Avantika's pov
As I stood there, gazing at him, lost in my thoughts, I wasnât even sure if he noticed my presence.
My mind wandered back to that dayâwhen I fell asleep in his arms.
In that moment, I realized something profound: it was up to me to choose him over the pain and fears I carried.
Only I had the power to decide if my past would overshadow the love he offers in the present, or if I would embrace the future he's waiting to build with me.
A future filled not only with his love, but with the warmth of his family.
In his arms, I felt the promise of happiness, the kind that could brighten even my darkest corners.
As I drifted into sleep, careless and peaceful in his arms, my dreams felt incomplete without him. But the moment they faded away, and my eyes fluttered open, I found his gaze already on me. That look... it was like a wave of calmness washing over my soul, and I couldnât ignore the butterflies dancing in my stomach. His touch felt as sacred as a prayer whispered in devotion.
With gentle care, he adjusted me on his lap, and as our eyes broke away, he pulled me into a tight embrace, like I was the only thing left in his world. When he softly placed a kiss on my forehead, a sudden warmth filled my heart, making me feel blessed in a way I hadnât before.
He leaned in slowly, his breath grazing my neck and collarbone, sending a shiver down my spine. The warmth of his closeness contrasted with the cool sensation that rushed through me. As his lips neared my ear, he whispered softly, yet with an intensity that made my heart race, "Junoon ban chuki hai aap humara" (You have become my obsession). Those words, laced with both tenderness and passion, wrapped around me like a spell, making everything else fade away.
As his words sank in, I just looked at him, wondering how someone could love me like this. I had never truly understood what love was, but today, as he gave me everything I had longed for all these years, I felt myself losing my soul to him once more. We never dated, he confessed his feelings, yet we never acted like a typical couple. And now, here I am, saying yes to marry him, for reasons even I donât fully understand.
I know my safety will always be his priority, but I also know who he is, and providing security is probably the simplest thing for him to manage in his entire life. Still, being part of his world feels like my fate. The day I lost the only blood relative I had leftâmy fatherâwas the day I found him, or maybe, he found me.
I canât help but regret marrying him, yaar. He never truly proposed to me⦠I mean, ek phool hi de dete bhai! (He couldâve at least given me a flower!)
They call him the mafia king of the world, and yet he couldnât bring me even a single flowerâhuh!
Iâm about to marry him, but come on, itâs not like⦠Heyyy Bhole, mai nahi karungi inse shaadi! (Hey, Lord Shiva, I wonât marry him!)
Mummmyyyy⦠eee kaha phas gayi main? (Mummyy⦠where have I gotten stuck?)
His brother, on the other hand, never gets tired of giving flowers, and here he is, canât even give me a single petal!
I was talking to myself when he suddenly came in front of me and offered me his hand. Still lost in my thoughts, I heard him say, âMadam, krupy aap chalne ka kasht kare; aapki baate hum ghar par sun lenge, 1 ghante se khade hainâ¦â (Madam, please take the trouble to walk; we can discuss what you want at home; I've been standing here for an hourâ¦).
As he spoke, I accepted his hand with a small smile. He guided me to sit in my place in his sooo sooo sooo personal car. I knew about it from Arman bhai sa, as he was so much into cars and all.
As I sat there, I thought, âEk to propose bhi nahi kiya, aur ab 1 ghante khade bhi nahi hona hai⦠bade hi unromantic aadmi se shaadi kar rahi hoon lagta haiâ¦â (First, he didnât even propose, and now he doesnât have to stand for an hour⦠looks like Iâm marrying a really unromantic manâ¦).
Just then, I realized he was already driving, and we were on our way home when suddenly, out of nowhere, he said, âAb itne bhi unromantic nahi, hum biwi sahiba.â (Iâm not that unromantic, my dear wife.).
âWhhhaaattttâ¦â I exclaimed, raising my voice in surprise, only for him to reply with a smirk that I just couldnât accept.
âItna ki ab to Jaipur ke log bhi jaante hain,â he said, but as soon as he mentioned Jaipur, old memories flashed in front of my eyes in seconds.
Before I could get lost in my thoughts again, I checked all sides of the car but saw no one. I turned to ask him, but before I could say anything, he said, âGuards hain⦠aap tension na leâ (There are guards⦠donât worry). His words gave me some relief, but I still wanted to ask him, âKaha hain? Hume to nahi dikheâ (Where are they? I canât see them).
As I turned towards the window, I asked him, âAaj aap busy nahi the?â (Arenât you busy today?).
To which he replied, âAap ke liye kabhi nahi hote, rani saâ (Iâm never busy for you, my queen).
I responded unknowingly, my eyes closing as I felt so much at ease while saying, âHmmâ to him.

week ago, I experienced a moment that left me utterly speechless. It felt like everything I had worked for throughout my life was culminating in this one event. When Maa called the pandit ji and he announced our wedding date for next week, a wave of excitement surged through me. I was elated, filled with anticipation for what lay ahead.
But in that moment of joy, I noticed tears brimming in her eyes. Confused, I asked her what was wrong, and she revealed that she had an exam the day before our wedding. Her innocence struck me deeply; it was a bittersweet reminder of the life we were about to embark on together. I loved everything about herâher quirks, her worries, her essence. She is mine, and I am hers to love.
Never did I think I would be marrying someone so special, but here I am, preparing to take that step tomorrow morning at 11 AM. As I reflect on the journey that brought us to this moment, I realize that love, with all its intricacies, is a beautiful adventure that I am ready to embrace.
For the past month, Iâve been focused on wrapping up my work, trying to finish everything so I could fully enjoy the beautiful days ahead with my biwi shahiba. I wanted to ensure that I wouldnât have any distractions or lingering responsibilities when our time together finally arrived.
I saw how hard she was studying, immersed in her exams, and I didnât want to disturb her during this crucial phase of her life. It was important to me that she had the space to discover her own path, to find her own expression and grace as she navigated through her challenges.
Her dedication inspired me. I admired her commitment and resilience, knowing that, together, we could create a life filled with love and support. Even amidst the chaos of preparations and her academic pursuits, I cherished the thought of being by her side, ready to celebrate our new journey together.
With every passing day, I felt my anticipation grow. I couldnât wait to start this chapter of our lives, hand in hand, as partners, and watch her blossom into the incredible woman she is meant to be.
"TALASE JISM KE JAMANE MEH"
("In the world of flesh and bodies")
"MAI UNKE RUHH KA KAIDA HO HOGYA"
("I have become the essence of their soul")
As soon as my soon-to-be-missus finished her exams, I knew I wanted to take her out on a dateâour first and last date before the wedding. It felt essential to create a special moment together, just the two of us, before we stepped into this new chapter of our lives.
I wanted to make it unforgettable, a day filled with laughter and love, where we could relax and enjoy each otherâs company without the stress of exams or wedding preparations hanging over us. I planned every detail, hoping to sweep her off her feet and remind her just how much she means to me.
This date was more than just a celebration; it was a chance to connect, to savor our time together, and to reflect on the beautiful journey that awaited us. I couldn't wait to see her smile, to hold her hand, and to cherish this fleeting moment before we became husband and wife.
" A DINNER DATE , WITH MY BETU >>>>> WIFE "
As soon as my madam stepped out of the college corridor, her precious eyesâlike black diamondsâmet mine. I pretended to be lost in thought, fiddling with my phone, but I could clearly see the question in her eyes: âWhy are we wearing this mask?â
I tried to play it cool, to ease the atmosphere, but my princessâoh, sorry, my queenâwas already feeling the weight of the moment. She exhaled deeply and seemed to drift into her own thoughts, perhaps overwhelmed by everything happening around us.
At that moment, I felt a mix of emotions. I wanted to lighten the mood, to remind her that we were in this together, but I also understood the significance of the day. I resolved to be her anchor, to bring back her smile, and to show her that, no matter the challenges, we would face them side by side.

s they approached the grand Rajawat mansion, the evening air was thick with the aroma of jasmine and the distant sounds of laughter from the evening festivities. Yet, within the walls of the mansion, a serene hush enveloped the royal chambers. The queen, weary from the dayâs events, had already succumbed to the gentle embrace of sleep.
Mr. King, a figure of quiet strength and undeniable charm, moved stealthily through the corridors, ensuring not a single soul detected his presence. With practiced ease, he lifted her into his arms, her head resting comfortably against his shoulder. The softness of her gown contrasted sharply with the solidness of his form as he navigated the darkened halls, each step purposeful yet careful.
Entering her room, he set her down gently on the bed, the silken sheets whispering beneath her as she stirred. Her eyelids fluttered open, revealing the depths of her surprise. For a fleeting moment, she was caught between the veil of dreams and the reality of his presence, her heart racing like a startled bird.
Sitting upright, she blinked at him, the remnants of sleep still clouding her thoughts. She appeared every bit the royal queen, yet in this moment, she resembled a startled child, her wide eyes gleaming with confusion. It was as if a thief had intruded upon her sanctuary, ready to unleash chaos in her tranquil realm.
Mr. King chuckled softly at the sight, appreciating the contrast between her regal demeanor and the playful innocence that shone through. He knew he had surprised her, the very essence of mischief swirling between them in the air thick with unspoken words and emotions.
" Aapko kya hua?â ( what happened to you )Aadish asked, concerned about lacing his tone as he studied her. Avantika just stared at him, her eyes wide and unblinking, as if he were an alien standing before her.
âKya hua, jaana?â ( what happens, Janna ")he pressed gently, sensing her silence. When she didnât respond, he slowly reached for her hand, the warmth of his touch igniting a spark of connection between them. He pulled her closer, encouraging her to come into his embrace. Avantika hesitated for a moment, then moved toward him, blinking cutely as if waking from a dream.
âJaan, can we have dinner tonight?â Aadish asked, his voice soft but filled with anticipation.
Avantikaâs eyes lit up as she shook her head vigorously, a quick nod that spoke volumes. Her enthusiasm was palpable, and Aadish's heart swelled with excitement at her response.
A broad smile spread across his face, illuminating his features. The worry that had briefly etched lines on his forehead melted away, replaced by a warmth that enveloped them both. âGreat! Iâve been waiting for this,â he said, the thrill of the moment buzzing between them like a live wire.
He couldnât help but notice how her presence brightened the dimly lit room, making everything feel more vibrant. âLetâs make it special,â he added, determination lighting his eyes as he imagined the perfect evening ahead.
But as the weight of his words settled in her mind, Avantika quickly shook her head, her expression shifting from excitement to urgency. The playful glimmer in her eyes dimmed as she looked at him, a pleading look etched on her face.
âHume na ek important kaam hai... plsssâ (We have an important task to do... please), she implored, her voice soft yet insistent, making the cutest face that would normally melt anyoneâs heart. Aadish felt his resolve waver as he stared at her, caught between his desire to share a moment with her and the reality of her commitment.
His heart raced, yet his mind questioned her sincerity. Kya mujhse bhi zyada? (Is it more important than me?) The thought echoed within him, a flicker of uncertainty creeping in. Did she truly have something more important than the dinner they had just planned?
âAavantika,â he finally asked, his tone a mix of curiosity and concern. âKya yeh kaam mujhse bhi zyada zaroori hai?â (Is this task more important than me?)
Her eyes widened, the weight of the question hanging between them. The innocence of her expression told him she understood the gravity of what he was asking. It was a moment suspended in time, a delicate dance of emotions that defined their relationship.
She hesitated, her mind racing as she processed his question. How could she convey the importance of her task without making him feel less valued?
Aadish watched her intently, his heart heavy with the thought that something could come between them at this moment. The air grew thick with anticipation as he awaited her response, both hopeful and anxious for her answer.
And she simply said, âUmm... nahi... par kya hum 10 baje nahi ja sakte, ji?â (Umm... no... but canât we go at 10 o'clock, please?)
âJi, bilkul ja sakte hain... magar aapko kaam kya hai, betu?â (Yes, of course we can... but what is the work you have, dear?) he asked, gently moving her hair from her face and tucking it behind her ears.
In that moment, as Avantika stood on the bed, he was almost at the same height as her, allowing them to have an intimate face-to-face conversation. She pouted slightly, a mix of annoyance and playfulness in her expression.
Aadish was oblivious to the plans she had made with her brothers that night, leaving him confused about her priorities. He didnât realize that the âimportant workâ she was referring to involved no one other than his brothers, the very people he would be spending the evening with.
As she looked into his eyes, the uncertainty in his gaze made her heart flutter. Would he understand that her commitment to family didnât diminish her feelings for him? Would he appreciate the delicate balance she was trying to maintain?
The tension hung in the air, a sweet mix of confusion and affection, drawing them closer in the shared space of their emotions.
âIts a secret, na Mr. Rajawat?â she said this time, coating her words with a sugary sweetness that dripped from her lips.
And our Majnu boy was always ready to die for his Laila, a.k.a Avantika.
âAchha ji... secret? Aur vo bhi humse janna?â (Oh really? A secret? And you want to tell me?) Aadish replied, pulling her close, their bodies almost merging as he hugged her tightly. He nestled his face into the crook of her neck, breathing in her scent, his warmth enveloping her.
In that moment, he waited for her response, oblivious to the rapid beating of her heart, which felt as though it would burst from her chest. His touch was intoxicating, making it difficult for her to catch her breath. After nearly seven long days apart, he held her the way she had never imaginedâwarm and protective, yet so achingly close.
But even as her heart raced and her body responded to him, she wasnât ready to reveal her secret. She wanted to keep it hidden, safeguarding it as if it were a precious treasure, a delicate whisper that was just theirs to hold. The conflict within her grew, caught between her love for him and the loyalty she felt toward her brothers, knowing that some secrets were best kept in the shadows.
âTell me, Avantika,â he urged softly, pulling back just enough to gaze into her eyes, searching for answers in the depths of her gaze. The air between them was electric, charged with the unspoken words and emotions that hung heavily in the silence.
âMr. R, der ho rahi hai, hum jaye?â (Mr. R, itâs getting late, should we go?) she asked, her fingers gently caressing his hair. Despite her reluctance to leave, she knew she had to fulfill the commitments she had made to her brothers.
Slowly moving his head away, Aadish replied, âAapka jaana zaruri hai.â (You must go.) He said this with a small pout, secretly hoping she might change her mind and stay. But Avantika was a force of her own, and no one could easily persuade her.
With a resigned nod, she confirmed, âJi, â (Yes), though her heart was still tangled in the moment they had just shared. Aadish, relieved yet still uncertain, stood up without a second thought, his mind racing with thoughts of her commitment, leaving Avantika feeling all the more confused.
As he walked away, the lingering warmth of his embrace made her heart ache with longing. She bit her lip, torn between duty and desire, wanting to tell him everything but fearing his reaction. The uncertainty of their situation weighed heavily on her, creating a knot in her stomach.
Aadish, oblivious to her inner turmoil, walked ahead with purpose, his thoughts consumed by the eveningâs plans. Meanwhile, Avantika followed, her heart racing with a mix of emotionsâlove, confusion, and a lingering sense of secrecy that she wished she could share with him. Would he ever understand the complexities of her world?
(I am thinking our queen herself is a red forest...)
