THE SILENT LOVE ...Chapter 93 :Swetha’s heart was thumping rapidly with the thought of having love towards Sreekar. She felt like floating on the sky with all the  emotions she was going through while recollecting his interaction with her  for the past few days. The way he rescued her from disgrace, the way he avenged her humiliation, the way  he held her tightly after aiding her from the death, everything made her heart flutter, feeling ecstatic, believing that he too loves her. She remembered the way he looked at her while interacting closely with Arjun and realized that he was jealous to see her with another man.She immediately took her mobile and checked for his number to inform about her father’s proposal only to realize she didn’t have it. She felt disappointed for not having it and kept thinking of all the incidents that happened between them.Swetha, who was engrossed in the thoughts of Sreekar, suddenly remembered Lalitha and felt like a storm rising in her heart. Sreekar was engaged to a woman and here she was  thinking of him. How can she like a person who is already committed to someone. All  her  dreams shattered by reality and felt downhearted to endure the heartbreak before it  could  blossom.Swetha couldn’t endure the pain of departing from  Sreekar and kept  sobbing throughout the night. She didn’t understand how and when  she had started having feelings towards Sreekar. She wished that she would have not realized her feelings only to endure this agony. She believed that she  was out of his reach with the differences  they had in their status, wealth and fame. Being a  country girl, how could she be a match to  the person who carries himself as an idol of masculinity. Only women like Lalitha who could carry an elegant, graceful classic and distinguished demeanor would match his status.With all the emotions that were swirling in her heart, Swetha slept late at night and couldn’t wake up early. Upon hearing the knock on the door, She opened her eyes and realized that she overslept by seeing the sunlight illuminating from the window. She rose to her feet and  went to the door and opened it after arranging her hair and dress.“Swetha! Are you okay?”, enquired Archana, who stood  outside the door.Swetha gave a faint smile to her and  answered,“Yes sister in law! I am fine. I just overslept. I will be down in half an hour”.After completing her daily routine, Swetha went down and saw Archana’s parents waiting at the dining table to have breakfast with her. She felt  guilty for making them wait and also  nervous with their presence. She reached the table and wished everyone.Ambika, mother  of Archana, gave a warm smile and said,“Come Swetha. Have a seat by my side. We were waiting for you”.Swetha, without uttering a single word, sat beside Ambika while lowering her head. She could sense the upcoming storm in her life.Everyone completed their breakfast and went to the living room and started to have their conversation.Swetha tried to ignore them and strolled towards the staircase to go into her room but her father’s voice made her halt in her steps.“Swetha! Come here. They have come to learn about your consent for the marriage. Come here”, called Balaramaiah.Swetha slowly went towards them and stood beside her father lowering her head while fiddling with her fingers. She felt to disappear from the place to escape from everything that was going to happen.“Ambika sister! My daughter will not go against my decision. She will surely accept the marriage. As you are willing to hear it from her, I don’t deny you people asking her”, encouraged Balaramaiah.Ambika smiled at him, went near Swetha, raised her head by holding her chin and queried,“Swetha! It’s a fortune to get a daughter in law like you who is beautiful, well cultured, generous and who values relationships. Kamal wished to have a wife like you who had all these qualities. Would you like to marry my son?”.Swetha couldn’t utter a single word as her breath got hitched in her throat controlling the sob that was escaping from her mouth. She wants to scream that she doesn’t want to marry Kamal and she never felt any feelings towards him. But the nurturing of Balaramaiah made her not to raise her voice at elders or going against them and kept quiet while lowering her head.“Don’t feel shy, Swetha! Tell me what your heart says. I am not compelling you”, coaxed Ambika who doesn’t want to rush the things.“Mother! Keeping quiet is a signal for their acceptance. Swetha will surely deny the proposal if she doesn’t like it. You don’t compel her to tell it aloud when she is feeling embarrassed to speak in front of everyone”, stated Archana.Ambika's face lit up with hope and queried,“Swetha! Do you really accept this marriage? Shall we make all the arrangements to claim you as our daughter in law?”.Swetha raised her eyelashes and stared at Ambika in puzzlement which made Ambika chuckle and replied,“Your father wants some time for the marriage to make it a grand event, you  being only daughter. So we want to engage you with Kamal to make the society aware of you as our daughter in law”.Swetha was baffled with her words and she wanted to deny it then and there. Her heart screams to protest their plans but her brain was holding her from the outburst. She was expecting Sreekar’s arrival who can save her from this situation being the knight of her life. Though she is aware of him being engaged with Lalitha, her heart believes that he is the only one who can save her from this critical situation. Her heart was exploding like a volcano and tears were threatening to come out of her eyes. Unable to control her emotions, Swetha ran away from there which was mistaken to be shy by everyone.Before she could reach the steps, Gautham’s shocking voice made her halt in her steps and whirled back to see him.“Oh my goodness! Mom! See Sreekar had officially come out about his engagement with Lalitha. His mother was posting about their engagement to be happenned within a short period on social media. At last he was going to get married with his childhood friend who was destined for him”, shriek Gautham while looking into his mobile.Mahalaxmi and Krishna Kumar glanced at Gautham and queried,“Really! Is that true? Thank God! At last he was going to settle in his life after going through all the hurdles”.“Yes Mom! Yes dad! Really they were going to get engaged. Otherwise his mother would not come into public with that news”, chirped Gautham feeling delighted for his friend.
