Chapter 82| Epilogue

20 years later..

The Malhotra Mansion is shown, A little different and renovated from before. As we enter the main hall we can see 2 big photos of Angali and Rahul hung on the wall with flowers kept on them. We move to the kitchen to see multiple servants helping out here and there as Shruti assists them. Shruti looked elder then before. Around Angali's age to be precise.

Shruti:"Common set everything up perfectly. The guest should be here in an hour."

Preeti:"Bhabhii"( She said entering)"Why are you stressing so much. Everything will be fine"

Shruti:"I hope so. I just hope Ahana can get Naira ready."

Preeti:"is Ryan and payal coming back soon"

Shruti:"By next week is what he said. It's been soon long since I met Riya and Pihu"

Ryan and Sameer were now in their mid 40s. Both were happily married to Their wife's and had kids. Sameer had married a girl named Naina and together they had a boy who is about 16 as if now.While Ryan had married payal. They had twins Riya and Pihu, both around 15. Sameer and his family were settled in USA due to his job while Ryan and Payal were at Payal hometown for few weeks due to Payal's mom's health problems.

Shruti:"What about Swati and Mahi"

Preeti:"Oh You know bhabhi. Mahi is busy with college to come while Swati.. She is still at her friends house. She won't be back until tomorrow morning."

Preeti and Sid had Mahi Few months after Navya was born. And 4 years after them Swati was born. Swati is now in 12th while Mahi is in 3rd year of college.

Preeti:"let's just hope Bhabhi can get Naira ready for today"

The scene shifts upstairs as we see a lady in her mid 40s standing outside a door talking. She wore a yellow kruti with her hair tired in a clutcher. She turned around as she huffed revealing her face to be none other then Ahana.

Ahana:"Common Naira Listen to me for a second na please "

Naira:"Noo..Maa I won't open this door until they leave"

Ahana:"Naira... Bachhaa.."

Neil:(Entering behind her as he eat ice cream not bother at all by the situation)"I told you Ahana, we should just cancel the meeting"

Ahana:"oh shut it.. it took a whole day to just convince you about this meeting now your daughter won't listen. What am I gonna do with you"

Neil:"Just let everything go and she will be fine"

Ahana:"Neil you know this is a great opportunity for her. She is already about to turn 27 next month. She is well settled and independent at this point. Now it is time for her marriage."

Neil:"Nonsense she is till soo young"

Ahana:"She will be a grandma one day and you will say the same"( Ahana turned to The door again and knocked)" Nairu..Baby listen onces na. You know I am not forcing you for anything but atleast let's communicate properly on this matter"

A few mins of silence prevailed in the room before the sound of door unlocking came and the door open wide. Ahana and Neil entered to see Their daughter sitting on the bed looking at her finger.

Naira had grown into a beautiful women. With features of Aarti clearly shown in her. But surprising she also had some features of Ahana. Her hair came till her mid back while her height matched that of Ahana's.

Ahana:(Settling down next to Naira)"Baccha.. see I know it's much be nerve wracking to wake up and know there is a wedding proposal for you."

Naira:"Maa I don't want to marry "

Ahana:"Baccha everyone has to one day. And it's not because your a girl. Naira in this world being independent is a amazing thing. But everyone. Everyone needs that one person they can depend on in rough times. Naira, I am really proud of what you have became today. You are one of the best Fashion designer there is in Delhi. You have accomplished you dream. Naira we always supported you. You know that even thought you father can be a pain in this back regarding boys, we were always open minded on you finding love by yourself. I'll ask you again. Do you have someone in you live "

Naira:"Maa you know I don't"

Ahana:"Then what's the problem in meeting the boy Naira. It's not like you have to marry him tomorrow only. You guys are just meeting. If you like him then you can take your time deciding if you want to spend you life with him. When both of you are ready the only we will plan you wedding Beta."

Naira:"It's not that maa. I know..I know you and papa won't do against my wish. But I.  I am scared.. What if the person I meet or marry Is not like papa. What if he...he turns out to be another Rajeev "

Ahana:"oh baby noo"( She said as she pulled Naira in his arms while Neil stared at her daughter fear in shock)

When the kids become of age, Ahana and Neil had told them the whole story. They wanted them to be well aware of the past so the kids knew everything.

Neil:"Princess you... you Don't have to be scared of that. You know we would never let anything bad happen to you"

Naira:"I know..it's just....I...Papa you know this world is not about pure love and care anyone. Finding someone who will love you unconditionally with all your flaws is like impossible "

Ahana:"Nothing is impossible Naira. Your scared if you meet a Rajeev but what if you meet a Neil. Baby Me and your Papa were Destined. I was ment to meet Rajeev to be able to meet you father. Same way there is someone out there Destined to be yours. Even if you don't meet them on the first try. They will come in your life because they are Destined to be with you. "

Neil:"Yes princess. Now look at Aryan. He and Khushi had An arrange marriage but look at them now. In just 2 year they are soo close and attached to each other that it feels like they have known it other for years. Do you think your brother's love for his wife is fake"

Naira:(Giggled)" No papa..Bhai literally can die for Bhabhi. They are adorable "

Ahana:"Indeed they are. And what about Ansh and Diya. "

Naira:"They are college sweethearts mom"

Ahana:"Yes. They met in first year of college and look at them now. There relationship will turn 7 years soon. Ansh was telling me he is gonna propose for marriage soon. Naira you are surrounded by stories of love and still you fear to find on. I promise baby, you don't have to even look because love will find it's way to you"( She said as she looked At Neil)

Naira stared at her parents as she thought things through. She looked up at the wall in front where a picture of Aarti hung. The picture smiled at her as a reassurance. When her parents. Her loved ones are with her then why would she fear.

Naira:"Okay..let's meet this guy "

Ahana:"Really? You sure right "

Naira:"100 percent  Maa"

Neil:"Remembers princess the final decision is on you."

Naira:"I know papa"( The 3 shared a hug before they heard a loud shout)

voice:"Papaaaaaa"( A girl voice came as she entered the room screaming with a guy behind her)

Guy:"Navu give it back to me Now"

Girl:"Nope.. sorry Ansh Bhai.. catch me if you can"

Yes the guy was none other then Ansh and the girl was Navya. Ansh had grown into  handsome man of the age of 27. While Navya was a carbon copy of Neil in female version. Navya was 20 years of age as she was perusing her last year of college in Btech.

Naira:"Don't mess up my bed guys"( She whined as she saw her sibling running around her room)

Navya:"Maa Maa..Bhai is gonna propose to Diya bhabhs"

Ahana:"I know Navu"( She laughed)

Navu:(Stopped in her track)"What.. You knew...( She turned to Neil who nodded his head as well)" You both knew ...But I didn't....Bhaiiiii....I hate youuuu Bye.."( She threw the ring box to Ansh who caught it as she started to leave angrily only to bump into a hard chest)

Voice:"Slowly princess "

Navya looked up and pouted seeing her Elder brother and Bhabhi smiling at her. Navya hugged Aryan who smiled Rubbing her head.

Navya:"Bhaiya you knew as well na?

Aryan:"Knew what?"

Navya:"Ansh bhai is going to propose "

Aryan:(Shocked)"WHAT"

Khushi:(Squealing)"Omg Really...Congratulation Anshhh...God I am so excited "

Navya:"You didn't know too?"

Aryan:"Hell no.. Ansh.."

Ansh:"Oh common guys.. I just decided yesterday. I was gonna talk to all of you but this idiot found out"( Navya pouted.  Ansh moved towards Navya as he pulled her in his arms)"You know Navu I would never take such a big step in my life without your presence. All of you mean alot to me. Yesterday night only I talked to mom and dad about it"

Navya:"I know Bhai and I am very happy for you"

Naira:(Coming to them)"Even I am. Congratulations"

Ansh:(Kissing Naira's forehead)"Thanks Nairu"

Khushi:"Maa did Naira agree?"

Ahana:"Yes... She will meet him"

Aryan:"Whatever happens Naira tell me. No pressure okay. If you don't want I can still cancel this meeting"

Ansh:"Yes Naira.."

Navya:"And the overprotective brothers are back"( She said sarcastically as Ahana smiled)

The kids begain to bicker backs and forth about the overprotective topic while Ahana sighed. Something truly never change. She felt her husbands arms wrap around her waist as she leaned back on his chest.

Ahana:"It's truly amazing how far we have came Neil.."

Neil:(Kissing her cheeks)"Yep that it is... "

Diya:(Entering)"Maaa..."( She pushed passed everyone as she hugged Ahana and Then Neill)" I heard there is a marriage proposal for Naira"( Ahana looked back to see A panicked Ansh trying to hide his proposal ring  While his siblings struggled to help him)

Ahana:"Yes beta... Why dont you help Navya and Khushi get her ready. They should be here in 1 hour "

Diya:"Oh..Sure Maa... Ansh.."( She said as she turned towards Ansh)

Ansh:(Nervously)"Ha..Yeah?"

Diya:"What happened baby why are you so nervous?"

Navya:"Oh di leave him. You know how my brothers are always overprotective of Naira di and me. Today it's over their head as a guy is coming to Meet Di. Leave them you come with me"( She said as she winked at Ansh and left with Diya and Naira and Khushi)

Ahana and Neil headed down to check the arrangements while The girls got Naira ready. Soon the Guys family arrived. The family had one of the famous business in the fashion industry. Manish Mehta and his wife Shivani Mehta had send the proposal for Naira. They were friends with Rohan who had talked about this proposal to Neil and Ahana. Manish and Shivani had a elder daughter Soumya who was married and settled. They had a younger son, Ritik Mehta who was running his father's business and was now at the age of 29.

Neil:"Welcome Mr. Mehta "

Manish:"Oh Please Neil.. Call me Manish. "

Neil:"Sure Manish. This is My wife Ahana."

Ahana:"Hello.."

Shivani:"Hello Ahana. I am Shivani"

Soon Rohan and Shruti along with Sid and Preeti came down and greeted the family. Aryan, Ansh as well met the family. The Mehta coupled informed everyone that Ritik had a meeting, so he should be here soon.

Ritik:(Entering)"Sorry everyone... Traffic was bad "( He said as he entered with a smile)

Ahana and Neil smiled as Ritik bend down as he took blessing from them before he introduced himself to Aryan and Ansh as he settled down next to them talking. Khushi and Diya came our with he servants to serve some snacks with tea.

Ahana:"Khush.. let's get Naira down"

Khushi:"Ji maa"( Khushi headed up with Diya)

As they entered the room, They saw Navya trying to calm Naira down. Naira was dressed in a light blue traditional yet simple salwar suit.

Navya:"Oh common di he is not gonna eat you up. Just show him your boss attitude from office"

Naira:"Stop joking Navu...I am dying here. You will understand my position in few years"

Navya:"Oh please.. My marriage will not happen for the next 10 years"

Naira:"We will see baby..we will see"

Khushi:(Entering the room with diya)"Well this is all normal Naira.. I went  through the same but remember trust your heart. If everything looks normal but things don't feel right then it's okay to say No. If you hearts says he is the one then He will be the one Nairu"( She said as she cupped her cheeks)

Diya:"Now common let's head down and Remember Naira be yourself. You will rock it"

The girls took Naira down. As she entered the hall, She felt all the eyes on her. She started to get nervous, when she saw her parents smile at her lovingly. Ahana and Neil got up and went to Naira's side. They both brought her to the living area and sat down on the couch. Naira went and touched Manish and Shivani's feet who stopped her and took her into a hug.

Ahana watched as she remembered her first time meeting Prabha and Angali. Both her mothers loved her like a daughter even though she was their daughter in law. Even she and Neil always loved Diya and Khushi like their own daughters. All Ahana hoped was to get Naira and Navya a loving and Caring husband and family.

The family talked for a while before Naira and ritik headed to the garden to have some alone time to talk.

After 30 min or so the kids came back. The family talked for a little while before The Mehta family decided to take a leave. As they left the girls jumped on Naira asking her question and teasing her while she blushed.

Ahana:"Naira... Baccha..How was he?"

Naira:"....I...I liked him.."

Ahana:"You asked him everything you wanted to know"( Naira nodded)"Do you want to meet him few more times before a decision "

Naira:"I would prefer it"

Neil:"Whatever you wish will happen baccha"( He said as he kissed her forehead)

Later that evening..

Ahana and Neil sat in their room balcony as they looked into the stars. They sat in each others embrace as they looked into the sky.

Neil:"I liked the boy. He seemed respectful and a nice guy"

Ahana:( Teasingly)"you praising a boy that too for you daughter. How did this miracle happen "

Neil:(Snuggling into her neck as she giggled)"My whole life has became a miracle since you came in it"

Ahana:"Oh Neil...You are a miracle for me too. Just having you beside me is everything in this world."

Neil:"You know I think I was a fool to think that I could alone make a perfect life for Aryan and Naira. Without you their life would be nothing as if now"

Ahana:"Not only me Neil. We both together have achieved what we have today. Thank you for helping me raise 4 beautiful kids. Thank you for giving them such great moral. Thank you for showing them the positive and the negatives of the world."

Neil:"We really should stop being so thankfull to each other."

Ahana:"Well I have another way to be thankful to you"

Neil:"And what is that"

Ahana:"Staying in your embrace till end of life"( She said as she snuggled into him while he smiled and kissed her forehead)

Neil:"I love you Shona"

Ahana:"I love you tooo"

From wanting to create a happy life for their kids to creating a beautiful and fairytale life for themselves, Ahana and Neil had came a long way in their journey But their journey wasn't over yet. Alot more new experience were to come in their life. From Seeing all their kids happily married and settled in their lifes to becoming grandparents for the first time. From sending away their precious daughter to gaining new son and daughter.

Destiny had alot planned for them. but the most important thing it had planned for them was their togetherness. They had been destined to meet in this life time and they will be destined to meet in all the upcoming lives as Without Neil, Ahana is incomplete and without Ahana, Neil is incomplete.
