3. Three years later
My little mate, aria
Christian
Thunder and lightning sounded through the house. As an alpha I could hear it all but I still slept peacefully. My door opened and little feet padded over to me. "Christian," I heard a small sniffle. I opened one eye and saw aria stood there, she had her teddy bear in one hand and tears in her eyes. "What's wrong little wolf?" I sat up and picked her up and placed her on my bed. "The thunder. I don't like it," she whispered and cried. "It's alright. I'll keep you safe," I hugged her. "Can I stay with you?" Aria looked at me. "Of course," I smiled. I put aria down on one side of the bed and I layed back down on the other side. A few minutes passed and i felt something snuggle up to my chest. My eyes opened and looked down. Aria was curled up in a ball with her face buried in my chest. I felt my body relax as I felt the sparks go up my chest. My lips curled up to a small smile and I bent down to kiss her head. "Good night little wolf," I smiled. "Night Christian," aria mumbled from my chest. A laugh came from both of us at the sound from aria. "Your so weird," I chuckled. "I have no idea what your going on about," aria mumbled. "Sure little wolf. Whatever helps you sleep at night," I patted her head. Before aria could answer, there was a clash of thunder making aria scream and snuggle into me more. "Stupid thunder," she shouted but it came out muffled as her face was still in my chest. "Get some sleep little wolf. We have training tomorrow," I kissed her head once more then closed my eyes. "Night alpha," aria whispered. "Night little wolf," I sighed and went back to sleep.
The sun shined on my face waking me up. My bed felt cold so I knew aria had left. "Wakey, wakey. I made you breakfast," aria burst through my door. "Did you seriously cook by yourself," I tried to hide my smile. "No," she sighed. "Uncle Patrick made it," aria added. "10 for the effort kiddo," I laughed. "He only cooked. I put it on the plate," she defended herself. "Your such a trouble maker aren't you. Eight years old and trying to cook," I burst out laughing. "I don't see you trying," aria pouted. "Because you and Patrick always beat me to it," I shook my head. "Oh well. Eat up we have training," aria ran over to my bed pushing the plate in my face. "Thanks little wolf. Where's yours?" I furrowed my eyebrows and took the plate. "Already eaten," she smiled. "Good. Go get dressed and I'll meet at the training area, alright," I smiled down at her. Aria nodded then ran out of my room slamming the door shut behind her. "Aria," I shouted trying to sound mad. "Yeah," she came back into my room with a guilty smile. "Come here," my voice was stern. She walked over to the side of the bed slowly shying away. "Yes," aria cowered down. I bent over the bed and kissed her head. "Go get ready," I smiled. "I thought I was going to get yelled at," aria breathed out. "Why would i yell at you?" I frowned feeling upset that my little mate would think that I would shout at her. "Because I slammed the door," she shrugged. "No, just messing around. Now go get ready before your late. Don't forget to shower as well," I ruffled her head of black curls. "That's not fair," aria pouted. "Alright," I laughed and bent down so she could mess up my hair as well. "Can we go out after training? I want to see wolfy," aria gave me her cutest puppy eyes that I could never say no to. "Sure," I gave in. "Yes," she smiled. "Now go get in the shower. You little wolf don't smell the best," I joked with her. "I do. Your the smelly one," aria frowned. "Of course. Now go," I laughed. Aria giggled then ran out of my room slamming the door shut again. "Aria stop slamming my door," I shouted. "Sorry," she yelled back making me laugh. I quickly ate my breakfast and got into the shower. After I dried myself off, I changed into some grey joggers and a black T-shirt.
Once I was done, I went up to arias room to see if she was there or at the training area. "Aria?" I knocked on the door as I heard water running. Just then, I heard a loud bang. I burst through the door and into the en suit in her room. "Aria," I called out when I saw her laying on the floor. Her hair and body was wet on the floor as she layed there with nothing covering her. I grabbed a towel and wrapped her up. Blood ran down her face from her forehead as she had cut it. "Shit," I muttered and ran out of the house to the pack doctors.
"She hit her head pretty hard. It'll heal in no time but for a week let her stay at the pack house. No training and do not let aria do things by herself," the doctor told me. "Ok," I nodded. I picked up a sleeping aria and took her back to my house. "How is she?" Patrick asked me with worry all over his face. "She's fine. Just can't train or do much by herself for a week," I replied. "As her mate you should have been watching her more carefully," Patrick spat out. Aria woke up rubbing her eyes. "Go to your room little wolf. I'll come check on you soon," I told her and put her on the ground. Aria sleepily nodded and and left the living room and up the stairs. "Why wasn't you at least in the room while she showered?" Patrick sighed. "Because it's getting harder to be around her. I can feel the mate bond getting stronger as she gets older," I ran a hand over my face. "Try and keep it at bay alpha. Until she's 18, ten years and then you can have her. I believe you can do it," he patted my shoulder then left the house. This is going to be much harder than what I thought.
