THE SILENT LOVE ...Chapter 12 :Arjun ran towards the direction of Rasi and found her  at the back of the college where they all usually gather to kill time. He rushed towards her, slowly sat beside her without speaking anything. Rasi felt that her heartbeat was increasing rapidly with his intimacy and wished to disappear from the place.Arjun, noticing her anxiety, slowly took her hand in his and queried.“How long were  you carrying that card? Why didn’t you tell me your feelings earlier? I was afraid that you might not reciprocate the same feelings”, whispered Arjun.Rasi looked at him from beneath her eyelashes and replied,”Being a girl, how could I take the step to confess my feelings? What if I say I too am afraid of your denial”.Arjun grinned at her and replied,”We both anticipated the same and kept quiet for a long time.  I would have confess my feelings earlier. Rasi! Promise me that you won’t step back from your love. Will you accompany me for the rest of my life? I couldn’t think of surviving without you. I love you from the bottom of my heart”, and he slowly plants a kiss on the back of her palm.By hearing his words, Rasi’s eyes moistened and felt very emotional. She immediately kept her head on his chest and  promised,”Arjun! I was waiting for these words for a long time. How would I step down from my love when my life depends on you. Without you, I couldn’t think of my future. I dreamt of a happy life with you, becoming a mother to your children and  growing older along with you. I love you Ajju!”.Arjun sneaked his arms around her shoulders and  kept his chin on her head. Both had an ecstasy feeling in their hearts and  enjoyed the blissfulness of the moment.They came into their senses by hearing their friend’s voices.“See how selfish they were. Once they found their love, they forgot about us. Now they don’t need our friendship. Why to disturb them. Come let’s go to the class”, pouting her lips, Swetha sulked keeping a disappointed face.Arjun immediately grabbed Swetha’s hand and pulled her  to his other side. He kept his hand around her shoulder and pleaded.“Sweths! Don’t say that. You know how important you are for me. She is the reason for my heart beats and you are the reason for the happiness in my life. You both are very important to me. Never say that I forgot you. I will remember you till the last cell of my body dies”, confessed Arjun. Swetha placed her finger on his lips and reprimanded,”Don’t speak unnecessary words at this wonderful moment. I was just teasing you people. Okay! You people have  your own time to share your feelings. We will leave you love birds for some privacy. We are going to the classes. Bye”, and stood on her feet to leave them alone.Before she could take two steps, Rasi called her.“Sweths!”.Swetha whirled around and stared at her to know the reason  behind stopping her.Rasi came near her,held her hand and requested,“Sweths! Please don’t let this  be known by my brother. If he know about our love, he will stop my education and make me sit at home. He will immediately fix my marriage with someone and send me away from here. Please keep it a secret for a few days”.Swetha gaped at her bewildered and queried,”Does Rohan have the guts to go against you?”.Rasi nodded her head negatively and informed,“No, it’s not Rohan. I am talking about my brother who came yesterday. Sreekar brother. He hates love and if he come across my love, he will kill me”.Swetha stared at her with widened eyes and queried,“What made you think that I will tell him this news when he scares me with his menacing looks? He is waiting for a chance to strangle me”.It was RRRasi turn to stare at Swetha in astonishment. Being perplexed with her statement, she queried.“Sweths! What are you saying? Why would he strangle you? He hardly knows you. How could you have a  hostility with him?”, questioned Rasi with misbelief.Neeraja, who was quiet for a long time, laughed out loud and explained.“If Swetha was not there, Arjun might have endup in the hospital. She took a courageous step to save Arjun. She slapped your brother in front of all the students. No one dared to save Arjun from your brother’s wrath”.Rasi was dumbfounded by learning the truth and gaped at Swetha.“Swetha! How did you act so boldly? Are you the same scary cat? You are even afraid to utter any word if someone rags you.  How come my brother didn’t say anything after seeing you at our house? But be careful with him. He despises the woman. I don’t know how he will react to your slap. Be careful, okay?”, suggested Rasi..Swetha nodded her head in approval and ushered everyone to attend the classes.
