"Even though Ren Yuan is the inheritor of the God of Heaven, he's not the God of Heaven himself," she said, her voice laced with mockery. "Why should we pledge our loyalty to him?" Chun Yue's expression remained unchanged, her eyes fixed on Ying Xue.

The hall fell silent, the weight of Chun Yue's words hanging in the air. Even Xifang Shun seemed momentarily taken aback by her boldness. But Ying Xue was not so easily intimidated.
