Chapter 50: ~49~6th Hour Trouble

OverprotectiveWords: 18590

"So what are you thinking?" I was partially awakened by two sets of voices talking.

"I don't know. Honestly. I feel like I am just waiting for her to do something next." I tried to ignore what sounded like Jason's voice, and go back to sleep. What time was it anyway?

"Yeah."

"We'll talk about this later, though. I have to head in early today." There was some movement and a door opening. "Okay, I will make sure they get to school."

"Yeah, make sure to remind Lisa to carry her inhaler, and give her some pain meds if she needs them." Since I couldn't flip over because of my arm, I resorted to bringing the blanket up higher on me to block the talking.

"I know. I got it, Jason." There was a chuckle and some more movement. "I know, I know. I stress too much. "

"What you need is a vacation."

"Don't we all?" There was another chuckle followed by the zipping up of a bag. "See ya bro." Then a door closed. I stirred as I felt the bed dip. The covers were adjusted, temporarily replacing the warmth that covered me, with cold air. I felt an arm on my shoulder as the person kept moving.

The constant movement was starting to get really annoying as I was trying to sleep. I groaned when the person moved again. "Sorry," the person whispered finally stopping. I smiled as I was finally able to fall back asleep.

That was until the person started moving again. I groaned and opened my eyes to see Jacob after adjusting my eyes to the darkness. "What are you doing?" I mumbled. "I'm sorry sweetie. Go back to sleep," he said finally settling on a position. I snuggled up to his warm body and fell back into the amazing world of slumber.

I got into the back of Dylan's car, carrying an apple and my shoes. When I woke up this morning Jacob was out like a shoe. Therefore, no one woke me up, because Jason was gone. So I was once again rushed.

And with a cast on, it was twice as hard. "Finally. You know you take longer and longer each day to get ready. You are becoming more like a girl," Justin said after I closed the door. "Okay, first of all, that's stereotyping, and second of all everyone refused to wake me!" I said shouting at the end. I was getting fed up with this.

"How about you invest in an alarm," Grayson said with a smug smirk on his face. "I'll show you an alarm," I mumbled trying to put on my shoe.

"Oh? Spicy I think I like the idea of tha-"

"I will throw you out of this car right now and not feel one bit of regret," Dylan cut him off, briefly glaring at him. "Why is he even still your friend? If it were some other guy who said that, he would be dead," I said now working on my other foot.

"Its because I have earned the rights," Grayson said. I could see him inch closer to the door to avoid the potential beating from Dylan. "So if I bring a guy home, can he earn the rights?" I asked, putting emphasis on the latter.

"No," everyone in the car said at the exact same time. I put my one hand up in surrender. "Geesh. I had a feeling that was going to happen." I mumbled biting into my apple. Liam is going to need a miracle whenever its time for him to meet my brothers. Which hopefully, might never happen.

"Its because I trust him not to actually do anything," Dylan said glancing at me through the rearview mirror. "He can be stupid at times, but he is not that stupid," he continued. "Wow, I am really feeling the love here," Grayson said rolling his eyes.

"Ha ha, whatever," Dylan retorted pulling into the schools parking lot. He parked the car and locked the doors. "Are you going to do this every day we go to school?" I asked rolling my eyes. "Only if one of you are always getting into some sort of situation that I am forced to talk to you about," he said turning around in his seat.

"And today's lecture?" Justin asked blatantly. "Try not to get into any fights with teachers," Dylan finished. "Man, I remember when you were still playing with little Lego figures, now you are trying to beat up teachers," Grayson commented wiping away a fake tear.

"Uum, what do you mean? He still does that," I said. "Yeah, I just saw him yesterday," Dylan said to Grayson. " Justin groaned tightening his backpack. "Can we go now? You guys are annoying."

"Yeah, you can go now," Dylan said unlocking the doors. I got out and, using my good arm slung my bag over my shoulder. I walked with Justin to my locker where I put in my combination and got my books for my first hour.

"You know I wasn't going to actually fight him right?" Justin asked taking my books from me. I shrugged. "I don't know. I heard certain videogames can make you pretty violent, and from what I hear sometimes when you are up in your room, I don't doubt it."

"Come on!"

"Hey, I am just stating the truth. Did you want me to lie?" I asked looking up at him. He grumbled something and placed my books in my classroom. When we walked back out, I bumped into my friends.

"Way to wait for us, Lisa," Aerial said shaking her head in disapproval at me. I blushed a little and started walking with them. "My bad."

"Yeah, that's all she has to say," Sarah said. "Anyway. I'm gonna leave now," Justin said breaking off from the group. "What's his deal?" Anna asked. "Just something that happened yesterday after school. He is still hung up about it," I said.

"How does he not have a girlfriend? He is so hot!" Aerial said looking back into the direction he just went. I scrunched my face up in disgust. "If that's what you think, you have terrible taste in guys," I said.

"Oh please. Surely you have to agree."

"You know, now that you said it, he is kind of cute," I said looking at her. "You see now right?" she asked looking at me with hopeful eyes. I shook my head once again. "I am kidding! He is my brother. On the look factor, he is probably right next to a blobfish," I said with as much disgust in my voice as I can muster.

She rolled her eyes and continued walking. "Whatever. No one ever sees what I see," she mumbled. "Don't worry about her. She didn't get her daily dose of fries yet," Anna said rubbing her friends back.

I let out a small laugh and looked around. I realized that one person was missing. "Where is Lucas?" I asked Sarah. "Oh, he was sick today. So he took the day off.

"-That is why the anatomy is so important." Our anatomy teacher was droning on and on about the importance of the anatomy. I thought I would fall out of my seat with how boring it was. Justin was also unusually quiet. No witty remarks, he wasn't constantly bothering me. It was actually a little scary.

He was so out of character. Once in a while, I would catch him and the teacher having a small stare off, when they thought no one was watching. I was honestly starting to get concerned for Justin. If this little feud between them didn't stop soon, someone might get hurt.

"Now, I would like for you all to pull out your homework." My eyes widened as I remembered that I didn't do it. I was so preoccupied with all of yesterdays events that I forgot to do it. The teacher went around the class and took everyone's homework, then he stopped at Justin and I's table.

I glanced up at his already disapproving look. "And where might yours be?" he asked looking down at me. Great, I hated all of this attention. The entire class was. "U-um I didn't do it?" I said more like a question.

"And why not?"

"It's none of your business. She said she didn't do it," Justin said. Uh-oh. I looked between Justin and the teacher. "Justin chill," I whispered over to him. "Is that so? Then you both have detention after school," he said walking away.

Who does this teacher think he is? God himself? I am going to have to talk to the principal about this. This is ridiculous, he is going to be hearing from Jason. Luckily, Justin didn't say anything and only glared at him.

He looked just about ready to go up there and give him a piece of his mind. "Don't do anything stupid, Justin," I reminded him just in case. Class went by slower than before and what was probably 5 minutes felt like another hour.

~Overprotective~

I walked out of my final hour and went to my locker. I was met with Sarah, Aerial, and Anna. "Finally, so Lisa, you know how last time we didn't hang out when we were supposed to?" Sarah asked. I nodded and typed in my combination.

"Well, if you are available we were going to 'The Pizza Place' this afternoon," she continued. "And you have to join us because we have some serious tea to spill," Aerial said. I smiled at the offer but quickly frowned.

"Sorry guys. I swear I am not blowing you guys off every time you ask to go somewhere. It's just poor timing. I have detention," I said looking at their disappointed looks. "It's fine. But what I don't understand is how someone like you gets detention," Anna said raising an eyebrow.

"Yeah, you are like goody-two shoes," Sarah added. "It's never my fault!" I exclaimed. I closed my locker and walked to Dylan's car. I had to tell him that I had detention. "Oh okay. You are one of those in denial," Aerial said nodding slowly.

"It's okay. That would probably be me too," she said laughing. "No, I mean. It's the teacher. It's like he has something personal against Justin and I," I said. "He barely pays attention to the other kids."

"Well, did you tell the principal?" Anna asked. "I am about to. I don't know if anything will happen though." I said. Aerial slung her arm around my shoulder. "That's part of the struggles of school," She said looking up into the sky. I laughed and shook my head.

"Yeah? Well, school sucks."

I got to Dylan's car to see only him and Grayson. Dylan gave me a confused look when he didn't see Justin or my backpack. I walked over to the driver's side and waited for him to roll the windows down.

"What are you doing? Where is Justin?" he asked. "We sort of have detention," I said slowly. "Yeah, but it's not her fault," Sarah chimed in looking at him. "And you are?" Dylan trailed off looking at her.

"This is Sarah. One of my friends, remember?"

Dylan thought for a moment before his eyes lit up. "Oh right."

"Anyway. How did you and Justin get another detention?" he asked giving me a semi disapproving look.

"Wait, you got detention?" Grayson asked just now hearing the conversation. "Hey! It wasn't my fault remember?" I said. He playfully rolled his eyes and Dylan started the car.

"Alright. I will tell Jason then. You better have a good excuse. Cause he is not going to be too happy," he said. Oh, I knew that. But hopefully, after I explained, he would understand. I nodded. "Jacob will most likely pick you up, cause I am going out," he said bouncing his eyebrows.

"Can I come?" Aerial mumbled, but I think Dylan heard. "Uuh-"

"Anyway, bye," I said walking away with everyone. "Make sure you have your inhaler!" he shouted before driving off. "Aerial, control yourself," Anna said giving her friend a disapproving look. "What!? It's not my fault, all of her brothers are godly hot," she said dreamily.

I scrunched my face up in disgust. "Anyway, bye guys," I said waving them off as I went to the detention room. They waved bye and left for the front of the school.

I already have two detentions on my school record in the span of the first two weeks of school. That is so out of my character and is definitely bugging me. Sarah was right. I am a goody-two-shoes. I had to have good grades and a perfect record and these detentions aren't going to look perfect on my record.

I walked into the room to see a good much of people. Justin was sat closer towards the back of the class talking to his friend. I sat in the seat behind him and pulled out my notebook. "Nice of you to make it. For a second I thought you were going to ditch," Justin said smirking at me.

He seemed in a much better mood than earlier. Which is weird. "What did you do?" I asked slowly, looking at him and his giddy friend. "Nothing spectacular. You will see," he said. He kept looking towards the door as if he was waiting on someone.

"Justin! Are you trying to get expelled or something?" I asked looking at him with wide eyes. "Oh he isn't going to do that," his friend, I am assuming, said. "If you did something stupid. I am going to get into trouble!" I exclaimed.

"Don't worry about it. Just sit back and enjoy the show," he said. I wanted so badly to punch him and his friend in the face. I decided not to waste my breath anymore and sat back in my seat. Whatever concoction Justin came up with, better not get himself and me expelled.

Actually, if it were just him I would be fine with it.

I cautiously watched as our anatomy teacher walked inside of the classroom. He surveyed the room and it almost looked like he smiled when he saw Justin and I. This was definitely like a hobby to him. I watched as he walked towards his desk and sat in his chair.

Then he was on the floor.

The entire class burst out laughing as the once put together chair was now in pieces on the floor along with the teacher. I admit I was laughing too, but when he got up I stopped as fast as you can say the word I.

To say he looked furious would be the biggest understatement of the century. He was beyond angry. He closed and his eyes, and seemingly counted to ten. "Whose idea was this?" he asked. Justin and his friend were too busy cracking up to see the teacher stop directly in front of their desk.

"Is something the matter?" Justin asked smirking. This boy was thirsty for an expulsion. Like did he not care at all? "You two come with me. NOW!" He was obviously ticked off. Most people were either on their phones or watching the scene as if it were a movie.

"What for?" Justin asked with a smirk on his face. When Jason hears about this, he is going to be over the moon and not in a good way. The teacher suddenly stormed out of the classroom. "You have done it now, Justin," I mumbled shaking my head.

"You have really done it."

I waited in silence to see if the teacher was going to come back in. Justin just sat back in his chair and started playing on his phone. As if he didn't have a care in the world what was going to happen.

"I swear you are so dumb. It's like you are asking for trouble. Why can't you just be a good student? Why do you have to rile him up?" I asked looking at him. "I don't know, it seemed fun at the moment," he said scratching the back of his head.

"I hope you are realizing the error of your ways," I said. He rolled his eyes and grumbled something. The teacher walked back in with the principal. He was still very angry. You can definitely tell by the look on his face.

With a shaky finger, he pointed towards Justin and his friend. "Take those two out of here. I don't care what you do with them. Just get rid of them!" He exclaimed. He looked like a child who was denied candy.

The principal walked towards us and looked at the culprits. "Come on sons. Let's go on a walk," he said placing his hands on their necks. Justin's friend actually looked scared and Justin did too. Just a little.

I actually did like the principal of this school. He was like a father figure to many other kids, and he was more of a listener instead of a talker. So maybe he can solve this entire situation. We may even get a new anatomy teacher.

The principal walked them out, and now I was all alone in the back of the classroom. Perfect. Maybe I can actually get that homework done now. I could see the teacher trying to fix his chair, before giving up on it.

I did feel the least bit bad for him. But maybe he shouldn't have been such a jerk of a teacher. At the same time though, Justin should not have done that. I  sighed and leaned back in my seat to endure the torture of the next hour.

Halfway through and Justin still hadn't come back. Either the principal took them to some amusement park to have fun, or they were still being lectured. I wondered where he took them. I raised my hand to get the teachers attention.

"Excuse me, Can I use the restroom?" I asked. He looked at me for a solid 30 seconds. "Why?"

I gave him an incredulous look. "Nevermind, then," I said giving him a weird look. What kind of teacher asks their student why they need to go to the bathroom? I guess he was still ticked off about earlier.

Another 20 minutes through detention and Justin had yet to come back to class. It seems that they went on a vacation. What a shame, cause I would have like to go too. It was so boring. Most of the kids were either sleeping or secretly on their phones. I was tempted to go on my phone as well, but knowing the relationship between the teacher and I, I didn't test it.

Detention was finally over and I couldn't get out of the class any faster, but before I could leave the teacher stopped me. I internally rolled my eyes. What could he possibly want from me now? I turned around and waited for him to speak.

"I would like to speak with a guardian of yours tomorrow," he said looking at me. "Okay?" I said. If he wanted to speak with Jason, he could just call him. He looked at me as if expecting me to say something more. "Is that all?" I asked.

He kept looking at the clock then at me. "Actually, one more thing," he said. He walked over to the door, blocking it. "I am sorry for the way I have been acting. It's just, I had your brother Dylan, and he was a nightmare, and then you and Justin came in and he was exactly like him, so I automatically classed the both of you."

I nodded taking in the information. I guess that would explain most of it. "Okay, I guess I understand. My brothers can be.....a hassle," I said. He nodded briefly then moved away from the door.

"Well, you have a good day," he said smiling at me. The way his mood and demeanor changed was kind of scary. It was like watching two-face. I briefly smiled at him and walked out of the class faster than Usain Bolt.

I quickly got my bookbag and threw my books in there. When I rounded the corner, I bumped into the one person I thought I wouldn't have to see again.
