5. More rogues
My little mate, aria
Aria
As Christian ran through the woods, he came to a stop. He immediately bent down telling me to get off. A low, deep growl came from him as he took a protective stance in front of me. Three pairs of red eyes glowed in the dark as they made their way from the bushes. They way Christian was growling and standing in front of me, I knew they were rogues. Just then, they all lunged at Christian. He jumped in the air then falling and crushing a rogue under him. A loud whimper sounded and a pop. The rogue with Christian went limp and his eyes went dull. Another rogue went after Christian tackling him down to the ground. Yelps and growls echoed around me as the two wolves fought. Just then, a huge brown wolf with red eyes started walking up to me. I screamed and started backing away. Christian's head snapped in my direction and his eyes went dark. He bit down on the rogues neck and threw it against a tree. My heart was beating so fast I thought it would beat out of my chest. Memories of my mum and dad started filling my head, the look of my mums lifeless eyes staring at me, the last Yelp my dad let out. All of a sudden, the rogue stopped coming towards me, it body fell to the ground. Christians black wolf stood there holding a wolf head in its mouth. His canines dripping with blood as he started at me. He ran behind a tree and came back out again with shorts on. Christian ran up to me pulling me into a hug. "Are you ok? Did they hurt you?" He searched my body. Tears ran down my face and Christian put my head in the crook of his neck. "Shh, it's alright. I got you," he whispered comforting things in my ear as he walked back to the house.
Josh, jack, James and Patrick were all waiting for us. "Oh my god, aria," uncle Patrick yelled and took me from Christian. "Are you ok honey?" Patrick put me on the floor cupping my cheeks so I would look at him. "They killed mummy and daddy," I whispered. I heard whimpers behind me and then footsteps leaving the kitchen. When I turned around, Christian was gone.
Christian
"Are you ok honey?" Patrick looked at my little mate with soft eyes. "They killed mummy and daddy," aria whispered with more tears forming. Whimpers left me. Seeing my mate upset made me feel bad. I felt partly responsible that she had to see all that at such a young age. The need to comfort her overwhelmed me, as she was with her uncle I had to leave. I went to my office to get some work done to get my mind off things. Not long after, a knock came from the door. "Come in," I called out. Patrick came in and sat down in front of my desk. "Why did you leave?" His voice came out just a voice a whisper. "I couldn't see her like that. It hurt me to see her sad and hurt," I put my head down. "I get it," was all he replied with. "Where is she now?" I looked at him. "I put her to bed. It's late and she got tired so I layed with her until she fell asleep. I'll see you tomorrow alpha," Patrick bowed his head and left my office. At around 12:30am I rubbed my eyes and decided to go to bed.
My bedroom door opened and I heard small cries. Arias scent filled my nose and I shot up. She stood there holding her teddy bear crying. I quickly got out of my bed and picked her up. "I've got you. What's wrong?" I rubbed her back. I went back to my bed and layed down again. "I had a bad dream," aria sniffled. "Want to tell me about it?" I wiped her eyes. "I saw my mummy and daddy. It was my birthday and then rogues came. I saw them kill my mummy and daddy," aria whispered and cried. "Shh. It's alright. I've got you now, no one will hurt you," I pulled her close to my chest. "Promise?" Aria looked up at me with sad eyes. "I will always be here to protect you little wolf," I smiled. Aria snuggled her face into my chest taking a deep breath. Her small body relaxed as she fell asleep again. I pulled the covers over us and went to sleep myself. The last thought on my mind was keeping my promise to aria. My mate, my little wolf, my everything.
