"Hey! What happened?!" Soona ran toward Yena, who was clenching her ankle on the ground.
"He pushed me and ran off."
"Taehyun? He's dead when I see him!" Soona goes running, but Yena grabs her leg.
"It's not worth it. He's gone by now; let's just meet with others." She attempts to stand.
"Here, let me help." Soona grabs her arm to support her. Yena gets back on her feet, looking down at her ankle.
"Is it fine?" Soona looks worrying.
"I think so; I just tripped." She starts to walk toward the path slowly.
"You ran this far with him?"
"Yeah, I didn't want him to ruin our plans. He's trying hard to ruin this mission.." She thinks in deep thought. No one knew why he was ruining it.
"I've never seen him in our realm..." Soona says with her finger stroking her chin.
"I haven't either.." Yena trailed off.
"We have to investigate this more later." The two finally reached the hot tub.
"You both finally came; where did you go?" Beomgyu asks. The air was a little tense from both sides, being anxious.
"Yena forgot her towel.." Soona lies. Yeonjun could tell something was wrong but decided not to speak.
"Are you okay?" Beomgyu looked at Yena, who was clasping her ankle.
"Yeah, I just fell by accident earlier."
SN: "The teachers already asleep, so we have to be quiet sneaking back to our tents later."
YN:" Hey, Do anyone of you know when that Taehyun guy came to the school?"
"He was here before you guys," Beomgyu speaks.
"Before us? Strange.." Soona trailed off. Why did he come before us? Did he have a mission here? But why did he try to ruin ours??
"I don't like that guy," Yeonjun adds.
"I don't either." Soona agrees, Yena turns to face Beomgyu.
"Has he ever said anything weird to you?"
"No, Not that I remember. He's been kind to me." He shrugged his shoulders.
"Why was he here earlier?" Yeonjun remembers.
"Yeah, it's a bit strange.." Beomgyu says.
"Did you invite him, Yena?" Yeonjun asked.
"No, He just came.."
"Let's forget it for now. Let's enjoy ourselves." Soona distracts them.
The four made their way back up the trail to return to the campground, but when 1/4 there, Soona realized she forgot something.
"You guys go ahead; I forgot to grab my watch."
"Are you sure you don't want one of us to go with you? It's dark and late." Yeonjun asks.
"I'll be fine guys, just walk slow." Soona turned off to walk back toward the hot springs.
"Where is it?" She walked around the edge of the springs, even the trees nearby.
Soona saw something shining underwater, "it must be there, right?"
She walked toward the edge, bending down to attempt to reach inside the water with her arm.
She tried stretching my arms further, but it wasn't working, suddenly she felt a forced blow behind her and fell into the water headfirst.
The water filled around her; she tried to open her eyes to find the watch; she felt around blindly until touching the familiar metal.
Soona grabbed it and clamped it around her wrist; she then felt she couldn't move. It was as If a force held her down, but no one was around her.
Suddenly she felt a hand grab her arm, pulling her up from the water, and she began to gasp for air.
"Are you okay?" An unfamiliar voice asked, wiping the wet hair out of her face.
Her eyes opened to see a face she never saw before. "Who are you?"
"I'm in your class."
"I've never seen you, sorry. I'm fine, thanks.." She pulled away and pulled herself out of the springs; she sat on the edge, still gathering her air.
"Were you looking for something?"
"Yeah, I lost my watch, but I found it." She held her wrist up slightly, chuckling.
"You're Soona, right?"
"Yes, that's me, and you are?"
"I'm Soobin."
"Soobin? Ah, are you, friends, with kai?"
"Yes, and Taehyun."
Soona cringed at the mention of Taehyun's name; she didn't ever want to hear that.
"I see; I have to get back to my friends now. Thanks again." She stands up slowly.
"Will you be fine on your own?"
"Yes, thanks again." She nodded and walked off into the dense trees.
'Why are his friends nice, but he isn't?' She thought to herself.
Soona was walking in the woods when a flash of light caught her off guard.
"Who is it?" She speaks out loud.
"Who do you think?" The familiar red hair boy comes out behind the tree.
"You! Getaway!" She picks her pace up, almost running.
"Why are you running? Are you scared?" He laughed, catching up.
"I don't want to talk to you." She keeps her eyes fixated ahead.
"We are both here with the same goals. Why can't you talk to me?"
"Same goals?! No! you're ruining my mission!" She stops in the middle of the path facing him finally.
"My mission is the not allow them together. "
"That's not a mission; our missions only bring people together!"
"Yeonjun isn't his only person now."
"Then who?!"
"Classified information, just know I have my mission too." He walks away.
"Hey! Excuse me!" Soona ran toward him.
"There you are! Oh, soona? Hello." Kai says in front of him.
"I- 'll talk to you later! Sorry, Kai, I have to go!" Soona brushes past the two of them, leaving Kai confused and Taehyun amused.
"Soona, what took so long?" Yeonjun asks, seeing me catch up with the three.
"I had a complication, sorry." Soona catches her breath.
"Did you run?" Yena laughed.
"I had to get away from someone."
"Who?" Yeonjun asks beside me, "Taehyun."
"That- He makes my blood boil.." He gritted his teeth.
"Let's calm down, okay? Don't give him what he wants." Yena says worriedly.
"I'll go to bed; I look forward to tomorrow, guys. Keep an eye out also." Soona says to Beomgyu and Yeonjun, who were departing to their tent.
"I'll watch out, you too," Yeonjun reassured Soona.
"We need to be careful here.." Yena says, zipping the tent.
"I know, but he's making it difficult he told me earlier that Beomgyu doesn't only have Yeonjun to be paired with!"
"What?! Is that possible?" She gasped.
"I don't know; let's ask miss when we get back to town." Soona laid down, preparing to sleep.
While everyone was sleeping, Taehyun arose from his tent. He crept over toward the tent of Beomgyu and Yeonjun; upon reaching it, he carefully unzipped it.
He crawled inside; sitting up, he took the needle out of his pocket filled with the liquid that would make the receiver forget 24 hours prior.
He slowly edged the needle toward Beomgyu's arm, slowly poked it inside, and released the liquid.
He smirked to himself, knowing this would make them forget what happened this night and complete the mission back to before.
He wiped the needle and turned toward Yeonjun.
He slowly rolled the sleeve of his shirt up; Yeonjun was in a deep sleep; Taehyun poked the needle into his skin.
That night, they both would wake up later to forget what happened.
"My head hurts. I can't remember what we did last night."Beomgyu scratched his head.
"What? You forgot?" Soona asks beside him.
"Yeah, I can't remember..."
"We all went to the hot spring," Soona tells him, but he looked confused.
"I don't remember.."
"I don't either actually, are you sure?" Yeonjun appeared beside Soona.
"Really?! We did.." Soona walks away toward Yena.
"Hey! both of them claim they don't remember going to the hot springs last night.."
"What?! How?!" Yena almost split her coffee.
"I think Taehyun used the injection.."
"Where is he?!" Yena looked around in anger.
"Calm down, don't bring too much attention. We will handle it later.." Soona walked back toward the two.
"Isn't today the haunted trail?" Beomgyu says, reading the sign.
"Yes, I'm glad you remember that." Soona sighed, relieved.
"These Hot dogs are excellent!" Yena exclaimed.
"They're delicious." Soona agreed while taking a bite.
Beomgyu reaches over to grab the ketchup when his wrist accidentally touched Soona. He winced when his wrist burned, and he grabbed it with his other hand, looking at it.
"Are you okay?" Soona asked beside him.
He quickly covered it up, "I'm fine; it's nothing." He grabs the ketchup again.
The initials were still on his arm from before, but he didn't want anyone to see it.
"Let me see." Soona reaches toward his wrist, but Beomgyu flinches and knocks his drink over on Yeonjun.
"I'm sorry!" He panicked; standing up, he grabbed the napkins and wiped the table off.
"It's fine." Yeonjun sighed while drying himself.
"Are you okay today?" Yena asks.
"I'm fine, sorry. I have to go to the bathroom." Beomgyu rushed off.
He reached inside the bathroom and rolled his sleeve up, and he examined the marks.
He tried washing it off, but it didn't work. He even tried scrubbing it with soap for 10 minutes before giving up.
"What's going on?!" He cried out, and he sat on the floor looking at it.
"He's acting weird today. I'm worried." Yena says.
"Yeah, I don't know why.." Yeonjun says, eating the last bite of his hot dog.
"I'll go check on him." Soona stood up from the table and walked toward the bathroom. She knocks at the door, "Beomgyu, are you okay?" She asks from outside.
The door slowly opened, and Soona was pulled inside unexpectedly.
"Beomgyu what-?"
"Listen to me, and I might be crazy, but.." He cuts her off.
"What?" She asks with widened eyes.
"That night you left, you left your watch!" He stuttered out.
"What about it?"
"I accidentally tried to wear it and.."
"And?!" Soona says, frustrated.
"Iworethewatchanditburnedtheinitialstomywristanditburnswhenitouchyou." He says altogether, not leaving spaces.
"What?" Soona says with furrowed eyebrows.
"I WORE THE WATCH, AND IT BURNED ME." He yelled out.
"Burned you? okay... then?" She asks, looking at him with concerned eyes.
"Then.. this!" He rolled his sleeve up and extended his arm toward her. She grabbed his wrist and looked at it; her eyes widened even bigger.
"My initials? why?" She touched it, and He pulled his arm back.
"It hurts?" She asks.
"It burns if you touch it, it burned earlier when I accidentally rubbed against your arm.."
"That's strange; Uhm, I need to go; I'll be back!" She tried to run out the door, but he puts an arm over her head.
"You don't know why this is happening? I'm freaked out here!" He says with his voice shaking.
"I don't know. I need to ask someone!" She opens the door running outside.
"YENA!" Sorry, Yeonjun!" She grabbed Yena, pulling her along to the side.
"What?" Yena asks.
"Beomgyu wore my watch, and now he has my initials burned into his wrist."
"What? the what?" She was just as confused.
"Please, he's freaking out, so am I.."
"I don't know.."
"Are you sure you want to know?" Taehyun comes out of nowhere.
"Why are you here?!" Yena says, shocked.
"I know why it happened, don't you want to know?"
"You could be lying." Soona scoffed.
"You sinned."
"Me?! I did not!" Soona pointed at him.
"You need to study more; come to me when you want to know." He walked away.
"What could It be?" Soona rubbed her forehead in frustration.
"I hope he's wrong," Yena says, worried.
"I do too..." Soona sighed; she hoped it wasn't as he said.
