Veer stared aimlessly as he sat on the temple stairs. He is lost in his thoughts thinking about everything that had happened a few hours ago and now everything changed in his life.
From having everything to losing everything and now here he is without any roof over their head with his one and only hope, his wife.
He is not sad because he left everything just worried for Preet. How will she manage and live with him like this with no facilities?
"Here eat this. You shouldn't stay hungry for so long. You are still not fully recovered," Preet said, coming near him and sitting beside him. He looks at her and is surprised to see her smiling face as she forwards Prasad to him.
When he didn't move, her smile fell. Sighing softly she took a small bite near his lips and silently pleaded to him to eat.
Seeing her pleading, he opened his lips and ate from her hand. After eating a few bites he stopped her holding her wrist.
"Now eat the rest," he told her.
"But you need-" he glared at her, making her shut up.
Her chin trembles thinking he is still angry with her for everything that happened with them and he is blaming her as she is the one who signed the contract.
She looked down to hide her tear-filled eyes. But hearing her low sniffing Veer looked at her.
"Preet.." He softly called her but she didn't move her face up.
"What happens? Tell me please,.." he asked gently, caressing her head.
She looked up and wiped her tears making his heart tighten in pain looking at her tears.
"I am sorryâ¦" she murmured in her broken voice and sniffed.
He frowned and lightly wiped her wet cheeks due to tears.
"But Why?" he asked sweetly in a soft tone as if he was talking with a baby.
"It's happened because of me. You lost everything you earned. But trust meâ¦I was helpless. I just want you to be okay," she sobbed as he cupped her face but furrowed his eyebrow not getting what she wanted to say.
"I understand and I trust you, Preet. But these things are not in our hands, right? Why are you saying like this?" She shakes her head and hiccup up.
"You need blood, Veer. And the hospital didn't have your blood type at that time. I asked Choti Ma and she told me Choti Papa has the same blood group as yours. But she put the condition and asked me to sign some papers. I was scared and panicked at that time so I signed them without looking at them. I was just worried about you and wanted you to be fine at any cost. I didn't know she woul-" She told him everything while sobbing.
"Shh⦠I am not angry with you. I would do the same if I were in your place. Now don't cry. It hurts seeing tears in these beautiful eyes," she sobs more thinking how lucky she is to have him. He is so good and caring.
She closes her a when he leans to her and places his lips on her head, silently comforting her.
As he moves back to look at her cute innocent face with her red cheeks and nose, he smiles at her.
"I should be sorry for failing as a husband. See where I bought you. Now we are homeless," She glare at him with her puffy eyes and said,
"We are not homeless. We just don't have a shelter over our head but we have a home. You are my home and I will be your home. And everything will be alright, " she whispered looking into his beautiful ocean eyes and hugged him.
Her words give him strength and encourage him. He wraps his arms around and kisses her crown.
"I will make everything right. Just stay by my side," he mutters against her hair and closes his eyes with a sigh.
"I willâ¦always," she murmurs lovingly.
Suddenly Veer pulled away, making her startle. He is looking at her with big eyes as if he realizes something. While Preet blink her eyelashes at him taken aback from his act. But seeing his surprised face, she frowned.
Veer looked at her and then smiled brightly at her.
"Quickly eat the Prasad, I have something to share with you. Come on eat fast,"
She stares at him with confusion..
He sighs at her, rolls his eyes and feeds her with his hand. She is silently eating while looking at his face.
He smiles at her and wipes the tiny crumbles from her lips with his other hand's thumb.
"Come with me," he said after they washed their hands from the tab in the temple.
She chuckles lightly seeing him behaving like an impatient child. She wiped his wet hands with her dupatta.
"Where are you taking me that you are so impatient, huh?" she asked as they climbed down the stairs.
"Be careful Veer," she said, seeing him almost running on the stairs.
He held her hand tightly and started walking fast. He was nervous and he felt his heart beating fast in excitement.
She smiles while looking confused as he talks to her toward the Rajvansh estate area. But she felt relieved and more confused when he takes a street away from Rajvansh Villa.
They come to a stop in the corner of the street, in front of a very small and old house.
She looks at him and sees him stiff in his place as he is staring at the house with unknown emotion in his eyes.
Veer turns to her and gives her an emotional smile.
"Let's go," he said, intertwining their fingers.
"Whose house is this?" she asked as they slowly walked toward the house.
He smile painfully and whispered,
"My mumma's. She used to stay here before she got married to Dad,"
She snapped her head to look at him as she was surprised, hearing him.
He carefully opened the jammed doors of the house and looked at Preet.
She steps in as he silently gestures her through his eyes and enters after her.
They look around a small house covered in spider webs and dirt. Veer smiled remembering a few memories he had with this house.
"Seems like no one stays here for very longâ¦" Preet said as she looked at the backyard through the broken window.
It is a small two-story house with a small living area and kitchen and maybe two rooms upstairs. But it has a big garden in the back and a lawn in the front. And surrounded by a wooden boundary. The layout is nice. Just needs a little cleaning and grooming to turn it into a beautiful cozy house.
"It was abandoned after Mumma's death. It belongs to her. She used to come here sometimes and clean it. I also accompanied her and we used to play around here. It is her favorite place and also a last memory of her parents," Veer told her in a low voice as his eyes tear up scanning the familiar corners of the house with adoration.
"Why are we here?" she said, confused with his sudden visit to this house. She can guess the reason but then it belongs to his mother. It must be a really special and precious place for him to share with her. He has memories of his mother with this house.
"We are going to start here. This is our home from now on," he said, smiling at her.
She is shocked and happy to hear him. She smiled back at him before looking around the house with affectionate eyes.
"Our home.." she murmured as a big smile formed on her lips. She likes the sound of it.
On the other side
"Where is Preet, Urmila?" Damini asked as she waited for her evening tea which Preet usually made for her.
Urmila gulps, taking a shaky breath. She turns to Sumitra who gives her a nod.
"Maâ¦I want something from you," Damini frowned a little but then nodded at her.
"What is it?"
"Ma, I want Aarav to take control over our business,"
"Why?" Damini asked, looking at her.
"Why not, Ma?" Urmila said to her in a little angry tone.
Damini raises her eyebrow in confusion. She finds Urmila's little off and weird.
"Veer is-" Before Damini could say further, Urmila stop her as she angrily said,
"You have other grandchildren other than Veer, Ma. But you always forget this. You don't see my children because they are my children. And he is your Ranveer and Naina's son. All you can see is Veer turning a blind eye to my kids. Why Ma? But I can't see and tolerant this anymore even if I have to go against everyone,"
Damini was shocked hearing Urmila's sudden burst out. But what surprised her more than her words was the hatred in her tone.
She wondered what she was missing.
"Are you in your senses, Urmila?" She asked in her hard voice.
"I am in my complete sense, Ma but you all are not. So I did what I should have done a way before,"
Damini scowled thinking what she was trying to say. And what has she done?
But then eyes fell on the Sumitra sitting beside Urmila. Her confusion turned into fear seeing the satisfaction on her face.
"What have you done?" she asked coldly, feeling her heart restless suddenly.
Damini stood up in shock and looked at her with disbelief not expecting this from Urmila.
While Urmila is looking at her after telling everything she said to Veer and what happened in her absence.
She looked away, not able to look at Damini. She is not liking the feeling she is getting right now. Although she should be delighted with her decision and for making Veer and Preet leave the house. But her heart is not at peace. It's like she went wrong somewhere.
"Are you happy now?" Damini asked, feeling her inside clench in pain.
Urmila looked up and parted her lips to reply but felt choked.
"why won't Iâ¦" she said hesitantly.
Damini gave her a weak and mocking smile. And nodded her head.
"You will regret Urmila. Mark my words. And I love all my children equally, Urmila. Maybe you can't see that but I never discriminate between them," saying this Damini turned around and walked toward her room.
She felt the unsaid pain in her chest thinking about Veer and Preet. She accepts today that Veer has the same place in her heart even after her anger on him. He is her same little boy.
A tear escaped from her right eyes as she numbly sat on her arm chair near her elder son and daughter in law's picture that was placed in her room.
"I lost everything today. I am sorry, Ranveerâ¦" she whispered and closed her eyes.
"Be safe, Veer and forgive me for not fighting for you, I am sorry," she whispered before relaxing on her chair as she dozed off.
Rajveer glares at his wife who is silently eating her dinner.
"How dare you? And who gave you the right to take such a decision, huh?"
She looked up and looked at his eyes with determination.
"I don't need anyone's permission. He is hurdle in my son's life,"
"How do you become so cheap, Urmila?" he whispered, not believing she is his wife.
"Think whatever you want but they won't step in this house again," she firmly said and was about to walk away when Aarav and Avni entered looking at her.
Avni was stunned while Aarav felt shock, anger and pain hearing his parents.
"Is it true Mom?" he asked, not believing his ears.
Urmila gives him a blank look and looks away.
"Aarav I did what is right for you and Anaya's future," she told him and taking her dirty plate she was about to go but Aarav's words made her stop in her track in shock.
"I will bring them back to this house. This is their right place. And to let you know Mom I don't do anything that belongs to Bhai and Bhabhi," he said, making her stunned and angry.
"You won't do anything like this, Aarav. Think about your child. Don't be stupid in your brother's love. He is just using us,"
She glares at him, done with his blind love for his brother.
"I don't care.." saying he was about to walk out of the house.
"Stop right there Aarav. If they come back then you will see my dead face," she emotionally blackmailed him, making him stop in the middle.
Aarav angrily turns and looks into her eyes with hate and disgust. Urmila felt pain seeing tears forming in his eyes.
"You are doing wrong, Mom. I won't forgive you for making Veer Bhai suffer," he said looking hurt and distressed at her behavior.
He held Avni's hand and went upstairs not wanting to stay near her anymore.
Rajveer also left but not before throwing an angry look at her.
She sighs sadly and sits on the chair with a soft thud. She held her head and closed her eyes.
"They will come aroundâ¦" she mutters to herself, assuring her heart.

So if you read chapter 32 where Sumitra reveals the contract in which it is stated they have to leave the Rajvansh and all their property. And also everything that belongs to them will go under Aarav and his wife.
