"No way! You punched him?" Lily exclaims with a shocked expression. We are walking back from the library towards our common room. We both had some studying to do so we decided to do it together.
"Yup" I adjust my grip on my bag as I grin. "I'll do it again if anyone touches me without my consent. He's a prick, really! Wouldn't stop bothering me." I huff recalling the memory. Boys are really immature sometimes.
The redhead grins taking few steps forward so she could be in front of me. She starts walking backwards so she could see my face. "Oh I would've loved to see that! But really, these boys have to control themselves, they can't go around thinking they own the place. I would love to punch some of them myself."
We both start laughing. It would be great to punch some sense into some of them. Really, they think that they're all that.
We continue laughing until Lily pumps into somebody. Not seeing where she was going because she was backwards.
I look up, enough to see the persons robes. They were Slytherin robes. Gosh, I hope that it's a nice one, I have met some Slytherins who make my blood boil *cough* Lucius Malfoy *cough*.
I lift my head so I can see the persons face, which was already looking at Lily. Of course, it's Snape. He turns and looks at me with an annoyed and disgusted face. He turns back towards Lily with a smile.
Me and Snape haven never talked actually. Unless you count talking as all the times he has cussed me out for pranking him. I haven't done anything bad to him, just some pranks, nothing major. But, I think he hates me, because the marauders are my bestfriends.
Oh yeah, the marauders have made his life here living hell. They have jinxed him, hexed him and all other stuff. One time last year they dyed his hair pink for 5 days somehow, pretty impressive actually. I have participated in some of the pranks, but only few.
"Hi Lily!" He smiles at the redhead, not paying any attention to me, like I'm just a brick wall. "Hey Severus! What are you doing here?" Lily asks swinging on her heels back and forth. "Just walking around, clearing my head. What are you doing with..." He looks over Lily's shoulder at me. I stare back at him hands crossed on my chest "that thing" he finishes his sentence.
My mouth falls slightly open in shock of his sudden braveness. I scoff and roll my eyes, about to go off but Lily quickly injects.
"She's not a thing Severus, be nice. She's a very lovely girl named Y/N, and I would appreciate if you would call her by her name. Okay?" Lily also crosses her arms and stares at Snape.
I smile towards her direction even though she can't see it.
Snape rolls his eyes and sighs "Fine, whatever. But you didn't answer my question." He smiles again towards Lily.
"We were studying in the library and just left. But, we will be going now, we have things to do." Lily replies taking my hand in hers and starts to pull me with her. "Bye Severus."
Snape mumbles a quick goodbye to her. I make sure to bump into his shoulder when passing him, grinning to myself.
We walk for few seconds before I speak up. "Well, this was kind of rude, don't you think?" I bump my shoulder with Lily's.
"I'm sorry, it wasn't nice of him. I think he's just mad at James and Sirius, and because you're close with them, he's also mad at you. Plus, you've played some pranks on him." She explains.
"Touché. Nah, it's fine, I really don't care what he thinks about me. But, I would've liked to say something to him before you cut me off." I grin at her.
She laughs lightly and shakes her head "And have you punch another boy today? I think not. You will get detention if you get caught!"
"It was self defense. If he would've taken a simple no for an answer and walked away, it wouldn't have happened." I defend myself.
"Whatever. Just don't get in too much trouble, okay?" She warns making eye contact with me. "Eh, I won't make any promises, we'll just see that with time." I joke.
Lily shakes her head smiling. "Of course, of course."
We reach the portrait, say the password and step in. I can already hear familiar laughter and voices. Lily rolls her eyes. She doesn't like James, Sirius and Peter very much, because they prank people and can be annoying. She likes Remus the most, they even study together sometimes.
In the common room are the four boys laying on the couches, laughing seemingly at everything. There are few other people also in the common room, but they are clearly irritated by the their behavior.
Sirius sits up and notices me and Lily entering. "Oi, Evans and Y/L! Come join us!"
This catches the other threes attention and they turn around.
"Wow, are we back on the last name basis, Black?" I raise my eyebrow at him jokingly.
"Come on Y/N/N, we have plenty of room here for you and Evans." James chimes in trying to get us to hangout with them.
"I will skip and head upstairs. I don't know about Y/N though." She shrugs looking at me.
I think for a second before deciding. "I'll join Lily upstairs. You can have fun down here yourselves." I make up my mind and turning towards the stairs.
I hear Remus and Peter say quick goodnights.
"What, you're not fun at all! Why won't you stay?" James groans not happy with my answer.
"Look out James. Don't pressure her too much or you will get punched." Sirius teased.
"And knowing James, he wouldn't be able to handle it also. He'll be sent to the hospital wing." Remus quipped starting to laugh with Sirius and Peter.
Me and Lily also giggle at Remus's remark.
"That's so not true! I could take a punch easily. You three are the ones who couldn't" James glares at the boys and starts arguing with them.
Me and Lily just laugh and head upstairs.
