I woke up to Victor's groans. His phone was going off and he was rather annoyed. I heard his hand hit the bedside table in search for his phone and when he finally found it he sighed and pulled me closer while answering.
"Hello?" He answered, his voice deep and rusty from just waking up.
I was so close to him that I could hear Caden's laugh through the other end. Of course it had to be him to wake us up.
"Man, were you sleeping?"
"Fuck off, I was very comfortable," he snapped and ran his hand through my hair.
"Whatever dude. Can I come over?"
I tensed up but soon relaxed as Victor said, "No, I'm going back to sleep. I won't answer the door and will close and lock all the windows so you won't be able to get in."
"You suck, man. What? You got someone there with you?"
If possible, Victor pulled me even closer to his body and I snuggled in.
"I just want to sleep. Go bother someone else."
"Sure, sure. Goodnight, princess."
"I'll break your arm the next time I see you," he said and hung up.
I couldn't help the small chuckle that left my lips. I didn't know Victor talked that way with his friends. He was always so nice and respectful. Everyone loved him. He was smart, athletic, kind, and of course, popular. Before we really talked he would wave his hand at me through the school halls but that was because he knew me as his neighbor. I had to thank Caden for becoming his friend and giving me the chance to actually talk to him. Of course, I'm not actually going to thank Caden.
"I can't fall back to sleep," he whined and I laughed, looking up at his pouty face.
"What time is it?" I asked and laid my head on his chest.
"It's about to be five," he sighed and gently began to run his fingers through my hair repeatedly.
"I should probably get going. Max is most likely gonna show up to my place after his date to tell me all about it," I laughed lightly and got up.
Victor grabbed my arm and pulled me back down, rolling over me and holding himself up so he was hovering above me. He stared down at me while a grin and I laughed and shook my head. He was so goofy.
"Stay," he whispered and gave my lips a kiss.
"I would but Max will know something's up," I said with a smile as his lips went to my neck.
"Please," he weakly begged.
"I should go and see if my mom needs anything anyways," I said but didn't move to get up.
Victor lifted his head and chuckled, leaning down and slowly kissing me. My hands gently wrapped around his neck and one of his hands grabbed my waist.
"You sure?" He whispered, laying his forehead down on mine.
"Sadly, yes," I said and pecked his lips once more.
He dramatically sighed and flopped down beside me. I laughed and sat up, grabbed my shoes and started to put them on. I felt the bed dip right behind me and soon his soft lips kissed the skin of my neck. He arms snaked around my waist and pulled me back a but, his soft kisses littering my neck. Damn him, I didn't want to leave before and much less now.
"Can I see you tomorrow?"
"I'm sorry, I'm going to buy materials for the camping trip tomorrow with Max and them. We usually eat after and hang out for the rest of the day."
He dramatically sighed and I laughed, placing a kiss on his cheek after I stood up. He got up and put on his shoes before holding my hand and walking with me as we left his room and walked towards the door. He grabbed his car keys and made sure his wallet and phone were with him. I made sure I got all my things and followed after him outside. He took the longer way to get to my house, holding my hand the entire way there. Every now and then he'd bring my hand up to his lips and give my knuckles a kiss which made my stomach have those damn butterflies. When we finally made it to my place he sighed and parked the car. He turned to me and brought my lips to his, kissing me with a type of hunger that made both of us wanting more. I was really happy his car had the darkest legal shade of tint on the windows.
"Text me so I don't go crazy of jealousy and track you down myself," he whispered.
I chuckled and pecked his lips once more before getting out of the car. I waved bye at him and he backed out and drove off. I entered the house to see my mother watching TV with Daniel, both of them having small smiles of just enjoying each other's company, his hand on my mother's stomach. My mother's head turned upon hearing the door and she smiled at me, Daniel looking over and offering a small smile of his own.
"Hi, honey. How was your day?"
"It was good, mom."
"That's great, honey. Hector came like five minutes ago. He's waiting in your room, I told him he could keep himself company with your gaming system but he seemed content with just reading until you arrive. He said something about Max talking his ear off about his date tonight," she giggled.
I shook my head and chuckled, thanking my mom and heading to my room. I had to make sure my mouth didn't fall open once I opened my bedroom door. I'm very much happy with Victor, but WOW. Hector was laying on my bed with a muscle shirt which proudly put his muscles on display. His shorts made his legs visible and it was clear he did not skip leg day. His glasses made his face adorable and he looked calm while reading. To top things off, he turned his head and gave me such a warm and kind smile as he greeted me.
"Hey, I hope you don't mind me being here. Max was gonna make me smack him with my precious book if I stayed any longer to hear about his date."
"Its perfectly fine, I've been there," I said with a chuckle.
I took off my shoes and Hector sat up and scooted over, placing his book on his lap, the top of his book mark coming out just a bit at the top. It was kind of funny that Hector was this buff guy but was a total nerd. Though it made the ladies fall at his feet for sure. And some guys I guess. Hector was literally the perfect guy. He was a gentleman to both girls and guys ever since he was little. Not only was he nice but his skin was beyond soft and I always poked his cheek when we were younger because of how soft his skin was and is. It's unfair how attractive and kind he is. Girls are going to go crazy on Monday.
"What book are you reading?"
"Tami Hoag, Night Sins."
"Is it any good?"
"I'd say so, the main character is feminist."
I chuckled and sat down on my bed, grabbing the book and turning it so I could read the description but I made sure to be careful that his book mark wouldn't fall off.
"Well, it's good to know you're supporting feminist."
He laughed and I gave him the book a second later. He gently took it back and laid it down on the bed beside him. Hector was truly something else. He was so gentle and caring. He was a big buff guy but could honestly not hurt a fly. He was scared of spiders and demanded that Max trap them and take them outside. Max can't kill them in front of him though because Hector says they are still living beings and that they deserve life too. He just doesn't want them near him.
"So, what should I expect at this camping trip? And at this school of yours?"
"Well, expect to be surrounded by people."
"Why?" He asked, truly confused.
"Hector, you're literally beautiful inside and out," I laughed and he blushed, looking down and fiddling with his fingers.
"So, about this camping trip? What should I expect?"
"Well, Max and I try to do all the activities. Sara will whine the entire time except the swimming part because she loves to swim and show off her new bikinis. But the first day is more of settling in which is Friday. Saturday we have hiking and then there's usually other activities like volleyball and of course the swimming. We are allowed row boats so Max will definitely want to go on one. At night there's the campfires and s'mores. There's also popcorn in case you don't like s'mores. Sunday is movie day where they put a movie on and we can either watch from our tents or use like towels or blankets to sit on the ground. That starts around six since it begins to get dark. We leave around eleven and get home really late. Seniors usually have one chaperone because the freshman, sophomores, and juniors need more. They trust us to be mature which is their mistake."
"It actually sounds like fun."
"It will be, especially since you'll have Max and I to be there with you. Speaking of Max, here he is," I said and showed him my phone of him calling.
I picked up and put it on speaker so that Hector could hear as well. Right away, Max began to tell me how worried he was and that he couldn't find something to wear. It was about 6:30 and he had to pick up Charlie at seven which meant he had less than thirty minutes.
"Dude, I'm sure you look fine."
"You don't even know what I look like," Max whined to me.
"I gave you a good outfit," Hector said, chuckling and shaking his head at his cousin.
"Hector, you're there? I can't remember what you chose for me! I accidentally mixed the clothes."
I literally faced palmed. Max got too worried for these things and I wasn't nervous because I knew he was a good guy and anyone would be lucky to be with him. Max and Hector were both very nice people. The only person who can get under Max's skin is Caden but Caden can get under anyone's skin. Hector described the clothes as best as he could and Max thanked him just about one hundred times before hanging up and most likely rushing to get to Charlie's place.
"What now?" Hector asked after I put my phone down.
"Want to bake some cookies?"
He laughed but nodded his head and we left my room to go bake some cookies. At the end we were a laughing mess but somehow managed to make some cookies.
