163 A Misunderstanding
Joseph raised an eyebrow. âLetâs have lunch together.â
He said in an affirmative way, which was very consistent with his overbearing character.
Isabella scratched her head and wondered, âDo you want to eat in our school cafeteria?â
âOr do you want to take me out to feed you?â
Joseph thought she was just still pretending.
He narrowed his eyes and pretended to ask her, âIsnât that a lunchbox in your hand? I heard from William that it tastes pretty good. Letâs eat together.â
As he said, he leaned over to pull over Isabellaâs bag.
âWhat?â
Isabella was shocked and said, âDid you come all the way here just to eat my lunchbox? But I just ate it!â
.....
Joseph was speechless. He said, âThen Iâll have a few bites.â
Joseph thought that even if he ate a few of her left, it could prove that he had accepted the love that she was ashamed to express.
But when he opened the lunchbox, it was empty.
There was no food in the box.
Isabella explained awkwardly, âI didnât know you wanted to eat it, so I ate it all.â
Joseph looked unhappy and complained, âDid you eat such a big box?â
Then he closed the box.
âNo, I ate with my friends,â she said honestly.
âWhat? Did you eat them with your friend?â The look on his face darkened, and he growled and asked, âA boy or a girl?â
Isabella immediately lied, âBoth.â
Joseph was speechless.
He could not understand why Isabella shared the lunchbox that was given to him, and she even shared the food with the boys.
Joseph wondered, âWasnât she afraid that her intentions would be intercepted by another man?
In this way, she might cause misunderstandings.â
Joseph threw her bag said angrily, âGo away! I donât want to see you anymore!â
âWhy did you suddenly scold me?â
Isabella stomped her feet and said angrily. âI donât even know you would come but youâre so rude to me.â
Before Isabella could finish complaining, she was dragged into Josephâs arms and bit her lips.
Then she pushed him away with all her might.
âWhat are you doing now?â
Isabella covered her mouth and said in horror, âHow could you suddenly...â
âNext time, if you donât have lunch for me, I will... Do you understand what I mean?â
Joseph ignored Isabellaâs protest. He turned around, got into the car, and left.
Isabella thought he was so rude.
She almost collapsed and could not understand why Joseph came here all of a sudden.
On the next day, Joseph said in advance to Isabella that he needed to take a lunchbox, and then when he was running, he sneaked into the kitchen to see if she was cooking.
Isabella was focused on putting the heart-shaped ham into the lunch box.
Joseph was pleased to see that.
Then he left in satisfaction.
But at noon, he wanted to show off his lunchbox to Gerry when he opened the lunchbox.
All the love and sweetness instantly disappeared.
Joseph slammed the table in anger and said, âGerry!â
âYes!â
Joseph stood up and said, âGo to Richmond Arts University! Iâm going to catch Isabella!â
Joseph rushed out. Gerry looked curiously at the lunchbox on the table and couldnât help but be shocked.
In the lunchbox that Isabella made for Joseph was an ugly little demon that was made of agar.
Well, how brave she was!
At Richmond Arts University, the shooting scene of Meet You, Love You.
Isabella was astonished and asked, âWhat? Did Lukas go abroad this morning?â
She walked out of the scene with a lunchbox in her arms. Jane, who was beside her, whispered, âDidnât he tell you that he was abroad?â
Isabella answered, âHe told me a few days ago that he would participate in an event.â
She puffed up her cheeks. âBut why didnât he tell me when he left this morning?â
Jane teased her and said, âMaybe itâs because he was afraid to disturb your sleep.â
She added, âLook at you. Do you miss him? Maybe he will call you when he settles.â
âWell, maybe.â
Isabella was a little apprehensive.
Since the night before yesterday, when Lukas expressed his love to her, he had not called her.
Isabella had taken the initiative to send messages to Lukas, and he had simply replied to two text messages to let her take care of herself.
Since he had time to type, why didnât he make a call to ease each otherâs longing?
Could it be that he did not miss her that much?
Thatâs impossible. Lukas resisted the pressure of the Smiths and broke off the marriage with Rosy just to be with Isabella. If this love was not strong enough, he could be willing to take such a big risk.
Probably Isabella was too anxious. After all, he still needed to be very careful when facing the Smiths.
âSince Lukas is not here, letâs eat together.â Isabella pulled Jane to sit on a stone bench by the side of the field.
Jane giggled and said, âAh, I was going to ask Lukas when he is going to marry you, but now you have to postpone.â
Isabella patted Jane and said, âDonât make fun of me, please.â
Jane was laughing.
She teased, âYouâre already starting to make a meal for him every day. Did you hold each otherâs hand or kiss each other?â
âStop it!â
Isabella said with a flushed face. âLukas just expressed his love to me the night before yesterday. We didnât do anything.â
âWell! Alright, alright. By the way, what do you think is on your forehead?â
âWhat?â
âIâm Lukas housekeeper.â Jane burst out laughing.
âJane, Iâll punish you...â
As they were having fun, Isabellaâs phone rang.
Then, the smile on her face disappeared. She hurriedly picked up the phone and whispered, âOkay.â âYes.â
Jane raised an eyebrow and asked, âYou look upset. Is it from the Smith family?â
Isabella nodded thoughtfully. âI feel that something bad is going to happen when they suddenly call me back home.â
âDid they know that Lukas had dumped Rosy?â
âNo.â
Isabella shook her head and said, âLukas is not back yet. It is impossible to let me bear the blame. Forget it. I have to leave now. Just help yourself.â
âBe careful! Call me if you need a hand!â Jane warned her.
âAlright!â
