THE SILENT LOVE ...Chapter 109 :Waves of tears gushed out the eyes of Bhuvaneswari Devi and Raghavendar seeing their son alive in front of their eyes. They both lunged towards Sreekanth, who handed Honey to Shilpa and engulfed them in his embrace, feeling delighted to see his parents after a long time, craving for their love and affection. They both hugged him so tightly as if he would disappear if they left him. Sreekanth reciprocated their hug with the same intensity trying to experience the warmth of them which he lost all these days. Sreekar and Shilpa witnessed their reunion with content though they couldnât deny the fact that the reason behind his demise was his mother. After what felt like an eternity, Bhuvaneswari Devi withdrew herself from the tender embrace, her delicate fingers caressing his cheek with fondness, eyes filled with relief and misbelief, she enquired,âSreekanth! Is this reality? Are you truly alive? Why didnât you enlighten us about your presence? Where were you all these days? Didnât you not consider the torment we endure, believing that you had departed from us forever? Why?âHer words carry the weightage of her agony she went through all these years.âHow could you anticipate him to reveal his true identity when you are the reason for his concealed lifeâ, Sreekarâs words resonated through the air like thunder , leaving everyone frozen in their places.Trembling all over her body with the overwhelming emotions that rose due to the accusations that Sreekar was pointing at her, Bhuvaneswari Devi whirled back toward Sreekar and barked, feeling irate.âSreekar! Mind your words. Donât forget that you are addressing your mother. No mother wishes to witness the demise of their own children. How can you accuse me of being the cause for his concealed life?âroared Bhuvaneswari Devi, her words echoing through the air, as if she was unleashing the lava of her agony. Her outburst failed to bring any effect on Sreekar but a sarcastic smirk appeared on his lips as he mocked her,âMom! After witnessing the person who endured your atrocious actions, you still deny your deeds. You not only attempted to chase her from my brotherâs life but also tried to vanish her from this universe when you believed that she would not comply with your wish to depart from my brother. Why? Why mom? Are you so desperate to maintain your status , wealth and your reputation in society?â His words directly pierced into her heart, slicing it like a dagger.âNoooo ...! What you are spouting is nonsense. I admit to my deeds of attempting to drive her away from Sreekanth, but I would never contemplate harming or taking a person's life. I believe she has manipulated you all with her sweet talks. I would never stoop so low as to take someone's life," barked Bhuvaneswari Devi, unable to bear the weight of false accusations originating from her own son.âMom! Witnessing the victim in front of you, you still deny your deeds. Do you even imagine the anguish she went through when she was chased out to make her disappear from this earth? Do you even realize how crucial it was for my brother not to find her anywhere for those three agonizing days? A stranger   rescued her from the attack and sheltered her by treating her wounds. I couldnât even imagine the agony my brother would endure if not for that stranger informing her whereabouts. You still have the audacity to refuse your actions?â, queried   Sreekar, while his every word came out bluntly , plunging Bhuvaneswari Deviâs heart.Bhuvaneswari Devi stood motionless in her place with the sudden revolution of targeting Shilpa to end her life. She was dumbfounded with the accusation which she was not accountable for and felt speechless   to defend herself.Watching their mother being silent without defending herself, Sreekanth felt a pang of disappointment and sadness gripped his heart. The slightest hope of her not attempting to destroy Shilpa slowly vanished in his heart. The haunting memories of Shilpa enduring the fear, the agony and the vulnerability in those three days of staying in a stranger's place flashed in his mind. The weightage of these overwhelming emotions made him lose his composer.âMom! I always held a profound admiration for your unwavering boldness, strong demeanor and managing complex business matters despite your arrogance and disdain towards those who are beneath your status. You being born in a wealthy family, I can understand your demeanor as I too followed your steps till I cross paths with Shilpa. With her entrance in my life, I realized the truth that love and affection surpass the significance of wealth. I understand your tendency to uphold status and reputation, I never anticipated you would go to such extremes as to take someone's life. Mom! You have disappointed me. If you have asked me, I would have given my life to you rather than losing the love of my lifeâ, exclaimed Sreekanth, his every single word carrying the depth of his agony, disappointment and helplessness for his motherâs actions.Bhuvaneswari Devi found herself speechless as each of his words sliced through her heart like a sharp knife. She was engulfed in agony, dragging her into a pit of vulnerability and pathetic state. His every word shattered her heart into fragments, feeling remorse for her deeds. Yet, she was perplexed of how her pursuit of the woman had tragically led to her demise.âMom! Are you speechless by witnessing your actions? Do you still deny your deeds in the presence of the woman who endured your atrocity? Tell me, Mom? Do you have any explanation after witnessing them alive?â, snapped Sreekar, his each and every cell of his body boiling with rage for his motherâs actions.Shilpa, noticing Sreekanthâs trembling body due to his overwhelming mixed emotions, reached him and squeezed his shoulder indicating her support in his battle. Feeling her presence, he closed his eyes and slowly steadied his composer. Later he engulfed her in his embrace to feel the warmth which can keep him serene in any circumstances. Finally the deafening silence in the atmosphere was broken by Bhuvaneswari Devi who emerged from her bafflement.âI never dreamt of a day being confronted by my own blood and flush. I wouldnât have felt downhearted if you reprimand me for my actions of chasing her from my sonâs life but accusing me of attempting to take her life is really tormenting me. Is this the impression you have on your mother who raised you all these years? Do you think I will stoop that low, taking a personâs life to uphold my status and reputation. I accept my action of hiring people to chase her but never admit the accusation of trying to end her life. Never, not in any other lifeâ, stated Bhuvaneswari Devi, her every word carrying the weightage of her agony, remorse, guilt and determination of denying the accusation that she is not accountable for.Her unwavering determination of words left Sreekar and Sreekanth speechless contemplating whether their accusation points at the concerned person or their mother has become the target. But her acceptance of attempting to chase Shilpa left them no choice but doubt her.âMom! How can you deny the fact of you attempting to take her life when the victim herself stated the fact of being chased in the process of killing her. Carrying weapons with them doesnât make any sense when they were hired just to chase her out of the city. How can you prove your innocence of not wishing to kill her?â, questioned Sreekar looking deeply into her eyes as if he was trying to learn the fact, seeing through her soul.âI will do everything to maintain my status and reputation but never take the support of lies. Either you believe it or not, I will never attempt to take someoneâs lifeâ, stated Bhuvaneswari Devi, as her frustration reached its peak by watching her own flush denying to believe her innocence.Raghavendar, who was quiet for the entire conversation drowning in the misery by learning the fact of his wife attempting to chase the love of his son, emerged from his daze by hearing his wifeâs determined voice.âSree! Sreekanth! I feel terrible learning your motherâs actions but believe me, whatever the consequences may be, she would never deny the actions, mistakes or faults she had committed. Maybe your woman felt petrified and mistook them to be behind her lifeâ, stated Raghavendar, stood like a pillar of support for his wife being acquainted with her demeanor from the time they started to share their life.âHahaha!â. Sreekarâs laugh resonated like a mockery in response to his words and with a fierce gaze,he enquired,âOh! Is it so? Then she harmed herself by plunging the knife in her shoulder to get the sympathy from my brother who was already head over heels for her. Dad! Are you trying to defend mom after witnessing everythingâ.Raghavendr shook his head in denial and explained,âI knew her so well that I believe her not attempting to kill your woman. She might be arrogant and dominant but not a liar. She is not a timid woman to run away from her mistakes. I can assure you for thatâ.Pratap,  who was observing the entire conversation, couldnât help intervening in the middle of the conversation to defend Bhuvaneswari Devi.âSreekar! You should trust your mother being acquainted with her demeanor. Depending on my friendship with your parents from our college days, I can assure you, she is not lying. Why would she deny the fact of attempting to kill her when she accepted hiring people to chase her outâ, queried Pratap trying to make them realize the depth of the reality.Sreekar was left speechless while the words of Pratap resonated in his ears leading him to rethink the situation once again. He can deny anyone but not Pratap whom he had treated as a fatherly figure from his childhood. His way of analyzing the situation, the calmness he exudes even in the crucial moments, the affection he showers on him made him a role model for Sreekar treating him as a fatherly figure. After contemplating for a while, Sreekar darted his eyes towards his mother and enquired,âDo you remember whom you have hired to chase her? If you have not planned to kill her, then why did they chase her, targeting her life?â.Bhuvaneswari Devi cast a glance upon Sreekar, her eyes revealing a mix of emotions. After contemplating for a moment, she darted her gaze towards Sreekanth. In a surge of conflicting feelings, she moved closer to him, gently clasped his hands in hers. With sincerity in her voice, she spoke,âSreekanth, I accept my resentment about your love for that woman. However, I swear on everything sacred that I never entertained the thought of harming her. My intention was only to distance her from your life. Whether you choose to believe me or not, I have nothing more to add. Though my resentment towards your marriage and her accusations remains the same, I never intended any harmâ.
