THE SILENT LOVE ...Chapter 29 :Kamal, brother of Archana, glanced at Swetha after hearing her threat. His eyes were struck to her at the very first glance when she entered the house. He was mesmerized by her magnetic beauty, her half saree and her long braid. He, being in the city, saw girls wearing half saree once in a while when he visited his grandparents place. Even his sister Archana never wore the half saree. By seeing Swetha with such a traditional attire and her long braid attracted him like a magnet. He couldn’t take his eyes away from her but for the sake of her sister’s marriage, he controlled all his emotions and kept his eyes away from her.After hearing her threat, he couldn’t control himself and glanced at her and understood the reason behind her words. He was amused by seeing her mischievousness, the way she wiggled her eyebrows and the smile tucked at the corner of her lips. He wanted to play along with her and assured her that she would get proper attention from them.“Being the bride's family we will surely give importance to the groom’s sister. You don’t need to worry about that. There was a saying that a sister in law is equal to the husband and should be respected equally. My sister will surely give you the importance”, stated Kamal.Swetha who was giving a teasing smirk to Archana, dumbfounded with Kamal’s words and kept staring at him fluttering her eyebrows for a couple of times. Later she glanced at Rasi, after communicating with their eyes, darted towards Kamal and queried.“Oh really! How are you going to treat me specially? Would I feel significant with your special treatment?”, queried Swetha, giving a teasing look at him.Kamal nodded his head and replied while his heart was enjoying her antiques,“Yes! You will be honored with our special hospitality towards you. You will never forget us even in your dreams”,looking straight into her eyes.Swetha was about to protest his words but after watching Kamal’s family staring at Kamal with widened eyes, kept watching his family members by darting her eyes to one another. Even Archana gaped at Kamal in astonishment. Watching the bride's family members in amazement, Mahalaxmi and Meenakshi exchanged their looks and kept staring at Archana’s parents.Kamal, realizing the silence in the room and seeing Swetha staring at his family members with an open mouth, glanced at his parents who were looking at him being drumstruck. Kamal realized that he was speaking to Swetha infront of all and felt embarrassed. He immediately stood on his feet and excused himself to escape from the situation.“Excuse me! I need to make a phone call. I will be back soon”, he informed Gautham and rushed inside towards his room.His parents and sister Archana laughed out loud once he left the room. Ambika, mother of Kamal, acknowledged the confused expression on the groom’s family members and  explained the reason behind their behavior.“Please don’t feel offended with our behavior. This was the first time seeing my son speaking to a girl and that too who was totally a stranger to him. Your daughter had a magical power to make him speak with her without any trouble. He usually feels shy to interact with girls”, explained Ambika.Everyone understood the situation and laughed along with the bride's family. Swetha glanced at Rasi who was also looking at her. They both laughed at each other having an evil smile on their faces having mischievous thoughts in their mind.Both the families felt delighted to see their children fancying each other. They were satisfied with their culture, principles and  their honesty matching with both the families. All the elderly people fell in the discussion about the dates for engagement and marriage. Sweta, seeing the gloomy face of Gautham, understood that he wishes  to speak with Archana personally. She nudged Rasi with her elbow and winked at her to play along.“Sister in law! All the elderly people were in serious discussion which we couldn't understand. Why don't you show your house to us to kill time?”, queried Swetha.Ambika, hearing Swethas words immeidiately asked Archana to give them the home tour. Archana obliged her words and ushered Swetha and  Rasi to move towards  the  staircase.“Swetha grabbed Rasi's hand and moved behind Archana and stopped after two steps.“Brother! When did you become an elderly person? Do you want to be one of them or would you like to accompany us  to see  the interior of the house? Come along with us”, teased Swetha.Gautam immediately rose on his feet and followed them saying,”I would love to have the home tour.
