Currently, he was left all alone in the room. The Matriarch left a little earlier. She was most probably waiting for him to heal, and then get stricter on him.
And, of course, he wasnât left unchecked, Max could feel a few strong auras keeping a tab on him.
âMost likely Supremes..â Max sighed inwardly. It seemed they didnât want to underestimate him any longer. He would have to be obedient for a while.
Max could feel Erina and Synthiaâs presence around, and had already informed them about this situation. Synthia would have to wait for a while as Max needed a little time to get out of here.
To be honest, he had already made his move in the outside world to ensure that he could leave this place. After all, he had no idea how long they might keep him imprisoned here. And, in all his honesty, Max knew that he didnât have much time to spare around.
But, before leaving, he needed to make sure that he won the trust of the Crimsons, and established himself as someone worth investing in. Aside from that, there was only one more thing which interested Max here.
It was the Ancient Cemetery.
Yes! It was Maxâs speculations that every Spatial Pouch was actually a place where the Ancient Cemetery was located. It was same for the other Ancient Families and so Max was sure that one of them was here too.
According to the things Max knew, he had formed his own hypothesis. He knew that there were 12 Artifacts, which probably meant that there should have originally been 12 Ancient Families or Clans who protected these Artifacts in their own respective Spatial pouches.
But time or some unknown factors had erased a few Ancient Families from existence. And, if Max was right, the Ancient Cemetery he came across was probably a destroyed Spatial Pouch which once housed an Ancient Family. And, the same was probably true for cemetery his mother came across.
Max wanted to go on a search for it, but now was not the right time. He needed to recover a little, and it was probably good to stay a little quiet after causing so much of a commotion.
â¦
Yule Family, Ocien.
âPatriarch, there has been someone requesting an audience with you..â A servant came up to Old man Sun and informed him with a bow.
âDid he say something?â Old man Sun asked. He was the Patriarch of a family, and normally, he wasnât someone that you could easily meet even if he was wasting his time away.
âSir, he actually passed on a crest.â The Servant took out a crest, and showed it to the old man.
At first glance, Old man Sun didnât recognize it at all, but when he concentrated a little, he realized that there was an illusion type formation drawn on the crest, and the real identity of the crest was hidden unless it was an expert judging it.
âEdwinson?â The Old manâs lip twitched when he realized that it belonged to Max. If Max was here, then it meant that the old man had to do some work for him.
âSend him in..â The Old man waved his hand with a sullen face.
But, when the person came in, it wasnât Max. It was someone whom Old man Sun had seen by Maxâs side.
It was Naze.
The old man didnât say anything, but just looked at him.
Naze understood what it meant, and spoke with a smile, âI am here with another request..â
Old Man Sunâs face twitched slightly on that. He knew that he had lost the bet, and had no choice but to obey Max as the brat kept threatening him using the Ancient Family. And, even if that wasnât there, he still had a face to maintain.
How could he go back on his words?
âSpeak..â Old man said as he looked at Naze.
âWell, there was a little incident yesterdayâ¦and one of our teammates went missing. And, Max went after him, but before going he said to look for you if he didnât return in 3 days..â
Old Man Sun frowned a little. He didnât think that sly brat would need help that easily. And, with the backing of the Ancient Family, there probably werenât many who would dare to touch him except for the Demons. And, he had kept his eyes on the city, and hadnât felt anything recently.
âWhere did he go?â Old man Sun asked as he stared at Naze.
âHe went to the back mountains of the Scarlet House..â
Those words immediately made the Old manâs eyes widen a little. But, he calmed himself down. It wasnât possible for someone at Maxâs level to discover the Spatial pouch, so there was probably not a need to worry.
âAnd, we have lost connection with him for a whole day nowâ¦.so I came to report early..â
âSh*t!â The Old man cursed inwardly. He knew that it had happened somehow. There was no other way to make sense of this event, the back mountains were indeed big, but it should not take much time to search the place when the brat had the ability to fly.
And, losing connections only strengthened his fears that Max had entered the Spatial pouch.
But, the question was, how?
Even he couldnât break into the Spatial Pouch, so how could Max slip into it.
âDid they let him in?â Old Man Sun couldnât help but think like that. But, that wasnât possible. Especially with the Matriarchâs cautious personality.
âThis is going to be a messâ¦â Old Man Sun could already feel a headache. After all, if he was to get Max out, it meant that he had to deal with the old hag, and even take responsibility for Max.
He was going to get on the bad side of the old hag with nothing to gain in return.n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om
Talk about a fair exchange!!!
But, who could he blame but himself!
He was the one with a big mouth, and made a bet with Max.
