“But my surname is Nan.” I pointed out the problem.

“So, it is all because of this Tong Family’s rule?” I asked timidly.

My little uncle sighed, “It’s more complicated than that. It has to do with your mother as well. When she was still alive, she has already made the announcement that you would inherit all of her asset and wealth.”

I was shocked, “Does this mean that my mother was very rich?”

My little uncle nodded. “Richer than you can possibly imagine.”

“So I was using my own money to feed myself all these years?”

My little uncle smacked me softly, “Of course not! I was the one supporting you all these years! Your inheritance can only be touched after you’re of legal age! That is why even though Nan Feng doesn’t like you, he has to keep you around. He wants to consume your wealth! Do you understand it now?”

I looked at Jing Tian in astonishment.

Jing Tian nodded. “Everyone in the underworld knows that you are your mother’s most precious treasure. There is a rumor that says that the man who marries you will be able to rule over the underworld. Your little uncle spent a great deal of effort to conceal your whereabouts so you would be spared from the underworld fights, however you have chosen to expose yourself instead, it was why he was so mad. I was shocked. So that was why I was married to Jing Ning in my previous life? I was kicked around after they had taken what they needed from me.

My little uncle saw my worried expression and he comforted, “Don’t worry, I’ll look after you now.”

I turned to him. “Little uncle, since I’m a member of the Tong Family, then the money my mother left for me should go to the Tong Family. I only need you to support my accommodation, food and study.”

My little uncle glared at me. “What nonsense, those money is your mother’s present for you! It is not considered a part of the Tong Family! And before you’re married, of course I’ll support you.” He glanced at Jing Tian, “If you don’t ever get married, then I will take care of you for life!”

I nodded. “Little uncle, I want people to marry me for me, not for my money. So I want to give it to the Tong Family!”

My little uncle’s eyes widened and Jing Tian laughed.

I looked at the two men. “What? You disagree? You’d prefer someone marry me for my wealth or marry me because he loves me? Little uncle, I’d rather you have the money. Find me an aunt, give birth to more children and use the money to raise them. If you ask me, that’s the best way to utilize those money!”
