Two days had passed since Vivek's conversation with his father. He had given the evidence to the DGP for taking appropriate action.
As Vivek sat in his office, he received an unexpected visit from Anand. The CM's son walked in with a smile on his face, but Vivek could sense the malice behind it.
"Vivek, how are you?" Anand asked, his voice dripping with sarcasm.
Vivek's eyes narrowed. "I'm fine, Anand. What brings you here?"
Anand chuckled. "Oh, I just wanted to congratulate you on your upcoming arrival. How's Gayathri doing? And she's pregnant? And how's your little daughter, Vaiga?"
Vivek's instincts kicked in, and he sensed that Anand's question was not just a casual inquiry. There was a sinister tone to it, a veiled threat.
"What do you want, Anand?" Vivek asked, his voice firm.
Anand's smile grew wider. "Oh, I just want to remind you that you're playing with fire, Vivek. You're meddling in things that are beyond your control."
Vivek's eyes locked onto Anand's. "I'm not afraid of you, Anand. I'll do whatever it takes to bring you to justice."
Anand's smile faltered for a moment, but he quickly regained his composure. "We'll see about that, Vivek. We'll see about that."
He continued, "Vivek, be a wise man. You have a small family to cherish, especially a pregnant wife and a small kid. So be careful on your actions. And how about your hand, is it okay now?"
Vivek understood the meaning behind Anand's words. He was being threatened, and Anand was reminding him that he had the power to harm his family.
Vivek answered wisely, "My hand is fine, Anand. And I'll make sure to take care of my family, no matter what."
Anand's smile grew wider, but Vivek could sense the anger behind it. "Good, good. I'm glad to hear that."
After warning Vivek, Anand left the office, leaving Vivek with a sense of unease.
