"Hey Bhole, ab important hai isiliye jaa rahi hoon na. Isme gussa hone wali kya baat hai, huh khadush?" (Hey Bhole, itâs important, thatâs why Iâm going. Whatâs there to get angry about, huh grumpy?) I muttered under my breath while rolling my eyes at the text I sent in our small WhatsApp group.
I quickly stepped into the bathroom for a shower, letting the cool water calm me down. Once done, I dressed up in simple light blue jeans paired with a plain white T-shirt and topped it off with my trusty black leather jacket. The jacket would be perfect if they took me somewhere cold, and honestly, it added a certain edge to my otherwise simple look.
Running my fingers through my damp hair, I decided to leave it open. The slight waves gave a casual yet effortless vibe. Taking a quick glance in the mirror, I grabbed my phone and typed out a message to them, hoping they'd stop being dramatic about it.

Group Chat: "The Trio"
A (Avantika): Iâm ready.
R (Rudra): Bhabhi, me too.
O (Om): Mai bhi. (Me too.)
A (Avantika): Then letâs go, boys!
O (Om): Iâm waiting in the parking area.
A (Avantika): Iâm there.
R (Rudra): 2 min, bss shoe lace bandhkar aata hu. (Just tying my shoe laces and coming.)
O (Om): Toh message kyu kar raha hai? Ready ho na, jaldi! (Then why are you messaging? Just get ready quickly!)
R (Rudra): Are, ho gaya hu bhai sa! (Iâm ready, brother!) Bss ye bandh nahi rahi h na... kya karu? (Itâs just that this wonât tie properly⦠what do I do?)
A (Avantika): Rudra, aap aa jao. Om bhai sa bandh kar denge. (Rudra, you come. Om will tie it for you.)
R (Rudra): Pakka? (Are you sure?)
A (Avantika): Haan, pakka. (Yes, for sure.)
Rudra went offline before he could read Omâs message.
O (Om): Abey, abhi paida hua hai kya? Mai kyu bandhu tere shoe lace, ha? (What are you, newly born? Why should I tie your shoe laces, huh?)
Avantika read Omâs message with a soft smile as she made her way to the parking lot, sneaking past house helpers and family members who seemed to pop up at every corner. After what felt like a game of hide-and-seek, she finally stepped outside, her pace slow and composed.
âOm bhai sa, vo chhote hain, unki help kiya kijiye naâ (Om bhai sa, heâs young, you should help him), she said gently as she slid into the car, referring to Rudra with a hint of affection.
Om opened his mouth to reply, but before he could get a word out, Rudra burst into the backseat, his voice loud and panicked.
âBhai sa, chalo! Bhai sa, chalo! Maa sa pakd lengi!â (Bhai sa, letâs go! Letâs go! Maa sa will catch us!) he yelled, his tone filled with urgency.
Without waiting for a response, Rudra turned the key and started the car, his actions frantic.
âKyaaaâ¦?â (What?) Avantika and Om exclaimed in unison, the sudden motion leaving them wide-eyed as the car lurched forward.
"Ji ha!" (Yes!) they screamed again in excitement as the car came to a halt at their destinationâLonavala. The cold breeze greeted them, and a sense of freedom washed over the trio as they stepped out, their little adventure finally beginning.
The car screeched to a halt, and the trio stepped out, greeted by the cool, refreshing breeze of Lonavala. The air was crisp, carrying a faint earthy aroma from the recent rains, and the gentle mist blurred the surrounding hills, giving the place an ethereal charm.
The lush green landscape stretched as far as the eye could see, dotted with vibrant wildflowers that added splashes of color to the scene. Waterfalls cascaded down rocky cliffs in the distance, their sound mingling with the chirping of birds and the soft rustling of leaves. The sky above was a calming shade of gray, hinting at more rain, and the entire atmosphere was serene yet lively.
Avantika inhaled deeply, letting the fresh air fill her lungs, while Om stretched his arms, his gaze lingering on the horizon. Rudra, however, couldnât contain his excitement.
âBhai sa, dekho na, kya jagah hai!â (Bhai sa, look at this place!), he exclaimed, his voice echoing through the valley.
The trio stood there, taking in the beauty of Lonavalaâthe perfect start to their much-needed adventure.
As they stepped downstairs, Avantika felt a wave of pure happiness flood her heart. The beauty of the place captivated her, and she couldnât help but twirl around, her arms outstretched as she gazed at the clouds above and the glimmering city below. The world-famous "Dream City" sparkled like a star under the soft hues of the evening sky, its charm amplified by the serenity of the moment.
Om and Rudra soon joined her, their presence grounding the joyous atmosphere. After a few moments of soaking in the view, the trio settled down at a cozy table nearby.
Feeling a sense of sukoon (peace) in her heart, Avantika finally broke the silence. "Bhai sa, humne toh suna tha ki yeh jagah kaafi crowded hoti hai," (Bhai sa, I had heard this place is usually very crowded.) she said, her curiosity evident.
Om and Rudra exchanged a knowing look before Rudra handed her the jacket she had forgotten in the car. "Haan, hoti thi, Bhabhi sa," (Yes, it used to be, Bhabhi sa,) Om replied with a broad smile.
"Phir aaj kyun nahi hai?" (Then why isnât it today?) she asked, tilting her head in confusion.
"Kyunki aaj aap yaha hain," (Because youâre here today,) Rudra said with a cheeky grin, sliding chocolate toward her. It was one of her favorites, something they had thoughtfully picked up for her before arriving.
"Ek minuteâ¦" (One minuteâ¦) Avantikaâs eyes fluttered open in realization as the truth dawned upon her. Her jaw dropped, and she pointed an accusing finger at the two.
"Aap logo ne ye pura book kiya hai?!" (You two booked this entire place?) she exclaimed in shock.
Om and Rudra simply exchanged a sly smile, their eyes squinting playfully as they answered in unison, "Yes."
The next moment, Avantikaâs eyes filled with tears, her emotions overwhelming her. Seeing her like this, both Om and Rudra immediately panicked.
"Bhabhi sa, kya hua? Aap ro kyun rahi hain?" (Bhabhi sa, what happened? Why are you crying?) Rudra asked worriedly.
"Humne kuch galat kiya kya?" (Did we do something wrong?) Om added, his tone laced with concern.
Both of them dropped to their knees in front of her, their expressions a mix of guilt and desperation. They couldnât bear to see Avantika upset, especially not when they had gone to such lengths to bring a smile to her face.
Avantika cried for a moment, the tears rolling down her cheeks as she tried to process the overwhelming gesture. But soon, she wiped her face, shook her head gently, and smiled. âNothing,â she said softly, her voice carrying warmth and gratitude.
Om and Rudra sighed in relief, their tension melting away as her radiant smile returned. The trio quickly shifted gears, diving into random games and endless laughter, each moment drawing them closer. They shared stories, teasing one another, and discovering new sides to their bond under the starry Lonavala sky.
Meanwhile, back at the Rajawat mansion, Aadishâs room lay cloaked in darkness. The heavy silence was broken only by the faint rustling of someone sleeping under a thick blanket. The figure was entirely hidden, their presence unnoticed by Aadish, who stood on his roomâs balcony, engrossed in a phone call.
As he finished his call and stepped inside, he paused, his sharp instincts alerting him to something unusual. His eyes darted toward the bed as the blanket-covered figure stirred, their movements faint but undeniable.
Frowning, Aadish moved to the light switch and flicked it on. The sudden brightness illuminated the room, and what he saw made him stagger back, his eyes widening in shock.
A scream tore from his lips, followed by a string of galiyan (cuss words). âYeh kya bakwas hai?! Tujhe kisne andar aane diya?!â (What the hell is this?! Who let you in?!) he roared, his voice echoing through the room as he glared at the unexpected intruder.
Aadish stood frozen in shock, his words tumbling out in a furious rush. âYou⦠what the hell⦠what the f*ck⦠why are you here? Where is she?â His voice grew louder, each word dripping with anger and confusion as he glared at the person lying in his bed.
The figure, still groggy from sleep, slowly sat up, rubbing his eyes and yawning. He looked around the room in disbelief, as if trying to make sense of the situation. His mind, still foggy with sleep, tried to process the sudden change from slumber to this confrontation.
Meanwhile, the tension in the air was thick, as Aadish paced around, unable to control his rage. But before we continue, let's rewind just a little...
Some time before...
The atmosphere was far more peaceful then. The mansion was quieter, and the events leading up to this moment were unfolding differently, at least in Aadish's mind. But what he had never expected was that, in a matter of moments, everything would change.

Aadishâs heart ached as the words replayed in his mindâdil todke kehti hai, main unromantic hoon. The sting of her denial, the cold rejection, gnawed at him. Na jaane kaunsa aise kaam tha jo humein saara inkaar kar diya? He was lost in his thoughts, battling the frustration of her refusal to accept his dinner proposal. He couldnât fathom how something so simple, so innocent, could be met with such resistance. Kyahum itna bhi khaas nahi? The question echoed in his mind, laced with a bitter frustration he tried to ignore.
As he wandered aimlessly, a thought clicked. Maybe he had misjudged the situation. Maybe there was more he needed to understand. Without wasting any time, he slowly made his way to her room. The darkness inside gave him the impression she wasnât there, but as he cautiously opened the door, there she was. She stood there, almost like a vision, and in that split second, his resolve hardened. He swiftly captured her, wrapping her in her own blanket, the familiar scent filling his senses. He didnât hesitate, quickly using the anesthetic spray in front of her face.
For a moment, her height caught him off guard. She seemed much taller than usual, like she was wearing heels. It threw him off just enough, and when he lifted her, her weight seemed to double, making the task much harder than he anticipated. But there was no time for second thoughts. He hurried to his room, laid her on his bed, and just as he was about to study her faceâsomething he desperately wanted to doâhis phone rang. Armaan. It wasnât the call he had hoped for. It dragged on for over forty minutes, and with every passing second, his frustration grew. Why wouldnât Armaan take his calls? His mind raced, but he couldnât afford to lose focus now.
