Meera was standing in front of her wardrobe after showering, wrapped in her dupatta, looking for the outfit for the first day of college. The problem was that all her dresses were so beautiful and she didn't want to look beautiful. She wanted to look average. She didn't want any attention from people, she didn't want any unwanted comments from some perverts, and she didn't want people to stare at her body.

But the choice of her husband in clothes was not helping her. And after a lot of searching, she finally found something and decided to find some more college outfits in the evening.

Soon, she got ready in a little loose kurta and jeans with her hair tied in a messy bun, and flat footwear on her feet. She perfectly hid her Mangalsutra under her kurta and flaunted the pendant given by her husband. After getting approval from herself in the mirror, she took her bag and left the room.

Before going for breakfast, she decided to meet Dadu. She knocked on Dadu's door only to hear a come-in. As she entered inside, she saw him having her breakfast. Meera smiled at him and the old man gave her a wide smile back.

" Are Meera bacha, come, sit here." He asked her to sit beside him.

Meera smiled and sat beside him while the nurse took away the plates as his breakfast was done.

" So today is your 1st day of college." He asked putting his hand over her head and Meera nodded while he continued " Give your best. Don't hesitate to tell Aashrit if you face any kind of problem. And study well."

"Thank you Dadu for giving me this opportunity," Meera said

" No beta, it's my duty and now you have to make me proud." He said with a chuckle at the end and Meera nodded.

He further added, " Now go or else you'll be late on the first day itself." He said hurriedly.

Meera stood up and touched his feet, taking his blessings, and left the room.

As Meera reached downstairs, she saw everyone having breakfast and she also joined them. During breakfast, everyone gave her different tips for the first day of college and she listened to all of them.

After the breakfast was done, Aashrit took Meera outside and introduced her to someone.

"Meera, he is Adwait. He is your bodyguard from now on. He will be with you in college, far from your and everyone's eyes but close enough if you need him." And suddenly Meera felt like those female leads in her novels.

Meera looked at the man who was 6 ft tall, had a thick beard and mustache, bulky body, and his eyes was enough to scare you off.

Meera looked at him scared and then Ashrit who was now busy talking with Adwait. And soon enough she was in a car with Adwait driving it, and her sitting behind. No words were exchanged between them except a greeting.

The first day of Meera's college was quiet. Like literally quiet. Nothing special happened. It was the lunch time and she was happily sitting in her class when a girl named Kavya called her. She was the first classmate Meera interacted with or you could say interaction occurred only because they were sitting together and Kavya was talkative.

"Come on! Let's go to the canteen." She said dragging Meera out of the classroom.

Meera's no didn't work upon her and now she was being dragged to the canteen by a human whom she met 2 hours ago.

She looked at the girl with curly hair, jolly nature, a height of around 5'2", and her never-ending talks. Meera met her 2 hours ago but she got to know about her whole family and friends. Meera's attention shifted as Kavya stopped making Meera stop too.

"Oh shit! Let's change the route." She said and turned with Meera but they both stopped on hearing being called Kavya's name.

Meera turned and found a group of 5 people sitting at a bench outside the canteen. Meera noticed 2 girls and 3 boys in the group when her eyes noticed a known face. It was none other than Shivansh Singh Yaduvanshi.

" They already ragged me. What do they want now?" Kavya said making Meera's eyes open wide.

She was shocked to hear the word ragging but somewhere calm she knew, Shivansh would not rag her. She thought and quietly walked behind Kavya with a calm heart.

"Oh, so you have a new friend." One of the boys said as they reached near them and the attention of the whole group shifted to Meera.

Meera suddenly felt conscious and tried to hide a little behind Kavya.

" Hey little one, come here and stand beside Kavya. And introduce yourself." One of the girls from the group said making Meera's eyes wide.

" I mean I have a baby face but I am not a little one at least. I might be older than all of them." Meera thought and looked at Shivansh who was smiling sweetly at her and his smile had some naughtiness behind it.

" Come on introduce yourself, little one," Shivansh said the last word a little too sweetly and chuckled.

Meera made a face towards him but still introduced herself " I am Meera. First-year student of Microbiology." She said hoping to get rid of them as quickly as possible.

" Aww Meera just doesn't have a cute face but a sweet voice also." Another boy from the group said.

" So Meera let's put your sweet voice to good use," Shivansh said standing up and going near her. He further asked, " Are you single?"

Meera looked at him with wide eyes and then behind him to see others also curious. Meera requested Shiv from her eyes to let her go but maybe he didn't understand her signs from eyes.

"No," Meera said a little low and shook her head to let others know.

" I got a crush on her, man. Why all beautiful girls are taken?" the other girl says.

Meera smiled on hearing the praise of her beauty which was rare for her especially coming from a woman.

" Then call your boyfriend and tell him that you are missing him," Shivansh said sitting back in his place while Meera's eyes went wide.

She didn't know what to do anymore. She can't call Aashrit and neither can she let Shiv know about their unusual relationship.

Meera looked around to see Adwait standing at some distance. She looked at him standing there and not moving.

"Wasn't he supposed to protect me? What is he doing there standing when I am getting ragged? His looks and his work don't even match. Why is Aashrit ji wasting his money on him if it's how he going to react?" Meera's chain of thought broke on hearing Shivasnh again.

"Come on! Do it fast! we have classes and so do you." Shivansh said in a hurry.

Meera brought her phone out of her bag and looked at Shivansh with a pout but the latter one just smiled at her. She prayed to God to send an angel to save her but looks like even angels are on leave today.

" Put it on speaker." The girl who called her beautiful said.

Meera dialed Aashrit's number and prayed to God that he wouldn't pick it up. But as she thought before angels are on leave today. Aashrit picked up her call on 1st ring only.

" Hello, Is everything okay Meera?" Aashrit's worried voice was heard from the other side.

One of the girls quickly put the call on mute " Say the exact words I am telling you. Baby I am missing you. You didn't even call me the whole day. I hate you." She told her and put the call on speaker.

And suddenly the whole group was excited. It seemed less like ragging and more like friends having fun together for their other friend's first crush.

"Meera, why are you not speaking? Do I need to come there?" he said worriedly.

And Meera immediately shouted not wanting to worry him for no reason.

"No," she said

"Tehn what happnened?" He asked with a calm soothing voice.

" B.......b....." Words were not coming out of her mouth.

Only these two knew the reason behind their relationship and no one else. And neither does she want to let others know about the equation of her relationship with him. She looked at every curious eye and for the sake of protecting their relation from every question she spoke

"Baby"
