed that, besides the gifts for them, there were two other presents left in Isabellaâs suitcase.
It was obvious that these were for Franklin and Julia.
Maggie calmly averted her gaze.
After handing out the gifts, Isabella, now tired from her travels, came over to cuddle with Maggie. Before falling asleep, she found a comfortable spot in her arms, hugging her waist, and soon drifted into sleep.
She hadnât even showered yet.
But seeing how exhausted she looked and how soundly she was sleeping, Maggie didnât wake her.
After Isabella had fallen deeply asleep, Maggie gently placed her on the bed.
Isabella took a nap, and the next morning, before Maggie went to work, she drove her to school.
Maggie didnât ask when Franklin would be back.
However, after spending three days during the holiday, Franklin returned.
Upon returning to America, he didnât contact Maggie but reached out to Isabella instead.
After Isabella finished her phone call with Franklin, she told Maggie, âMom, he said heâll come pick me up in a bit.â

Maggie said, âOkay.â
Isabella, although still reluctant to leave the Miller family, ultimately decided to return with Franklin, as he had said he missed her.
Half an hour later, Franklin arrived.
Maggie, holding Isabellaâs hand, walked to his car.
Franklin got out of the car and looked at her, saying, âYouâve worked hard these past few days.â
Maggie didnât say anything. Instead, she spoke to Isabella, âIsabella, I need to have a word with your dad. You go ahead and get in the car first.â
Isabella glanced at them: âOhâ¦â
She obediently got into the car.
After Franklin shut the car door, Maggie finally spoke: âYouâre letting her go with bodyguards all the way out there, and sheâs only six. Are you sure about that?â
