Chapter 2580: Clash of Ancestors (2)

Mo Xie's eyes narrowed as he recognized the figure before him. "Long Yi," he said, his voice filled with surprise. "I didn't expect to see you here. I thought you had succumbed to the
Primordial Decay."
Long Yi stood calmly in the vast expanse of space, his silver hair and beard flowing gently as if carried by an unseen wind. His eyes, ancient and wise, locked onto Mo Xie with a gaze that seemed to pierce through the very fabric of reality.
The space around them was empty, a void where stars and planets were but distant specks. There was no ground beneath their feet, only the infinite expanse of the cosmos. Yet, both gods stood as if rooted to an invisible plane, their auras radiating power that warped the space around them.
Mo Xie's lips curled into a cold smile, his dark energy swirling around him like a storm. "Long Yi," he said, his voice calm but laced with mockery. "You've recovered from the Primordial Decay. I must admit, I'm impressed. But tell me, why waste your time protecting this insignificant lower realm? What meaning does it hold for you?"
Long Yi's expression remained serene, his voice steady and composed. "The Azure World may be a lower realm, but it is the birthplace of Yun Lintian. You come here not because you wish to deal a great blow to him, but because you fear him. You fear that he will grow beyond your control, just as Yun Tian did in the past."
Mo Xie's smile faltered for a fraction of a second, his eyes narrowing slightly. But he quickly regained his composure, his tone still calm. "Fear? Me? You overestimate Yun Lintian. He is nothing but a pawn in a game far beyond his understanding."
Long Yi's gaze never wavered. "If that were true, you would not be here. Your actions betray your words, Mo Xie. You are afraid, and that fear drives you to destroy what you cannot control."
Mo Xie's calm demeanor cracked ever so slightly, a flicker of anger flashing in his eyes. No one had ever spoken to him like this, no one had ever looked down on him with such calm assurance.
He was the first Ancient Devil God Ancestor, a being of immense power and authority. Yet here was Long Yi, an old dragon who had barely survived the Primordial Decay, speaking to him as if he were a child.
"You dare?" Mo Xie's voice was low, but the threat in his tone was unmistakable. "You think you can provoke me with your words? You are nothing but a relic of a bygone era, Long Yi. Your time has passed."
Long Yi's expression remained unchanged. "Perhaps. But even a relic can shine brightly when the time is right."
The tension between them was palpable, the space around them warping under the weight of their auras.
"You are a tough nut to crack as usual," Mo Xie uttered coldly. "Let's see how long you can last."
He raised his hand, and a massive wave of dark energy erupted from his palm. The energy surged toward Long Yi, its destructive power threatening to consume everything in its path. Long Yi stood his ground, his expression calm. He raised his hand, and a golden dragon materialized in front of him. The dragon roared, its voice shaking the heavens as it lunged at the wave of dark energy.
BOOOM!!
The two forces collided with a deafening explosion, the impact sending shockwaves rippling through the void. The space around them shattered, and the air was filled with the sound of clashing energy.
When the dust settled, both combatants stood unharmed, their auras still radiating with
power.
"Give up," Long Yi said calmly. "You won't do anything with me here."
Mo Xie's eyes narrowed with a trace of anger. "Don't be arrogant."
He raised his hand again, and the dark energy around him intensified. The void itself seemed to tremble as he prepared to unleash his full power.
Rumble-
The space around Mo Xie began to distort violently, as if the very fabric of reality was being torn apart. His dark energy surged, forming a massive vortex of destruction that swirled around him like a tempest.
The air grew heavy, and the void seemed to groan under the weight of his power. Mo Xie's eyes glowed with a cold, malevolent light as he prepared to unleash his ultimate attack.
"Take this!"
With a roar, Mo Xie thrust his fist forward. The vortex of dark energy condensed into a single, devastating punch, imbued with the Law of Destruction...
