20. The end
My little mate, aria
Aria
It has been 10 years since my little boy was born. Me and Christian went on to have three more kids. We had Alana and Myra our twins and benny our youngest boy. Two boys and two girls, the twins being 7 and benny being 4. "Kids, come get food," I called out. I heard a bunch of feet running to the kitchen and then chairs being pulled along the floor. Arms wrapped around my waist and a chest pressed against my back. The sparks going crazy in my body told me exactly who it was. I leaned into his touch resting my head in his shoulder. "Why are you so stressed?" Christian whispered in my ear then started nibbling on my ear lobe. "It's the day my parent died. Also my birthday so it's just going great," I sighed. "Have you spoke to kole today? I know he usually comes around by now?" Christian asked. "No, I might see him when I put the kids to bed. I know he likes to see them before they go to sleep," I answered. "Alright, I've got work to do after dinner so tell him I said hi," he kissed my cheek and sat down with the kids. I placed all the plates in front of everyone and joined them on the table. "Mummy, are we seeing uncle Patrick today?" Myra asked. "When have you ever gone a day without seeing me?" Patrick walked in. Josh, James and jack following after him. "Always here," me and Christian mumbled. We all started eating with the guys sat down with us. "Have you seen kole today?" Patrick mind linked me. "No, I think he's waiting to see the kids when they go to bed. That's when he usually comes anyway," I told him. "I'm going upstairs quick," I announced and left the kitchen. I ran up the stairs and bumped into a hard chest. "Dammit kole," I whispered yelled. "You were taking forever so I thought I'd come down," he laughed. "Whatever. Are you coming, we're all eating dinner," I looked up at him. "What's wrong little sissy?" Kole grew serious. "Nothing I'm all good here," I replied, sarcasm evident in my voice. "What's going on aria?" Kole sat us down on the stairs. "It's my birthday today," I shrugged. I could already feel tears falling down my cheeks. "It's not a bad thing aria. Why are you crying?" Kole questioned. "It's the day they died kole," I cried. He didn't hesitate to pull me into a hug and let my cry. "It's alright. They wouldn't want you to be sad, especially on your birthday," kole laughed a little. "I know, it's still hard though," I sighed. Christian must have felt my discomfort as he stood at the bottom of the stairs. I left kole's embrace and went down to my mate. I sobbed into his chest while Kole stood next to him. "I'm going to go see the kids," Kole put his hand on my arm then walked away. Christian whispered things in my ear to calm me down. After a few minutes I wiped my eyes and went back to the kitchen. When we walked in, Josh, James and jack were looking at kole strangely. "Who's that?" The three guys looked at me and Christian. "That's my brother, kole. Uncle Patrick did you not introduce Kole to the guys?" I giggled. "No, I thought they've already met," he shrugged. "Well, I'm kole, and I need to go," he smiled. "Already?" The kids whined. "I know it sucks," kole pouted and stomped his feet like a child. Me and Christian tried to hold in our laughter. "But, I need to be somewhere. I'll be back tomorrow and maybe I can stay a bit longer," kole smiled at them. Cj, benny and the twins all ran and hugged his legs. "We'll miss you uncle kole," they all said in unison. "I'll miss you to kiddos, be good for your mum. Your dad is a different story since he's an old man and can't move around like he used to," kole chuckled. "I'll still be able to beat your ass if it came to it," Christian mumbled. "Whatever you say honey," kole blew him a kiss. Christian shook his head and went back to eating. "Now go eat, be good and don't play up. Your mum is having a tough day so do as your told," kole hugged them. "We will," the kids smiled. After they said their goodbyes, kole left and the kids ate their food.
Once me and Christian put the kids to bed, we sat in bed. "Happy birthday," Christian whispered in my ear. "You've already said it today, you don't need to say it again," I giggled. "Really, I never knew," he said sarcastically. "Shut up," I hit his chest. "I'm kidding little wolf," Christian chuckled. "Thank you for the gift. I really like it," I kissed him. "My pleasure little wolf, I'll never fail to get you something each year," he pulled me closer to him. "I love you Christian," I looked at him. "I love you to little wolf," he leaned in a kissed me. I've never been happier, if I had never met Christian I don't know where or who I would be. Being with him made me who I am now and I was grateful for all of the times he's been there for me. Not only as a guardian and friend but a mate. When I was with my mum she would always tell me that a mate was someone you could always rely on, he would be the perfect person to you no matter what they have done in their lives. A mate would never let you down and would always be there for you on your darkest days. And for me, that was Christian, my light in the dark, knight in black fur and most of all my best friend. I couldn't have asked for a better mate to be by my side. All because he found me in a hole in a tree. I'm his little mate.
