(Rudraksh)

Rudraksh had arrived at a seven-star hotel for an important business meeting with an American client. The discussions went smoothly, and they successfully signed the deal. The client, pleased with the outcome, insisted that Rudraksh join them for lunch to celebrate. However, Rudraksh, always composed and professional, respectfully and politely declined the offer. He expressed his gratitude but explained that he had other commitments. Despite their insistence, he remained firm yet courteous, ensuring that his refusal did not come across as rude.

Rudraksh: "Sorry, gentlemen. I would have joined you for lunch, but I promised my wife to spend the day with her, so I need to leave to reach on time."

Client: "Oh, your wife? Then it's more important. Carry on, young man."

Rudraksh exchanged a polite smile with the clients as he firmly shook their hands. With a slight nod of acknowledgment, he turned on his heels to leave, his posture exuding confidence and authority.

Rudraksh: "Roses lekar jaata hu, vaise hi late hu Ruhh bechari bhookhi hogi aur gussa karegi alag."

(I'll take some roses with me. I'm already late, and poor Ruhh must be hungry. She’ll be angry too.)

Rudraksh smiled to himself as his thoughts drifted to Ruhanika. A sense of warmth filled his heart, but just as he stepped out of the hotel and reached for his car door, a sudden loud crash echoed through the air.

Rudraksh: "Ahhhhhh"

Robert: "Siirrrrrrr"

The sound of shattering glass jolted him, and his eyes widened in shock as he saw the window of his car completely smashed. His breath hitched, and his body tensed as he quickly scanned his surroundings, his instincts immediately going on high alert.

Robert rushed straight to Rudraksh, his eyes widening in shock as he grabbed Rudraksh's hand, now smeared with fresh blood. The sudden sight sent a ripple of panic through the luxurious hotel. Rudraksh's bodyguards immediately sprang into action, their senses sharp as they began scanning the area, trying to determine what had just happened. Guests and staff froze, murmurs spreading like wildfire, while an air of tension gripped the place. Rudraksh, however, remained composed, his jaw clenched as he assessed his injury, while Robert looked at him with deep concern.

Bodyguard: "Sir, I found this bullet. Someone has fired a shot."

Rudraksh: "Then what the hell are you waiting for??? Go and find him!"

The man bolted from the scene, disappearing into the chaos. Rudraksh clenched his jaw, his breath hitching as a sharp wave of pain shot through his arm. The bullet had barely missed him, grazing his skin and leaving a deep wound on his hand.

Despite the pain, his instincts kicked in. His eyes darkened with fury as he swiftly pulled out his own gun, scanning the area with a calculated gaze. His bodyguards spread out, searching for the attacker, while the crowd panicked, some ducking for cover and others watching in shock.

Robert: "Sir, let’s go to the hospital first."

Rudraksh: "Go and find that man, Robert!"

Robert: "Sir, our men will handle everything, but please, let’s go to the hospital first, or else ma’am will get more tense."

Rudraksh's eyes darkened with fury as he shot a sharp glare at him, his jaw clenching tightly. The tension in the air grew thick, making it clear that he was holding back his anger with great effort.

Rudraksh: "Ruhh ko kuch pata nahi chalna chahiye."

(Ruhh must not find out anything.)

Robert looked at Rudraksh with fear evident in his eyes, his throat dry as he gulped nervously. Rudraksh’s gaze locked onto him, and in that instant, realization struck him like a bolt of lightning. His eyes widened as the pieces fell into place, understanding everything in a heartbeat.

Rudraksh: "How did she know??"

Robert: "Sir, actually, your phone was switched off, so ma’am called me at that time. This all happened while I was on the call with her. She heard the gunshot."

Rudraksh's eyes went wide with alarm as a single thought consumed his mind—Ruhanika. A surge of concern washed over him, making his heart race. The pain from his bleeding hand was completely forgotten; it no longer mattered. His only focus was his wife.

Rudraksh: "I won’t leave you, Robert, if my Ruhh cried."

Rudraksh didn’t think twice before shoving Robert aside and sprinting towards the car. His heart pounded wildly against his chest, his mind consumed by only one thought—reaching his wife. Without delay, he yanked open the driver’s door, snatched the keys from the driver’s hands, and slid into the seat. His hands gripped the steering wheel tightly as he shifted gears in one swift motion. The tires screeched against the pavement as the car lunged forward, speeding down the road like a storm unleashed.

Robert and his men immediately followed, knowing all too well that Rudraksh was in no state to travel alone. It was dangerous, reckless even, but Robert also knew that no amount of reasoning would work right now. Rudraksh was driving like a madman, breaking every traffic rule, ignoring the blaring horns and flashing signals. Speed limits meant nothing to him—not when every second counted, not when his wife needed him. His jaw clenched, his eyes burned with determination, and his grip on the steering wheel tightened further.

Nothing else mattered.

He had to reach her.

Rudraksh swiftly dialed Rishwik's number, and before the first ring could even complete, Rishwik picked up, his urgent voice echoing through the receiver.

Rishwik: "Bhai kya hua hai?? Angel is crying too much and keh rahi hai use aapke pass le chalu."

(Bhai, what happened? Angel is crying too much and saying she wants to go to you.)

Rudraksh: "Don’t let her leave the house, Chote. I’ll be there in 10 minutes."

Rishwik agreed without hesitation, and Rudraksh immediately hung up the call. His grip tightened on the steering wheel as he pressed the accelerator, speeding down the road with determination in his eyes.

Rudraksh: "Bas kuch der aur khudko sambhal lo Jaan, main aa raha hu."

(Just hold on for a little longer, my love. I’m coming.)

Rudraksh pressed the accelerator with full force, his car roaring as it tore through the streets at an alarming speed. His bodyguards struggled to keep up, their vehicles swerving through traffic in an attempt to match his reckless pace. Despite the challenge, they managed to stay on his tail, knowing there was no way they could let him go unprotected. As promised by his sheer determination, Rudraksh reached RM Mansion in just ten minutes. He didn’t bother with the driveway or parking properly—his car screeched to a halt right in front of the main entrance. Without wasting a second, he flung the door open and stepped out.

The guards stationed at the mansion stood frozen in shock, their eyes immediately landing on his right hand—completely drenched in blood. The deep red starkly contrasted against his skin, dripping onto the ground with every movement he made. Their shock only deepened when they noticed something even more unbelievable. Despite his injury, Rudraksh showed no sign of pain, at least not due to injury. The sheer intensity in his eyes spoke volumes—he had only one goal in mind. Nothing else mattered. Not the blood, not the pain, not the chaos. Only his wife.

Rudraksh rushed inside. The house was eerily quiet, with only Simrat and Rishwik present—Rishwik having arrived just as Ruhanika was leaving. His eyes darted around, searching for any sign of Ruhanika, concern creeping into his expression.

Ruhanika: "Nahi Ri..shi bhai, hume in..ke pass jaana hai v...o v..o takleef me ha..I"

(No, Ri…shi bhai, I… have to go to him. H…he is in pain.)

Rishwik: "Angel Rona band karo Bhai aate honge."

(Angel, stop crying. Bhai must be on his way.)

Ruhanika struggled desperately in Rishwik’s grip, her entire body trembling with the force of her emotions. He held her firmly, refusing to let go, knowing that if he did, she would run out to search for Rudraksh—completely oblivious to her own safety. She wasn’t in her senses, her mind clouded with worry, fear, and an overwhelming desperation to see her husband. Rudraksh stormed in, his breath heavy, his right hand still dripping with blood, but none of that mattered the moment his eyes fell on her. His entire world came crashing down.

Ruhanika’s face was drenched in tears, her cheeks flushed a deep red from relentless crying. Her body shook in helpless sobs, her lips quivering as she continued struggling in Rishwik’s hold. Rudraksh felt an unbearable pain shoot through his chest, as if someone had ripped his heart apart. His worst nightmare had always been seeing tears in her eyes—and now, watching her in such a broken state because of him, it shattered him into a million pieces. His fists clenched, his jaw tightened, but before anything else, he took a slow, painful step forward. He needed to be by her side. He needed to hold her, to soothe her, to take away the agony that was crushing both of them.

Rudraksh: "Ruhhh, Mera betu"

Ruhanika's heart pounded as she saw Rudraksh. Her eyes widened in fear, and before anyone could stop her, she pushed past Rishwik and sprinted towards him. Without hesitation, she threw herself into his arms, wrapping him in a tight embrace as if trying to shield him from any more harm.

Rudraksh’s arms instantly came around her, holding her close, his grip protective and firm. In that moment, it didn’t matter who was watching—he only cared about the trembling girl in his arms. His hand throbbed with pain, but he didn’t flinch. Instead, he gently stroked Ruhanika’s hair. Rishwik and Simrat's eyes widened in shock as they noticed the blood on Rudraksh's right hand.

Ruhanika: "Ky..a hua tha, v...o buri awaaz ph..ir Robert bhaiya b...hi chil...aye, aap..."

(W…what happened? That scary sound, a…and then Robert bhaiya sh…outed too, you—)

Rudraksh gently caressed Ruhanika's head, his touch filled with concern and comfort. Simrat and Rishwik approached him, their expressions reflecting the same worry.

Rudraksh: "Shh Ruhhh, main bilkul thik hu Betu, Rona nahi please yaar."

(Shh, Ruhhh. I’m absolutely fine, Betu. Don’t cry, please.)

Simrat: "Pura haath khoon se lath path hai."

(His entire hand is covered in blood.)

Rishwik: "Bhai ye... Ye kaise??"

(Bhai… How did this happen?)

Ruhanika quickly pulled back, her eyes widening in shock as they landed on his hand. Without a second thought, she immediately grasped it, her fingers trembling slightly as she examined it with concern.

Ruhanika: "Ye... Ye.. aapko dard, ta..kleef, aap ye.."

(Th…this pain, y…you—)

Rudraksh gently cupped her face, his thumbs tenderly wiping away her tears as he caressed her cheeks.

Rudraksh: "Shhhh, shhhh jaanaa, shhh chup, kuch nahi hua hai thik hu main bilkul."

(Shhh, shhh, jaan. Shhh, stop. Nothing happened, I’m completely fine.)

Rudraksh's vision started blurring, but he fought hard to stay conscious. His grip on Ruhanika’s face loosened slightly as he swayed. Just then, Robert came rushing inside, his face filled with worry.

Rishwik: "Robert, what the hell is this??"

Robert: "Sir, I have called the doctor. Let sir get treated first, then we can talk."

Ruhanika: "Akksshhhhhhhhh"

Ruhanika gasped in panic as Rudraksh collapsed onto her, his weight almost knocking her over. Instinctively, she wrapped her arms around him, holding him close as fear gripped her heart. Rishwik and Robert rushed forward, quickly catching hold of him and gently pulling him away from Ruhanika. Their eyes widened in alarm as they saw him completely unconscious. Ruhanika’s eyes filled with tears as she held onto Rudraksh’s limp hand. Everyone around was scared for him, their hearts pounding in worry.

Ruhanika: "Akk...shhh a...ap"

(Akk…shhh y…you—)

Simrat: "Nahi kuch nahi hoga beta"

(No, nothing will happen, beta.)

Simrat held Ruhanika, trying to calm her down, but her sobs didn’t stop. Her entire body trembled as she clutched onto Simrat’s arm, her tear-streaked face filled with nothing but fear and distress. No words, no comfort could soothe her—not until she saw that Rudraksh was safe. Meanwhile, Rishwik and Robert carefully lifted Rudraksh’s limp body and carried him to his room. Their steps were hurried yet cautious, their expressions grim as they laid him gently on the bed. Without wasting a second, Ruhanika rushed to his side, seating herself on the left. Her trembling hands reached for his, holding it tightly as if her touch alone could bring him back to consciousness. She let out a choked sob, her fingers caressing his cold skin.

On the other side, Rishwik sat down on the right, his own face etched with concern. He placed a comforting hand on Rudraksh’s forehead, silently praying for him to wake up. Moments later, the doctor arrived, followed closely by the rest of the family. The atmosphere grew heavier with tension and worry as everyone gathered around the bed, their hearts filled with fear for Rudraksh’s condition. The doctor wasted no time, examining Rudraksh’s wound with a sharp focus. Carefully, he treated the injury, cleaning and dressing it while the room remained silent except for Ruhanika’s occasional sniffles.

Just as the doctor was finishing up, he reached into his bag and prepared an injection. The sight of it made Ruhanika tense, her grip on Rudraksh’s hand tightening involuntarily. She hated seeing him like this—wounded, in pain, surrounded by worried faces. It was unbearable.

Ruhanika: "N..ahi, injection mat d..ijiye, unhe ta..kleef hogi."

(N..o, d…don’t give him an in…jection. It will h…hurt him.)

Doctor: "It’s necessary, ma’am, or else he’ll get an infection."

Ashvik gently placed his hand on Ruhanika's head, offering a reassuring touch. Feeling his warmth, she slowly lifted her gaze to meet his, her eyes still filled with worry.

Ruhanika: "Bhaiyu, vo unhe dard hoga."

(Bhaiyu, it will hurt him.)

Ashvik: "Zaruri hai beta, kuch nahi hoga tu Rona band kar pehle."

(It’s necessary, beta. Nothing will happen. You stop crying first.)

Ruhanika’s quiet sobs still echoed in the room, but she tried her best to compose herself. Clutching Rudraksh’s hand tightly, she held on as if her grip could lessen his pain. The doctor carefully administered the injection, and at that very moment, both Rishwik and Ruhanika instinctively shut their eyes, as if they were experiencing Rudraksh’s pain along with him. Their hearts ached, and their eyes brimmed with unshed tears, unable to bear seeing him in discomfort.

Doctor: "It’s a little high dose, so he’ll regain consciousness by tomorrow morning. He needs to keep his arm in a sling for at least a week, but he can remove it sometimes while sleeping and for other necessary tasks."

They nodded in agreement as Amandeep settled the payment. After ensuring everything was taken care of, he personally dropped the doctor off.

Simrat: "Koko, beta Savi puttar ko leja, uske liye thik nahi hai abhi ye sab"

(Koko, beta, take Savi away. It’s not good for her to see all this right now.)

Kartavya glanced at Savisha and immediately understood how shaken she was after everything that had happened. Without a word, he gently took her hand and led her away from the scene, offering silent reassurance with his presence.

Ashvik: "Rishii, beta sun.."

(Rishii, child, listen…)

Rishwik: "Main nahi jaunga kahi jab tak bhai ko hosh nahi aata."

(I am not going anywhere until Bhai regains consciousness.)

Karanjeet stepped forward and placed a firm yet gentle hand on Ashvik’s shoulder. With a slight shake of his head, he silently urged him not to push Ruhanika and Rishwik any further. They needed this moment with Rudraksh, and right now, words would do little to ease their pain. Understanding the unspoken request, Ashvik exhaled softly and nodded. Without another word, the rest of the family slowly retreated from the room, leaving behind an air heavy with concern and sorrow. Now, only three people remained—Ruhanika, Rishwik, and the unconscious Rudraksh lying between them.

Ruhanika refused to let go of Rudraksh’s hand. Her fingers clung to his as if letting go would somehow make him slip away from her. Her tears had stopped, but the fresh streaks on her cheeks remained, a testament to the storm of emotions raging inside her. On the other side, Rishwik sat silently, his movements slow and careful as he continuously ran his hand over Rudraksh’s head, a silent reassurance, a brother’s way of saying, I’m here. You’re not alone. Neither of them spoke. There was no need to. Their eyes, red and glassy, stayed fixed on Rudraksh’s pale face, searching for any sign of movement, of consciousness. It was as if time had frozen in that moment, trapping them in a silent prayer, waiting—just waiting for him to open his eyes.

In the study, The entire room was heavy with tension, the other bodyguards standing in a disciplined queue, their heads bowed in silence. No one dared to meet Kartavya’s furious gaze, knowing the gravity of the situation. Kartavya grabbed Robert’s collar tightly, his eyes blazing with anger. His voice was sharp and demanding as he asked.

Kartavya: "Kaise hua ye?? Tum sabke hote huye ye kaise hua????"

(How did this happen?? How did this happen in your presence??)

Kartavya roared in fury, his eyes blazing with anger, ready to charge forward. Before he could take another step, Ashvik swiftly grabbed his arm and pulled him back, his grip firm yet controlled.

Ashvik: "Bhai, bolne do use please."

(Bhai, please let him speak.)

Kartavya forcefully let go of Robert, pushing him aside. His chest heaved with anger as he clenched his fists. Ashvik's voice thundered through the room.

Ashvik: "Now say it, dammit."

Robert: "Sir, we had checked the place before scheduling the meeting there, and no one was aware of this."

Amandeep: "Then how did this happen?? And I hope the sniper is in the dungeon, or else be ready to face the consequences."

Robert: "Yes, sir, he is in the dungeon, and our men are trying to extract more information."

Kartavya: "I feel like it’s Vijaypratap and that JM."

Amandeep: "Shant toh nahi baithega vo apne bachcho ki laash dekhne ke baad."

(He won’t stay quiet after seeing his children's dead bodies.)

Simrat: "Then make sure he doesn’t see the next sunrise."

Simrat just entered the room and said. All heads turned toward her, the tension in the room thick enough to cut with a knife.

Ashvik: "Maa"

Simrat: "Meri Family ko khatam kar diya, aur ab mere Chiku pe vaar kiya.. main uski aur saasein bardasht nahi kar sakti, maar daalo use."

(They destroyed my family, and now they attacked my Chiku… I can’t tolerate him breathing any longer. Kill him!)

Kartavya: "Vahi hoga Buiii, uski himmat kaise huyi humare Rudra pe vaar karne ki."

(It must be him, Buiii. How did he even dare to attack our Rudra??)

Amandeep: "Bhai I think Buii sahi keh rahi hai, ye bekaar me JM ki piche padh ke matlab nahi, use hum baadme bhi dekh sakte hai par Vijaypratap ko ab Zinda nahi chod sakte."

(Bhai, I think Buii is right. There's no point in chasing JM right now; we can deal with him later. But we can’t let Vijaypratap live any longer.)

Ashvik: "Kal Rudraksh ke hosh aate hi use sab bata denge aur phir Vijaypratap lega apni aakhiri saasein kal."

(As soon as Rudraksh regains consciousness tomorrow, we’ll tell him everything. And then, Vijaypratap will take his last breath.)

All the men in the room, along with Simrat, had expressions of pure anger and a fierce determination to put an end to Vijaypratap. The air was thick with tension, their resolve unshakable. Meanwhile, Kartavya hurried back to his room, only to find Savisha sitting there, tears streaming down her face. His heart clenched at the sight, and without wasting a second, he rushed towards her, wrapping her in a protective embrace.

Kartavya: "Shhhhhh, mahiye, rona nahi hai yaar, please isha tumhari health kharab hogi."

(Shhhhhh, Mahiye, don’t cry, please. Isha, your health will get worse.)

Savisha: "Sa..b kuch repeat ho raha hai Avya, ma..in nahi seh paungi dobara ye sab.... Ruhi ka..kaise vo kaise sambhalegi khud ko... Kuch kijiye Avya kuch kijiye"

(Ev..erything is repeating, Avya. I..I won’t be able to bear all this again… Ruhi, how… how will she handle herself… Do something, Avya, please do something!)

Kartavya: "Shh Mahiye, Shhh, main karunga, ab sab khatam karunga chinta mat karo tum."

(Shh, Mahiye, shh. I will, I’ll end everything now. Don’t worry.)

Kartavya gently stroked Savisha’s hair as she cried in his arms, her emotions overwhelming her. He held her close, whispering soft reassurances until, exhausted from her tears, she finally drifted into sleep. Carefully, he laid her down and tucked the duvet around her, ensuring she was warm and comfortable. His heart ached, knowing that she might still have nightmares about the traumatic miscarriage accident. He sat beside her, his fingers lightly brushing over her forehead, ready to comfort her the moment she stirred. Kartavya knew he couldn’t erase the past, but he vowed to protect her and their unborn baby with everything he had.

Ashvik carefully carried the food plates downstairs, his steps steady. As he reached the last step, Akshavi approached him with a curious expression, glancing at the plates in his hands.

Akshavi: "Kya hua?"

(What happened?)

Ashvik: "Dono ne hi nahi khaya khana"

(Both of them haven’t eaten anything.)

Simrat: "Bechare bachche, ek hi din me kya se kya ho gaya."

(Poor kids, everything changed in just one day.)

The entire house was drowning in tension, an unsettling silence weighing heavily over everyone. No one had the heart to eat, but they all knew that neglecting their health wouldn’t help Rudraksh or ease the situation. With great difficulty, Akshavi managed to convince Simrat to eat, knowing that if she didn’t, her own health would deteriorate. Simrat resisted at first, her appetite completely lost in the midst of worry, but Akshavi’s persistent urging finally made her take a few reluctant bites.

On the other hand, Kartavya had a tougher time convincing Savisha. She kept shaking her head, refusing to eat, her hands trembling as she clutched her dupatta tightly. But Kartavya knew he couldn’t let her go without food—especially now, when her health and the baby’s well-being were at stake. He gently but firmly reminded her that she needed to eat in order to take her medicines. After a long moment, Savisha finally gave in, taking small bites while her mind remained elsewhere.

Amandeep sat beside Karanjeet, quietly feeding him as well. Even though he wasn’t willing to eat, the way Amandeep patiently placed food on his plate and coaxed him with care left him no choice. Ashvik and Akshavi, despite their own worries, took it upon themselves to ensure that everyone ate something, even if it was just a little. They went from one family member to another, offering silent support, forcing gentle bites, making sure no one completely starved themselves in their distress.

Finally, Ashvik turned to Akshavi, holding a spoonful of food in front of her. She stared at him, her eyes filled with exhaustion and unshed tears. She knew she had to eat, but her stomach churned with anxiety. Seeing her hesitation, Ashvik took a bite first, silently assuring her. Only then did she allow herself to eat, mirroring his actions.

Despite their efforts, no one truly ate properly. Every bite felt forced, their minds clouded with worry, their hearts heavy with Rudraksh’s condition. But the ones who didn’t touch even a single morsel were Rishwik and Ruhanika.

Their entire existence in that moment revolved around Rudraksh, their empty stomachs forgotten, their grief too overwhelming to allow them even the smallest distraction. And though everyone else had taken something, it was impossible to ignore the two souls who refused to care for themselves—because their entire world was lying unconscious upstairs.

Later that night, Amandeep, Kartavya, and Ashvik made their way to the dungeon, where the sniper who shot Rudraksh was being held. The dimly lit room was filled with an eerie silence, broken only by the sound of their footsteps echoing against the cold stone walls. The sniper sat on a chair, his hands bound, his face bruised from the initial rounds of questioning. Kartavya stepped forward, his eyes burning with fury.

Kartavya: “Who sent you?”

The sniper smirked, but before he could say anything, Ashvik grabbed his collar and yanked him forward.

Ashvik: “Speak before I make you regret every second of your life,”

Amandeep, who had been silently observing, finally spoke, his tone calm yet laced with authority.

Amandeep: “You already know there’s no escape from here. So either you tell us everything now, or you suffer until you do.”

And then what they discovered left them completely shaken.

The next morning, Rudraksh’s eyelids fluttered open, but the moment he did, a wave of dizziness washed over him, making him shut them again. The effect of the strong medication still lingered, making his head feel heavy. After a few moments, he tried again, this time slowly adjusting to the light and the haze in his vision. As he blinked and looked around, he became aware of a warm, comforting weight on his head. Turning his gaze to the right, his heart softened at the sight before him—Rishwik was fast asleep, his hand resting protectively on Rudraksh’s head, his own head awkwardly placed against the headrest in an uncomfortable position.

Shifting his gaze to the left, Rudraksh found another sight that filled his heart with warmth—Ruhanika, curled up beside him, her fingers still wrapped around his hand as if she was afraid to let go. She had dozed off with her head resting against the headrest, exhaustion evident on her delicate face.

A gentle smile spread across Rudraksh’s lips, his heart swelling with love. These two… He felt overwhelmed, realizing just how much he meant to them, how they hadn’t left his side even for a moment. His family. His world.

But the warmth in his heart was quickly replaced with a pang of guilt when his eyes traced the dried tear stains on both of their faces. His smile faded, replaced with a deep ache in his chest. They had cried for him. They had spent the night in worry and pain because of him.

A surge of protectiveness rushed through him. He hated seeing tears in Ruhanika’s eyes, and Rishwik—his strong, ever-supportive brother—had also been unable to hold back his emotions. He wanted to wipe away all their pain, to reassure them that he was fine.

Determined, he tried to sit up, but the moment he moved, a sharp pain shot through his arm. He sucked in a breath, wincing as the ache reminded him of his wound. His movement caused his grip on Ruhanika’s hand to tighten slightly, and almost instantly, as if sensing even the slightest discomfort from him, her fingers twitched, and her eyelashes fluttered.

Rudraksh froze, not wanting to wake her, but it was too late. Ruhanika stirred, her brows furrowing, and within seconds, her drowsy eyes snapped open—wide and alert.

Rudraksh: "sss ahhhh"

Ruhanika and Rishwik immediately jolted awake, their eyes widening in alarm as they saw Rudraksh. Without wasting a second, they rushed to his side, each grabbing hold of him to steady his swaying frame. They carefully helped him settle, their worried gazes fixed on his face.

Ruhanika: "Aap thik hai?? Zyada dard hai kya?? Rishi Bhai, doctor ko bula lijiye na, inhe takleef ho Rahi hogi."

(Are you okay?? Is it hurting a lot?? Rishi Bhai, please call the doctor, he must be in pain.)

Rishwik: "Bhai, bas 2 minute main abhi call lagata hu"

(Bhai, just two minutes, I’ll call him right now.)

Ruhanika: "Ji aap chinta mat kijiye, aap abhi thik ho jayenge."

(don’t worry, you’ll be fine soon.)

Rudraksh exhaled deeply and gently took the phone from Rishwik’s hand just as he was about to dial the doctor’s number.

Rudraksh: "Thik hu main, doctor ki zarurat nahi."

(I’m fine, there’s no need for a doctor.)

Rishwik carefully wrapped his arms around Rudraksh, making sure not to put pressure on his injury, and broke down into sobs against his shoulder. Rudraksh sighed, his heart aching at his brother’s distress, and gently patted his back, offering silent comfort.

Rishwik: "Main Darr Gaya tha bhai."

(Bhai, I was so scared…)

Rudraksh softly rubbed Rishwik’s back, his touch comforting and reassuring. A gentle smile played on his lips as he let his brother pour out his emotions, silently assuring him that everything would be fine.

Rudraksh: "Main thik hu chote, rona band kar ab. Ye sab toh pata tha na hume, is kaam ke chalte choti moti chot toh lagegi hi na."

(I’m fine, Chhote, stop crying now. We knew this, right? In this line of work, small injuries will happen.)

Rishwik pulled back abruptly and shot a sharp glare at Rudraksh, his eyes filled with frustration and concern. Rudraksh raised an eyebrow, amused by his reaction, but said nothing, waiting for Rishwik to speak.

Rishwik: "Ye aapko choti chot lagti hai bhai, Goli lagi hai aapko, bhai yaar stop taking things for granted, pata bhi hai kya haal hua tha mera aapko aise dekh ke, Angel ka kya h..."

(You call this a small injury, Bhai?? You were shot! Bhai, stop taking things for granted. Do you even know what I went through seeing you like this?? What about Angel, how will s—)

Rishwik was about to say something when his eyes landed on Ruhanika. He paused mid-sentence, his words fading away as he noticed her sitting quietly with her head lowered. Rudraksh turned toward her, observing the way she sat still, lost in her thoughts. He immediately understood—his little overthinker was drowning herself in unnecessary worries again. Rudraksh and Rishwik exchanged a glance. Rishwik raised his eyebrows in silent question, and Rudraksh blinked his eyes, signaling that he knew exactly what was going on in her mind. They both understood Ruhanika too well—she was probably blaming herself or overanalyzing the situation, making it worse in her head.

Rudraksh: "Tu ja main dekhta hu, main thik hu."

(You go, I’ll handle it. I’m fine.)

Rishwik: "Haa lekin main naraz hu aapse, baadme batata hu aapko."

(Yes, but I’m still upset with you. I’ll tell you later.)

Rudraksh smiled gently and patted Rishwik’s cheeks, his touch filled with warmth. Rishwik, with teary eyes, held Rudraksh’s hand and pressed a soft kiss to his palm, as if silently expressing his emotions. Without saying much, he turned and left, leaving Rudraksh watching his retreating figure.

Turning his attention to Ruhanika, Rudraksh noticed that her head was still lowered, her silence speaking volumes. His smile faded slightly as concern flickered in his eyes. He knew something was troubling her, and he wasn’t going to let it go unnoticed.

Rudraksh: "Ruhhh"

Rudraksh's voice carried immense love and gentleness as he softly called her name. The warmth in his tone wrapped around Ruhanika like a comforting embrace. Her heart swelled with emotion, and she felt a lump form in her throat. Overwhelmed, her chin wobbled as her eyes glistened with unshed tears.

Rudraksh: "Betu, yaha dekho jaana, dekho main bilkul thik hu, tumhare pass hu"

(Betu, look here, see, I’m completely fine. I’m right here with you.)

Ruhanika: "Aapko Goli lagi, phir bhi aap gaadi chala kar aaye, sirf isiliye na kyuki hume aapki chinta ho Rahi thi."

(You got shot, yet you drove yourself here… Just because I was worried about you.)

Rudraksh: "Ruhh, jaana meri baat suno.."

(Ruhh, jaana, listen to me…)

Ruhanika: "Hum toh aapki taaqat banna chahte the, par hum aapki kamzori ban gaye hai na."

(I wanted to be your strength, but I have become your weakness, haven’t I??)

Rudraksh was utterly shocked. He stared at Ruhanika, blinking in disbelief. Never in his wildest dreams had he thought that his wife's pea-sized brain could come up with such utter nonsense.

Rudraksh: "Kya bole ja rahi ho Ruhh"

(What are you even saying, Ruhh??)

Ruhanika: "Agar hum thodi si himmat karte, toh aapko humari chinta nahi hoti, toh aap khudko aise takleef nahi pohchate na"

(If I had been a little braver, you wouldn’t have been so worried about me. Then you wouldn’t have hurt yourself like this.)

Rudraksh: "Ruhhhhh, bakwaas band karo tum, aur yaha dekho meri taraf."

(Ruhhhhh, stop talking nonsense and look at me!)

Rudraksh spoke sternly, but he was careful not to raise his voice at her. His tone was firm yet gentle, knowing that she was already overwhelmed. Ruhanika slowly lifted her face, and the moment Rudraksh saw her, his eyes widened in shock. Her face was completely red, her eyes swollen from crying, and fresh tears were still rolling down her cheeks. Without a second thought, he immediately pulled her into his embrace, wrapping one arm around her protectively. Ruhanika didn’t hesitate either—she buried her face in his chest, clutching onto his shirt tightly. Rudraksh sighed, his heart aching at the sight of her in this state. He softly rubbed her back.

Ruhanika: "Hum vada karte hai.... Hum ab himmat k..arenge, pa..par aap aise khud...ko takleef nahi dena, h..hum nahi dekh paate aapko aise."

(I promise… I will be stronger now… B…but you must not h…harm yourself like this. I…I can’t see you like this.)

Rudraksh gently rubbed her back, his touch soothing and reassuring. He pressed a tender kiss to her head, letting his warmth envelop her.

Rudraksh: "Tum meri kamzori nahi meri Taaqat ho Ruhh, mere hone ka wajood ho tum, mera sukoon ho tum betu."

(You are not my weakness, Ruhh, you are my strength. You are the reason for my existence, my peace, my everything.)

Ruhanika pulled back slightly, her teary eyes meeting his with a look of hurt and concern. Seeing her like this made Rudraksh’s heart clench—knowing that he was the reason behind her tears only made it worse. He gently cupped her face, his thumb wiping away the tears.

Ruhanika: "Phir kyu kiya aapne aisa?? Aapko pehle doctor ke pass Jana chahiye tha na, Robert bhaiya ne bola bhi par aap nahi maane kyu??"

(Then why did you do this?? You should have gone to the doctor first. Robert Bhaiya even told you, but you didn’t listen. Why??)

Rudraksh: "Vo bewakoof doctor kya mera treatment karta, jab meri Dawa toh meri Ruhh hai, main Thik hu Ruhh dekho toh, ab rona band karo"

(What would that foolish doctor have done when my real medicine is my Ruhh? I am fine, Ruhh, look at me. Now stop crying.)

Rudraksh, sensing Ruhanika’s rising anger over his reckless stunt of driving despite his wound, attempted to lighten the mood with a playful remark. However, his efforts were in vain as Ruhanika shot him a sharp glare.

Ruhanika: "Aap kyu nahi samjhte hai?? Aap kyu apni sehat ke sath aisa karte hai?? Aap jante hai 18 ghante tak behosh the aap, jante bhi hai hume kaisa lag raha tha."

(Why don’t you understand?? Why do you do this to your health?? Do you even know you were unconscious for 18 hours? Do you have any idea how I felt??)

Rudraksh: "Ruhh tum daant rahi ho yaar mujhe."

(Ruhh, you’re scolding me now…)

Ruhanika: "Toh aur kya kare?? Aapko andaza bhi hai kal kya ho sakta tha?? Yahi cheez agar humare sath huyi hoti, hume goli....."

(What else should I do?? Do you even realize what could have happened yesterday?? What if this had happened to me instead, if I had been shot—)

Rudraksh: "Ruuuuhhhhhhhhh"

Rudraksh's eyes widened as he quickly interrupted her, cutting off whatever she was about to say.

Rudraksh: "Galti se bhi ye bakwas dobara mat karna, tumhe kuch ho iske baare me soch bhi nahi sakta hu main"

(Don’t you ever say such nonsense again! I can’t even imagine something like that happening to you.)

Ruhanika: "Aap soch bhi nahi sakte hai aur humne aapko us awastha me dekha hai, jante hai kya guzri thi humare uper??"

(You can’t even think about it, but I have seen you in that condition. Do you know what I went through??)

Rudraksh's gaze softened as realization dawned upon him—Ruhanika wasn't overthinking; she was genuinely and deeply concerned for him. He could see the fear in her eyes, the kind that came from almost losing someone you love. His heart clenched as he understood that feeling all too well—the fear of losing someone precious. It was a feeling he had known, one that left an ache deep within. And now, seeing that same fear reflected in Ruhanika, he felt a pang of guilt for making her go through it.

Rudraksh: "Ruhh, betu main samajhta hu"

(Ruhh, betu, I understand…)

Ruhanika: "Aap samajhte toh aise nahi karte."

(If you really understood, you wouldn’t have done this.)

Rudraksh: "Ruhh"

Rudraksh leaned toward her slightly and hissed again. Ruhanika shot him another sharp glare, clearly unimpressed by his antics. With a sigh, she gently placed her hand on his shoulder, steadying him as she made him sit up properly. Her touch was firm yet careful, showing both her concern and mild frustration. Without saying much, she grabbed a pillow and placed it behind his back, ensuring he was comfortable. Though she was annoyed, her actions spoke of the deep care she held for him.

Ruhanika: "Ruhh Ruhh mat kijiye, is baar hum aapse bahaut zyada wala naraz hai, baat mat kijiye humse."

(Don’t “Ruhh Ruhh” me! I am extremely angry with you this time. Don’t talk to me.)

Rudraksh: "Par jaana meri..."

(But, jaana, my—)

Ruhanika: "Hum kuch khane ko laate hai aapke liye."

(I’ll get something for you to eat.)

Ruhanika quickly wiped her tears, not wanting to show her vulnerability any longer. Taking a deep breath to compose herself, she stood up and quietly left the room, heading downstairs. Despite her best efforts to hide her emotions, the storm within her was far from over. The anger, the worry, the fear—everything she had felt the previous night was still fresh. A while later, Ashvik, Kartavya, and Amandeep entered the room. The three of them stood by Rudraksh’s bed, their expressions a mix of relief and frustration. But the moment their gazes met his, their relief faded into stern glares.

Rudraksh sighed, already knowing what was coming. The doctor had informed them about the severity of his injury—if he had applied any more pressure on his hand while driving recklessly, his nerves could have been permanently damaged. Now, he understood why Ruhanika was so angry. It wasn’t just about the injury—it was about how carelessly he had risked himself.

Ashvik: "Kar li hero giri??"

(Done with your heroics??)

Kartavya: "Achcha lag raha hoga na ab toh."

(Must be feeling good now, right?)

Amandeep: "Bhai kyu karte ho ye sab aap, kabhi toh apne bare me socho."

(Bhai, why do you always do this? Just once, think about yourself too.)

Rudraksh, unfazed by their grumbles and complaints, simply brushed them aside with his usual regal indifference. Without wasting any time, he got straight to the point, his sharp gaze demanding attention.

Rudraksh: "Who was he??"

The three of them exchanged glances, quickly realizing that Rudraksh had no interest in entertaining any further discussion. Understanding his intent, they chose not to push him further.

Amandeep: "Bhai, it was n—"

Rudraksh: "It was not Vijaypratap or JM, I know that. Just tell me the name."

Ashvik, Kartavya, and Amandeep exchanged stunned glances, their expressions reflecting disbelief.

Ashvik: "How do you know it wasn’t Vijaypratap??"

Rudraksh: "I got the bullet that hit me. It was Russian-made with a special code, and only people associated with the Russian mafia have those bullets."

Kartavya: "And JM is not associated with the Russian mafia, nor is Vijaypratap."

Rudraksh: "Yes. Now, tell me the name. The way that sniper shot me, I’m sure he knew me and got scared while firing—a clear indication that he must have spilled the name too."

Ashvik: "Injured hai phir bhi lomdi jaisa dimaag chalta hai iska."

(Even when injured, his mind works like a fox.)

Rudraksh rolled his eyes.

Rudraksh: "Aman"

Amandeep: "Atharva Kapoor."

Rudraksh smirked.

Rudraksh: "As expected. This guy doesn’t even have the guts to face me."

Ashvik: "So, he wants to lose another battle, huh?"

Kartavya: "Let him. If he enjoys defeat so much."

Amandeep: "By the way, Bhai, we haven’t been able to trace him yet."

Rudraksh: "We will. Let him enjoy his last few days."

Ashvik, Kartavya, and Amandeep smirked at each other, knowing exactly what was happening. Just then, Ruhanika and Rishwik entered the room, their expressions cold and distant. Neither of them uttered a word to Rudraksh. Ruhanika silently placed a bowl of warm soup beside him without even looking at him, while Rishwik went to fetch fresh clothes for him. Their silent treatment was louder than any scolding. The rest of the family exchanged amused glances, smiling at the scene. They knew that no matter how much Ruhanika and Rishwik acted tough, their care and love for Rudraksh were evident in every small action. It was only a matter of time before they melted.

Kartavya: "Achcha hum chalte hai"

(Okay, we'll take our leave now)

Ashvik: "Rudra dono ne kal se kuch nahi khaya hai"

(Rudra, both of them have not eaten anything since yesterday)

Rudraksh’s eyes widened in concern as he quickly shifted his gaze between his brother and his wife.

Rudraksh: "Ruhhh, chotee"

Kartavya, Amandeep, and Ashvik exited the room, leaving behind an unusual tension. Ruhanika and Rishwik sat in complete silence, deliberately ignoring Rudraksh.

Rudraksh: "Ahhhh"

Ruhanika and Rishwik wasted no time and sprinted toward him, their faces filled with urgency. Their eyes reflected a mix of worry and anticipation as they closed the distance.

Ruhanika: "Kya hua?? Aapko dard ho raha hai??*

(What happened?? Are you in pain??)

Rishwik: "Kaha bhai?? Doctor ko bulau??"

(Where, brother?? Should I call the doctor??)

Rudraksh smiled, biting his lip in an attempt to suppress his chuckle, but the amusement in his eyes gave him away. He watched them with a fond expression, enjoying their reaction.

Rudraksh: "Ye Narazgi abhiyan ho gaya ho toh baitho yaha dono."

(If your protest of being upset is over, then both of you sit here.)

Both shot him an intense glare, their expressions sharp and unwavering. Rudraksh immediately gulped, realizing the weight of their stares and understanding that he was in serious trouble.

Rudraksh: "Mera matlab,... Pl...ease, ha please baith jao dono ne kuch nahi khaya hai please kha lo thoda sa."

(I mean... pl...ease, yes, please sit down. Neither of you has eaten anything. Please eat a little.)

Rishwik returned with a loose shirt and carefully helped Rudraksh change out of his vest, making sure not to hurt his injury. Meanwhile, Ruhanika silently focused on chopping some fruits for him, her concern evident in her precise movements. Once Rishwik was done, Ruhanika picked up the bowl of neatly cut fruits and extended it toward Rudraksh. However, instead of accepting it, he stubbornly turned his face away—only to be met with Rishwik’s sharp glare. Caught in an awkward moment, he hesitated before slowly turning his face to the other side, only to find Ruhanika now glaring at him too. Realizing he was trapped, Rudraksh blinked between the two, his expression shifting between amused and helpless.

Rudraksh: "I mean aap dono bhi kha lo please phir hi khaunga main."

(I mean, you both should eat too. Only then will I eat.)

Rishwik walked over to Ruhanika’s side and casually picked up a piece of apple from her plate.

Rishwik: "Logo ko toh padi nahi hai humari Angel, toh hum kyu pareshan rahe, lo kha lo tum thoda sa."

(People don’t care about us Angel, so why should we worry? Here, eat a little.)

Ruhanika: "Ji Rishi Bhai, vaise bhi hum toh kuch logo se zyada naraz hai toh baat bhi nahi karenge."

(Yes, Rishi Bhai, anyway, I am more upset with some people, so I won’t even talk to them.)

Rishwik and Ruhanika, despite being upset with Rudraksh, knew him too well—he wouldn’t eat unless they ate first. Understanding this, they exchanged a quick glance before silently picking up pieces of fruit and feeding each other, taking small bites. Rudraksh watched their antics, a soft smile tugging at his lips. Shaking his head fondly, he couldn't help but admire how well they knew him.

Then, Ruhanika turned to him and brought a piece of fruit to his lips. But being the stubborn husband and brother that he was, Rudraksh refused to take a bite until they ate along with him. Letting out an exasperated sigh, both Ruhanika and Rishwik gave in, eating together as Rudraksh finally relented and ate with them. The atmosphere, though still laced with concern, felt lighter now, filled with warmth and silent understanding.

Rishwik and Ruhanika continued their silent protest, treating Rudraksh like a baby—adjusting his hair, fixing his shirt, and even patting his cheek—but not uttering a single word to him. Their expressions remained serious, making it clear they were upset. With exaggerated sighs and drooping shoulders, they walked downstairs, their faces etched with sadness. They plopped onto the couch opposite to Simrat.

Simrat: "Hun ki ho gaya dono nu? Udaas kyun ho?"

(What happened to both of you? Why are you sad?)

Rishwik: "Oh hum dono bhai ton thode naraz ne, gal nahi kar rahe."

(Oh, we are just a little upset with bhai. We’re not talking.)

Ruhanika: "Thode nahi Maa, hum toh is baar zyada naraz ho gaye hai inse, aur hume ab achcha nahi lag raha hai, 5 ghante ho gaye hai humne baat hi nahi ki hai unse, adhoora lag raha hai."

(Not just a little, Mom, this time I am very upset with him, and I don’t feel good about it. It’s been five hours since I last spoke to him, and it feels incomplete.)

Simrat smiled warmly and settled between them on the couch. The moment she sat down, both Rishwik and Ruhanika instinctively leaned in, placing their heads on her lap like two sulking kids seeking comfort. She gently ran her fingers through their hair, her touch soothing.

Simrat: "Offo puttar, jab man hai toh kar lo na baat."

(Oh dear, if you feel like it, then just talk.)

Rishwik: "Par buii, bhai ne galti ki hai na, humesha ka hai unka"

(But Aunt, Brother made a mistake, didn’t he? He always does.)

Ruhanika: "Ji maa, sunte hi nahi hai humari."

(Yes, Mom, he never listens to me.)

Both huffed in unison, making Simrat chuckle at their adorable stubbornness.

Simrat: "Achcha dekho bechara abhi injured hai na, bas is baar maaf kardo, aage se mat karna."

(Oh, look, poor guy is injured right now. Just forgive him this time. Tell him not to do it again.)

Rishwik: "Aage se aisi harkat bhi nahi karne dunga."

(I won’t let him make such a mistake again.)

Ruhanika: "Maa, bas aap keh rahi hai isiliye hum maaf kar rahe hai unhe is baar, hai na Rishi Bhai?"

(Mom, we’re only forgiving him because you’re asking us to, right, Rishi Bhai?)

Rishwik: "Haa Angel"

(Yes, Angel.)

Simrat chuckled, shaking her head fondly. She knew both Rishwik and Ruhanika were just being dramatic. No matter how much they pretended to be upset, they were too eager to talk to Rudraksh again. They just needed someone to push them a little.

Simrat: "Achcha baba thik hai."

(Alright, fine.)

Both settled beside Simrat, wrapping their arms around her in a warm embrace. They each placed a soft kiss on her cheeks, making her giggle with delight.

Ruhanika: "Chaliye bhai, inse baat karte hai akele honge ye."

(Come on, Bhai, let’s go talk to him. He must be feeling lonely.)

Rishwik: "Haa Angel chalo chalo"

(Yes, Angel, let’s go.)

Ruhanika and Rishwik dashed towards the stairs, their footsteps echoing through the hallway. Their excitement was evident in their hurried movements.

Simrat: "Areh baba Sambhal ke gir jaoge"

(Oh, be careful, or you’ll fall.)

Her words went unheard as they dashed upstairs, their excitement overpowering any caution. However, they skidded to a halt right at the doorway. Their eyes landed on Rudraksh, who was sitting on the bed, his expression calm, his phone resting in his left hand.

Rudraksh: "Naraz hai dono koi gift deke mana leta hu, par Naraz hai phir bhi baby treatment de rahe hai, kya mazaa aa raha hai, ek do din aise hi chalne du kya??"

(They’re upset, but if I give them a gift, they’ll calm down. But even though they’re upset, they’re still treating me like a baby—this is so much fun. Should I let this go on for another day or two?)

Ruhanika and Rishwik exchanged a glance, their expressions mirroring each other’s realization. And then, almost in sync, they turned to glare at Rudraksh. Here they were, feeling guilty, thinking he might be upset because they weren’t talking to him. But no—this man was happily soaking in all their baby treatment, enjoying every bit of their pampering! Rishwik folded his arms, narrowing his eyes, while Ruhanika huffed in frustration. Meanwhile, Rudraksh, completely unfazed by their glares, simply smirked, clearly reveling in their attention. Both placed their hands on their waists and stepped inside with determined expressions, their gazes fixed on rudraksh.

Rudraksh: "Ruhh ko date pe le jaunga, aur Chote ko car de deta hu."

(I’ll take Ruhh on a date and give Rishi a car.)

Ruhanika: "Achcha"

(Oh really?)

Rishwik: "Itne saste me"

(That easily??)

Rudraksh looked up and immediately locked eyes with both of them, who were glaring at him with an intensity that made his stomach drop. He gulped nervously, sensing the tension in the air, and slowly set his phone down, preparing for whatever was coming next.

Rudraksh: "Sab sun liya kya?"

(You heard everything, didn’t you?)

Ruhanika: "Ji sab kuch"

(Yes, everything.)

Rudraksh: "Ruhhh vo actually..."

(Ruhh... actually...)

Ruhanika: "Hume manana itna aasaan lagta hai aapko??"

(Do you think it’s that easy to make up with us??)

Rudraksh: "Jaan tumhe toh humari dates pasand hai na"

(Love, don’t you enjoy our dates?)

Rishwik: "Aur main?? Main kya bachcha hu jo car se maan jaunga??"

(And what about me?? Am I a child who will be satisfied with a car??)

Rudraksh: "Areh vo teri Favourite wali, next month launch hai na uska, vo sabse pehle tere pass aayegi."

(Oh, it’s your favorite one, launching next month, and you’ll be the first to have it.)

Rishwik and Ruhanika continued to glare at him, their expressions fierce and unyielding.

Ruhanika: "Hum bhaage bhaage aa gaye aapke pass hume laga aap udaas honge kyuki hum baat nahi kar rahe hai"

(We rushed to you thinking you’d be sad because we weren’t talking to you...)

Rishwik: "Lekin nahi Angel, ye janab toh baby treatment enjoy kar rahe hai."

(But no, Angel, he’s actually enjoying the baby treatment.)

Rudraksh sat there, his head lowered in embarrassment, as his brother and wife took turns scolding him.

Ruhanika: "Haa Rishi Bhai, ye toh hum aur aap hi pagal hai jo inse baat karne chale aaye."

(Yes, Rishi Bhai, we’re the fools who came running to talk to him.)

Rishwik: "Vahi toh Angel, ye bekaar, ghatiya, useless, careless, stupid idiot,..."

(Exactly, Angel! He’s useless, pathetic, careless, stupid, idiot—)

Rudraksh: "Chup oye, ab zyada bol raha hai tu"

(Shut up, you’re saying too much now.)

Rudraksh spoke in his big brother tone, trying to assert some authority, but Rishwik wasn't having it. With a firm stance and a look that matched Rudraksh's, Rishwik stood his ground, proving that he was no less. His voice, just as commanding, cut through the tension, making it clear that he wouldn't back down either.

Rishwik: "Chup raho aap, sach bardasht nahi ho raha hai na, careless insaan."

(You shut up! Can’t handle the truth, huh? Careless person.)

Ruhanika: "Umm Rishi Bhai, mana inse galti huyi hai par inhe itna bhi mat daantiye, inhe vaise hi hath me dard ho raha hai phir hum aur aap daantenge toh vo aur udaas ho jayenge."

(Umm, Rishi Bhai, I agree he made a mistake, but don’t scold him so much. His hand is already hurting, and if we keep scolding him, he’ll feel even worse.)

Rishwik turned to Ruhanika, his eyes wide with shock.

Rishwik: "Angel, tumne suna na humare peeth piche ye kya keh rahe the."

(Angel, did you hear what he was saying behind our backs?)

Rudraksh put on his signature puppy face, knowing exactly how to use it to his advantage. He glanced at Ruhanika, fully aware that she couldn't resist his sad expression. It was a look that usually made her heart melt, and he was counting on it to soften her stance, hoping she'd come to his rescue.

Rudraksh: "Haa betu, main udaas hu, bas isiliye toh dono ke liye gift soch raha tha, par ab dekho tum dono mujhe itna pyaar de rahe the toh bas mujhe achcha lag raha tha."

(Yes, sweetheart, I am sad. That’s why I was thinking of gifts for both of you. But look, you two were showering me with so much love that I was enjoying it.)

Ruhanika's heart melted at the sight of Rudraksh’s puppy face and the sincerity in his eyes. Unable to resist, she ran towards him and sat beside him on the bed. Gently cupping his face in her hands, she looked at him with a soft expression, her concern for him overriding the earlier tension.

Ruhanika: "Ji Aksh hum aapko aise hi prem karenge, aap udaas mat hoiye, hum hai yaha aapke pass."

(Yes, Aksh, we will always love you like this. Don’t be sad. We are right here with you.)

Rudraksh: "Kaha ho Ruhh, tumne 5 ghante se baat nahi ki hai, gale bhi nahi lagaya hai."

(Where are you, Ruhh? You haven’t talked to me in five hours, and you haven’t even hugged me.)

Ruhanika, unable to contain her emotions any longer, stood on her knees on the bed and immediately pulled Rudraksh into a tight hug. Rudraksh, with a soft sigh, pressed his face into her chest, feeling the comfort of her embrace. He wrapped one arm around her waist, holding her close.

As he looked up, his gaze met Rishwik's, who was standing nearby, fuming with a mixture of frustration and helplessness. A smirk tugged at Rudraksh’s lips, the playful glint in his eyes making it clear that he was fully enjoying the situation.

Ruhanika: "Ab aap thik hai na?? Hum kissi bhi de kya aapko??"

(Are you okay now?? Should we even give you a kiss??)

Rishwik’s eyes widened in disbelief as he watched Ruhanika’s immediate shift in behavior. He turned around abruptly, facing his back to the couple, unable to watch the display of affection. Shaking his head, he let out an exaggerated sigh, muttering to himself.

Rishwik: "Dono miya biwi pagal hai, main aaya hi kyu yaha."

( You both are crazy! Why did I even come here?)

As Rishwik took a step toward the door, clearly trying to escape the scene, Rudraksh quickly called out and stopped him.

Rudraksh: "Choteeee"

Rishwik fought hard to keep a serious expression, his lips twitching as a smile threatened to break through. He composed himself, his face settling into a stern look, as he turned towards Rudraksh. Ruhanika, sitting beside him, noticed the struggle and couldn't help but stifle a giggle.

But as Rudraksh extended his hand towards Rishwik, the dam finally broke. Rishwik couldn't hold it in any longer and gave him a pouty smile, his stern face completely melting away. Rudraksh chuckled at the sight, shaking his head in amusement at his brother’s antics. It was clear that Rishwik could never stay mad for long, especially when Rudraksh was around. The playful exchange between the two filled the room with warmth and laughter.

Rudraksh: "Nautanki, idhar aa ab."

(Drama king, come here now.)

Rishwik, not wasting a second, ran and jumped beside Rudraksh, landing with a dramatic flair. Rudraksh and Ruhanika both burst into laughter, their giggles filling the room. Rishwik, with a playful grin, looked between them, clearly enjoying the moment despite the earlier tension.

Rudraksh: "Sorry, dhyaan rakhunga ab"

(Sorry, I’ll be more careful now.)

Rishwik: "Sorry, mujhe hona chahiye  tha aapke sath"

(No, I should be the one apologizing. I should have been with you.)

Rudraksh shook his head with a smile, clearly amused by Rishwik's antics. Before he could say anything, Rishwik leaned in and pulled him into a tight hug, making sure to squeeze him for a moment longer than necessary. Rudraksh chuckled, gently patting his brother’s back, and Ruhanika couldn't help but smile at the sight of their bond.

Rishwik: "Main bas Darr gaya tha bhai, aur family khone ki himmat nahi hai mujhme."

(I just... got scared, Bhai. I don’t have the strength to lose family.)

Rudraksh: "Toh tujhe kya lagta hai tujhe rota hua dekh sakta hu main??"

(And do you think I can see you crying??)

Rishwik smiled softly, quickly wiping away the lone tear that had slipped down his cheek, a sign of the emotions he was trying to keep in check. He pulled back from the hug, his usual playful demeanor returning.

Rishwik: "Achcha chalo Chodhi ye sab maaf Kiya Maine, vo aap kuch car ka keh rahe the na..."

(Alright, forget all that. I forgive you. So about that car you mentioned...)

Rudraksh chuckled, shaking his head at Rishwik's antics, while Rishwik grinned.

Ruhanika: "Hawww Rishi Bhai, aap toh keh rahe the aap Car se nahi manenge"

(Gasp! Rishi Bhai, you said you wouldn’t accept the car!)

Rishwik: "Areh Angel, dekho ye narazgi apni jagah aur Car apni jagah, apna fayda bhi dekhna chahiye."

(Oh, Angel, listen, our anger is one thing, and the car is another. We should also think about our benefits!)

Ruhanika: "Achcha"

(Oh really?)

Rishwik: "Haa, ab tum batao tumne bhai ko maaf Kiya par kya tum unke sath date pe nahi jaogi??"

(Yes! And now tell me, you forgave Bhai, but won’t you go on a date with him??)

Ruhanika: "Areh areh kyu nahi jayenge, Suniye hum keh dete hai hume aap date par lekar chalenge Varna hum thode se naraz ho jayenge."

(Oh, of course, why not? Listen, I’m telling you, you have to take me on a date, or else I’ll be a little upset again.)

Rudraksh: "Dono ke dono ek jaise hi ho, atrangi"

(You two are just the same—so dramatic!)

Rishwik, Ruhanika: "Aur hum dono aap se bahaut Prem karte hai"

(And we both love you so much!)

Both Ruhanika and Rishwik shouted with joy and engulfed Rudraksh in a tight hug. Rudraksh smiled, his heart full as he held them close. In that moment, everything seemed perfect. His world was in his arms — his brother and his wife, the two people who meant everything to him. He couldn't ask for anything more in life, feeling truly blessed to have such an unbreakable bond with the people he loved the most.

Ruhanika frowned slightly and pulled back, as did Rishwik.

Rudraksh: "Kya hua Ruhh"

(What happened, Ruhh?)

Ruhanika: "Aap dono humse bhi toh kahiye ki aap dono humse bahaut Prem karte hai"

(You both have to say that you love me just as much too.)

Rudraksh and Rishwik exchanged a quick, mischievous glance, both smirking as they sensed an opportunity for some playful teasing.

Rudraksh, Rishwik: "We both love you, Chutkuuu!"

Rudraksh and Rishwik simultaneously shouted, their voices filled with playful mischief, as they turned toward Ruhanika. Their teasing tone echoed in the room, and both grinned widely, clearly enjoying every moment of getting under her skin.

Ruhanika: "Areghhhhhhhh"

Ruhanika whined.

Ruhanika: "ab Hum thode se naraz ho jayenge."

(Now I’ll get little upset again.)

Rishwik: "Aur hum mana lenge chutkuuu"

(And we will make up with you again, Chutkuuu!)

Rudraksh: "Chote, Attack."

Rishwik pulled Ruhanika playfully beside Rudraksh, and in no time, both of them started tickling her. Ruhanika burst into uncontrollable laughter, her attempts to escape only making it worse as the two of them continued their playful attack. The room filled with her joyous giggles, creating a lighthearted atmosphere.

Simrat, who had been quietly watching the scene from the door, couldn't help but smile at the sight of her children’s playful bond. She shook her head fondly, her heart full of warmth. With a small chuckle, she rotated her hands around them and cracked her fingers, warding off any evil eyes from her beloved kids, ensuring that their happiness remained untouched.

Simrat: "In teeno ne choti si umar me bahaut kuch jhela hai Baba ji, ab bas khushiya bhar dijiye inki zindagi me"

(These three have endured so much at such a young age, Baba Ji. Please, just fill their lives with happiness now.)
