As night fell, Gayathri and Vivek retired to their respective rooms. Vaiga soon drifted off to sleep, exhausted from the day's events.
Gayathri's phone rang, shrill in the silence. She answered, and Vivek's father's voice came through, asking her to hand the phone to Vivek.
