THE SILENT LOVE ...Chapter 73 :Swetha’s heart shattered beyond her expectations by hearing his words. She acknowledges the meaning behind his words being aware of his trauma and inner turmoil he went through. She realized that he mistook the situation for seeing her and Arjun in such a condition and assumed her to be the gold digger.She wants to scream and tell him the truth that she is not the one he thinks of. But remembering Rasi hiding in the room, controlled her urge to tell him the truth thinking of the consequences that Rasi’s family will go through after learning of her relationship with Arjun.Feeling helpless, Swetha endured the pain that was rising in her heart and stared at Sreekar with tear filled eyes showing her vulnerability. Sreekar was not in a state of empathizing her  anguish as his heart felt betrayed which he was not able to carry. His heart was exploding like a volcano witnessing her affair with Arjun. He kept glaring at her with his menacing looks while keeping the finger pointing towards her.Arjun, realizing that the total incident drove Sreekar into wrong assumptions and tried to pursue him by telling the truth.“Sir …! Please don’t assume …”, before Arjun could complete his sentence, Sreekar spun his head towards Arjun giving him a deadly look which made Arjun shut his mouth instantly.Sreekar was so enraged that he wished to rip Arjun into pieces but controlled his temper and averted his eyes towards Swetha. He gave her a disgusting look and turned back on his heels heading towards the outside leaving the flat followed by Deepak. Deepak gave a dejected and disappointed look at Swetha before leaving the flat.Swetha felt like her total world was collapsed by seeing his contempt look. She layed on the floor for a while feeling numb experiencing Sreekar’s disdain towards her.Swetha came into her senses when Arjun crouched beside her placing his hand on her shoulder. She whirled her head towards him and her eyes started streaming continuously, unable to carry out such a humiliation.“Sweths! Please don’t cry. I will speak to him and make him understand the reality”, assured Arjun while caressing Swetha’s back who was lying in his arms.Swetha wiped her uncontrolable tears and shook her head in denial. “No! You will not do that. You will keep your mouth shut till we complete our exams. I don’t want to have any disturbances in Rasi’s family at the time of exams. I can’t see my aunt and uncle in distress. Please, promise me that you will keep quiet till we complete the exams”, pleaded Swetha.Arjun hesitated for a while and replied in a dejected voice,“Sweths! I can’t see you getting slandered for our mistake. I can’t see you in pain”.Swetha glanced at Arjun and rebuked,“Don’t dare to say your love for each other is a mistake. Hiding it from elders is the only mistake we made but not the love you both have for each other. I can endure the pain for the sake of you both for a while. I am not complaining about it. You don’t get upset thinking of my agony. It will stay only for a short while, which means nothing for me”.Arjun helped her to stand on her feet and also to adjust her dress which got teared because of him earlier. She cleared her face not showing any tear stains and kept a straight face hiding her inner turmoil thinking of Sreekar’s condition.“Ajju! Don’t let Rasi know about the incident that happened here. She will not control herself from confronting her brother if she comes to know about his doings. Let us maintain that nothing had happened and cover up with some story. Okay?”, suggested Swetha.Arjun glanced at Swetha who was hiding her pain behind her eyes and held her hands while apologizing,“Sweths! I should not have planned to bring Rasi here. I dragged you into the mess and made you get cornered by him though you are not at fault”.Swetha patted his hand which was holding hers and assured,“No Ajju! Don’t say that. Initially I was frightened and shocked by seeing him. I am not affected by his doings or his words. He cares for me as his best friend's sister. He was disappointed thinking of me wrongly. Once the truth comes out he will learn that he was at fault. Don’t get upset unnecessarily”.After composing themselves, both went to the bedroom and opened the washroom door allowing Rasi to  come out of it.“What the hell is happening? How did my brother come here? How did he know about this place?”, yelled Rasi while shifting her gazes between Arjun and Swetha.“Might be someone from the college has informed your brother. I got to know from someone and rushed over here to inform you people. I was only a few minutes earlier from him, otherwise you would get caught by him. Thank god, you should be  careful from now onwards, explained Swetha.Rasi held Swetha’s hands and enquired,“How did you manage him to leave the place without seeing me?”.Swetha gave a faint smile and replied,”He saw me and assumed that I was with Arjun. He left the place in a rage. I am anticipating that he will inform my Gautham brother”.Rasi glanced at her feeling guilty and apologized,“Sweths! Sorry for dragging you into this mess”.Swetha shook her head and gave a warm smile encouraging her  not to feel guilty. After a while, they all reached the  parking lot and observed the surroundings for Sreekar’s presence. Once they were sure that he was not there in the nearby surroundings, Arjun drove them to their   destination.Swetha asked   him to stop when they were a few meters away from their house. She convinced him of taking an auto to their house. Arjun instantly accepted her request and called an auto which was passing by them and helped them to get into the auto. Arjun being depressed about the earlier incident couldn’t interact with Swetha and Rasi feeling guilty.Rasi, who was unaware  of the earlier incident, complained about his gloomy behavior  which annoyed Arjun and asked them to leave immediately, promising to meet her for the next day. Once they were away from Arjun, Rasi enquired Swetha about Arjun’s behavior.“Sweths! Did my Sreekar brother say anything to Arjun? Why is he looking so disturbed?”.Swetha, hiding her misery, gave a warm smile to her and replied,“No Rasi! He didn’t say anything to Ajju. But Ajju was  shocked to see him there and got disturbed. Dont worry. He will be normal by tomorrow”.They both reached their destination and went to their respective houses. Swetha directly went to her room, locked it from inside and fell on to the bed releasing all her pain which she was holding for a long time sobbing vigorously while hiding her  face in the pillow.She kept sobbing for a long time  remembering his words and the disgusting look he gave before leaving. Her heart was not accepting him to think of her as a  slut and wishes to clarify all the  wrong assumptions he felt about her. She was  not able to understand why her heart was aching, for getting portrayed as a  bad woman in his eyes.She doesn’t have any idea how long she cried for but her pillow was totally drenched in her tears before she went to sleep.Sreekar, after leaving Arjun’s flat, headed towards his car with a rage exuding the  dangerous aura around him. Deepak, who followed him feeling petrified with his demeanor, reached the car to enter the driving seat. Before he could open the door, Sreekar opened it  and took the driving seat. Deepak was puzzled with his actions and feeling terrible about his condition immediately ran towards the passenger seat. Sreekar ignited the engine and accelerated the car with a jet speed which baffled Deepak. Before Sreekar could move the car, Deepak opened the door and jumped into the passenger seat  slamming the door behind. His heart was pounding heavily with the dangerous stunt he pulled to get into the car and panted heavily. Without having any idea of the destination, Sreekar kept driving the car like a maniac crossing the speed limits . The pictures of  Swetha and Arjun were flashing in his mind, infuriating him more and more which made him  press the accelerator continuously.Deepak was  frightened to death   by experiencing the speed of Sreekar’s driving and held his breath holding the hand  rest very tightly. He want to persue Sreekar but seeing his   furious face he didnt dare to utter a single word.After driving like for an eternity, Sreekar halted the car in front of a pub and went inside leaving the car at its place. Deepak followed him after giving the car keys to the security asking him to park the car in the parking area.Sreekar directly went to the drinks section and sat on the empty chair. He ordered the bartender for strong drinks for himself. Deepak was perplexed with his actions and kept watching him standing near him.Once the bartender took out the bottle to pour the alcohol  into the glass, Sreekar snatched the bottle from his hand and gulped the total drink in  one go leaving both Deepak and bartender baffled.“Why ...? Why is    this happening ...?”, queried Sreekar in a slurry voice gazing at Deepak.
