"I knew it was you." A voice spoke behind me; I slowly turned my head to see Taehyun.
"What? How did you? I thought you took a different path-." I was in shock; I didn't even try to get out of the water.
"I guess my secrets out now, I'm the same as you." He smirked.
"Same as me?"
"Don't act stupid. You know what I'm talking about." He holds a watch-up similar to mine.
"What are you doing here in my mission?" I stepped out of the water.
"Has anyone seen Taehyun and Soona?" Beomgyu asks looking around.
"Everyone's done except them.." Yeonjun became worried.
"What if they're lost?" Beomgyu says, beginning to worry also.
"Soona and Taehyun hasn't returned?" The teacher asks.
"No." We all shake our heads.
"Form groups of two, go and search for them. We can't leave our classmates out." The teacher ordered.
"I'll go by myself." Beomgyu says, rushing off, leaving Yena and Yeonjun.
"Do you think they're around here?" Yeonjun asks; Yena looked at her watch.
"It's this path and somewhere in the woods..." She points left.
"Guys, I think this is the right way; look at the footprints." Beomgyu caught up to them, pointing down to the two different types of shoe prints.
"You're right, it looks her size." Yena followed the trail with her eyes.
"Ah, You two go ahead, I have to take this call." Yena was shocked to see Miss calling; it only happens at essential times, she couldn't miss it even for this.
Beomgyu and Yeonjun headed off toward the secluded area; they brushed past the trees moving the tree limbs out the way.
They came closer to the area, hearing two voices that belonged to Soona and Taehyun.
"Shhh, get down." Yeonjun pulls Beomgyu down behind the rock.
"I was sent here, what other reason?" Taehyun says.
"There's never more than two people allowed per mission.." Soona says with furrowed eyebrows.
"You caught me, What can I do now?" He says, walking closer to her, her feet stepping back into the water as he edged closer.
Yeonjun was about to stand when Beomgyu kept his shoulder down.
"Go back to where you came from; stop interfering!" Soona says sternly, glaring at him.
"Or else what?" He stepped closer, making the wager up to her shins now.
"You can't do anything to me, but there is a lot I can do to you and your friend. Do you want to know?" He clicks his tongue.
"Get away from me." She steps back but hits a rock in the water, making her fall back into the water ultimately.
"How stupid, Not my problem." He says, disappearing off into the woods again.
Both Yeonjun and Beomgyu stood up; Yeonjun was running toward the opening of trees to the ravine. Yena was running behind them. "Don't go in there. You can-" She failed to finish her sentence.
Yeonjun had already run into the entrance; the barrier knocked him backward on his back.
"Yeonjun!" Yena yelled, rushing forwards, "Beomgyu don't!" She yells out, seeing Beomgyu edging closer toward the entrance; her eyes widen when Beomgyu passed through it.
"What?" She says in shock before adjusting her eyes back to Yeonjun, who was coughing.
"Yeonjun, breathe! Here." She opens the water bottle she had with her trying to get him to drink.
His nose was bloody from the impact, she took off her jacket and allowed him to use it.
"What just happened?" He says with a hoarse voice.
Beomgyu rushes through the trees toward the water; he doesn't bother to take off his shoes. He runs right into the water.
His hand grabs Soona's understand, pulling her from under the water; her eyes meet his in shock.
She expected to see Yena, but she sees Beomgyu in front of her, who just passed through the barrier.
"H-How?" She whispered.
"How what?" Beomgyu asks.
Soona began coughing from water entering her throat; Beomgyu helps her out of the water.
"Calm down, Yeonjun. You hit your head earlier." Yena lied to him.
"I hit my head? that's why? Right.." He believes it; he couldn't remember much from what happened.
"What happened?." Beomgyu asks; Soona was searching for her socks.
"I don't know." She says, catching her breathe coughing now and then.
"I didn't see his face earlier who was he?" Beomgyu asks.
"I-I don't know." Soona was still in shock at how he managed to get into the area.
"Let's go, everyone's looking for you." He helps her stand up, and they meet with the other two.
"Yeonjun? what happened?" Soona sees his bloody nose.
"He was running earlier and hit his head on a tree." Yena winked at Soona to let her know to play along.
"Be careful next time." Soona scolds him.
"What happened you all look shocked and beat up?!" The teacher asks.
"It's a long story but we're fine now. We want to rest." Yena explains.
"Sure go ahead. When you're ready to eat come out for dinner. If you need a nurse, she's intent 12."
"Do you need the nurse?" I ask Yeonjun; He shakes his head no.
"You should lay down and rest. It's been a tough day. Beomgyu take him please." Beomgyu nodded and helped Yeonjun inside the tent.
"Soona, you saw it right?" Yena pulls me inside.
"I did.."
"How? How can he do that?!" She raises her voice.
"I don't know but listen Taehyun is one of us, he's trying to ruin our mission."
" One of us ?! I have to tell miss of this!" She shouted,
"Don't be so loud! I don't know either. Should we alert miss of Beomgyu too?" I whispered.
"How can this be explained? He isn't one of us.. right?" She tries to convince herself.
"I don't think so, but how can he pass through?"
"Check him."
"You know I can't do that Yena."
"Why not?!"
"Because that requires...it requires having to see the body of the person! How can I?!"
"The hot springs! Easy!"
"You want me to check for the symbol in the hot tub?! Do you know how weird that will look?"
"Don't you know where to look for it?"
"It can be anywhere. How Can I check everywhere?!"
"Just check the most places, neck, arms, back, and waist."
"That's weird...I can't." I sighed.
"You can! Just go tonight before we arrive. I'll stale Yeonjun!" Yena presents her idea.
"And if he's not then what?"
"Then we tried at least." She laughed.
"Oh, you might need to use the water on Yeonjun...if he remembers.."
"The forgetful water? That requires a lot of work.. I hope he forgets forever."
"I do too."
"Anyone want to try to find this hot springs?"
"It's been a long day, hot springs would feel nice!" Beomgyu says.
"I agree." Yeonjun added.
"You all have your swimming clothes right?" We all nod our heads.
"Oh hey, I need Yeonjun to help me with something, but you and Beomgyu can go ahead! Here's the map." She handed Beomgyu the map.
"You don't need it?" He asks.
"That one is the copy! Yeonjun come with me." She pulls Yeonjun over toward the canteen area in the woods.
"Let's go then." Beomgyu says with his flashlight.
"It's scary, isn't it?" I say looking around the woods.
"We have each other, it's fine." He says, looking at the map, assuring we are going the correct way.
"Hey earlier, Did you notice anything strange?" Soona questioned him.
"Earlier, Ah I didn't..." He shakes his head.
"That's good, It's so peaceful here." The night sounds were always peaceful.
"I'm glad we're all friends." He smiles.
"Me too, I'm glad I met you both." Soona returns the warm smile.
"What happened earlier? Who was bothering you?" Beomgyu asks.
"Oh that, Someone was just acting crazy and I tripped into the water.." I rubbed my neck feeling awkward.
"Whoever did it, I will surely get revenge." He holds a fist up to the air.
"I'm sure you will." Soona laughs with him.
"Oh look, it was true after all!" He closed the map seeing the springs shortly ahead.
"Wow it was true, there's even solar lights." I walked closer toward the water.
"Let me see how hot it is- Ah! it's a little hot." He jolted his hand backward upon feeling the hot water.
"Don't do that, You have to slowly ease into it." She warned him.
"I'm impatient to wait for them; I want to get inside." He whined.
"Go ahead, I'll wait." I stood awkwardly.
"C-Can you turn away until i'm inside? I don't like taking my shirt off infront of others." He stammered.
"O-Oh sorry yeah! I'll turn here!" I faced to the left, away from him.
Damn, how Can I see now if he had the mark?
The plan was failed unless I somehow peeped at him, but if I'm caught, he'll think I'm some pervert.
I slowly turned a little, so I can cut my eyes at him without actually looking. I hoped he wouldn't notice me doing it; It was Yena fault she was so adamant about knowing.
She slowly took his shirt off, revealing his upper body; Ok let's just quickly look, that's all.
My eyes quickly scanned , Neck? Not that I can see. Arms? I don't see any.
Waist? It was hard to see from my angle, but I guessed it was none.
It must be hidden, I couldn't see his back yet..
I shifted my eyes around toward the trees, "I'm done now." He says already in the water
"That's fast."
"We're here!" Yena says tagging Yeonjun along.
"Wow you're already in! Is it nice?" She asks Beomgyu.
"It's verryyyyy hot~!" He sings.
"Oh Yeonjun go ahead and get inside. I have to discuss something private with Soona. " Yena pulls me away off into the distance and hides behind the trees.
"did you see anything?" She asks.
"No I didn't get a good look.." She sighed at my response.
"Sorry.."
"Let's wait here and see what they do." She crouched down peering from the tree, I sat next to her.
Yeonjun was already inside the hot springs sitting across from Beomgyu.
"Come on sit closer." Yena whined.
"Give it time!" I slapped her shoulder.
"How's your nose?" Beomgyu asks.
"My nose? Oh it's fine now." Yeonjun says touching his nose.
"I'm glad, Do you have any idea who was with Soona earlier?"
"No, I don't. It was hard to remember after I fell.." He rubbed his head.
"I'm sorry if I made you angry recently.." Beomgyu speaks.
"I'm not angry."
"I mean before, You didn't want to speak to me after that day."
"That..It's past I was just having a bad week.. sorry." Yeonjun apologized.
"Can I ask you something?" Beomgyu looks up toward him.
"Sure, what is it?"
"Do you like anyone?" This question makes Yeonjun go into deep thought, he sits up before answering.
"Yes."
"Can I ask who? I have a idea already.." Beomgyu looks at him with a tilted head.
"I can't say." Yeonjun withholds his answer.
"Oh, It's fine."
"What about you? Do you like anyone? Maybe Soona , Yena or is it possible Taehyun?" Yeonjun says making Beomgyu nervously clear his throat.
"I don't like Taehyun, he's my friend." Beomgyu avoids the other options.
"I'm certain Taehyun likes you, i've seen the way he looks.. So Has Yena." Yeonjun added.
"I don't feel it, even if he does I don't feel the same, I don't like...I don't like him.." He sighed.
"I won't force you to answer..sorry." Yeonjun looks away.
"I'll only answer if you answer." Beomgyu looks at him.
"If I answer? Are you sure?" Yeonjun smirked.
"Promise." Beomgyu holds his pinky finger out and moves to sit beside Yeonjun in the water.
Yeonjun was hesitant but Wrapped his pinky finger around his.
"I'll tell you first." Beomgyu says looking toward him, Yeonjun's eyes flicker around his face.
"Oh my!" Yena slaps my arm in anticipation.
"Ouch!" I grab her hand stopping her and shushing her.
She takes her phone out and presses record.
"Be careful with that." I warned her.
"Who is it?" Yeonjun becomes anxious wanting to know if it was the same person he thought of.
"This person is.." Beomgyu trailed off in a teasing way.
"Yah! tell me!" Yeonjun becomes even more anxious to know.
"Do it do it do it!" Yena whispers behind her phone.
"The person is.." He teased again, Yeonjun glared.
Beomgyu got closer to Yeonjun's face so close that they could feel each other's breathe apart from the steam of the springs.
"Omg, it's happening." Yena squeezes my arm.
"God sake Yena." Soona tries to remove her grip.
Beomgyu's eyes looked down toward Yeonjun's lips, Yeonjun was darting his eyes around his face before looking at his lips as well. Beomgyu began to get closer as he was sudden voice rang out.
"Hey guys! Where's the others?!" Taehyun came from nowhere; Beomgyu and Yeonjun backed away so fast that Beomgyu fell under the water; he came up wiping his eyes.
"Woah are you okay?" Taehyun laughed.
"What are you doing here?" Yeonjun asked.
"I came to see the hot springs!"
"Yo Taehyun, my buddy! I was waiting for you come on let's discuss!" Yena slings a arm around him pulling him away from the area.
Perfect timing Yena.
Soona watched from behind the tree, she was relived when Yena pulled the evil one away.
"Sorry, I got carried away." Beomgyu says, rubbing his eye.
"Are you okay?" Yeonjun says moving the wet hair out of Beomgyu's face.
"I'm fine." He says, finally able to open his eyes again.
"I told you he likes you." Yeonjun muttered.
"What? He doesn't. Maybe he likes you." Beomgyu joked.
"No!" Yeonjun's hand splashed against the water, making it fly upwards and landing back on top of them.
"Someone's mad!" Beomgyu laughed.
"You!" Yeonjun trod in the water, chasing him around.
Beomgyu was struggling to move against the water as Yeonjun grabbed his shoulder, pulling him backward.
Beomgyu's face turned toward Yeonjun's, Yeonjun's eyes stared at him deeply. They both were chest-high in the water, staring at each other.
"There person I like.." Beomgyu began to speak.
"It's not you." He whispered before backing away; Yeonjun's eyebrows became lowered. He was angry he was joking around not telling the truth to him even now.
Beomgyu goes to turn, but Yeonjun grabbed his arm and pulled him closer to him.
"We'll see if you like me after this." Yeonjun suddenly came closer to his face, Beomgyu's eyes widened in nervousness.
Yeonjun places his fingers onto Beomgyu's face as he went closer and closer until, eventually, his lips were pressed against Beomgyu's.
Soona's face became red as she hid behind the tree; Yena was busy distracting Taehyun till he finally left.
She returned to the tree, her eyes widening. She started smacking Soona in excitement.
Soona then began returning the slaps.
"Y-You.." Beomgyu spoke, processing what just happened.
"Me? I know. I like you too." Yeonjun says smugly.
