CHAPTER 8: WHAT FEELINGS?

A few weeks later Jisung was at work behind the counter with Hyunjin while Chan and Seonghwa were in the kitchen. Chan wasn't sick anymore and with the help of his boyfriend so he was back to his old happy self. Jisung was contemplating if he should tell his friends about Minho and Felix or if he should just keep it to himself. He knew the two wouldn't tell anyone but he didn't know how they'd react.
In the end he decided to tell them after work.
Hyunjin let out an exhausted sigh as he leaned on the counter "Since when did this place start having so many customers? I thought it would close anytime soon" he whined which made Han chuckle "Yeah same. I'm honestly surprised so many people came in today"
Jisung then got closer to Hyunjin and whispered "Also, I want to tell you and Chan hyung something after work" the taller furrowed his brows "Okay..? Is it bad or good?" he crossed his arms and watched as Jisung blinked twice "I mean, it was good for me but I don't know about you. I don't think it's bad, you know" he explained and Hyunjin shrugged "Okay then"
Another customer entered the cafe so the two boys went back to work.

Later the day, the boys were finally able to leave so they grabbed their stuff and closed the cafe before they started to make their way back home. While they were walking Jisung cleared his throat, catching the others' attention "So uhm" he began "I told Hyunjin about it earlier but there's something I want to tell you guys"
Chan and Hyunjin, who were holding hands, both had their eyes on Jisung who seemed a little nervous. He exhaled as he fiddled with his fingers "Did you know that hybrids really exist?" he asked and glanced at his friends to see their reactions.
Hyunjin had made an 'are you for real?' expression while Chan's eyes were wide open "And how do you know?" the oldest asked in return which made Jisung explain the whole situation about Minho and Felix. After that, Hyunjin couldn't help but wiggle his eyebrows as he smirked at Jisung "To be honest Ji, the way you talk about that Minho guy makes you look like you've already fallen"
And to his unluck, Chan joined and sided with his boyfriend "That's true, when you described Felix you didn't use the same voice and your facial expressions weren't the same. You were smiling so much when you talked about Minho it was cute" he giggled.
Han's ears turned red as he realized that he indeed acted different when it came to Minho. But he couldn't have possibly fallen for him right? It was way too early for that. He quickly denied it but it didn't look like the other two were convinced "We've talked about this before Jisung, you can fall in love even at first sight. Love is in the air"
Chan snorted at Hyunjin's words but he agreed with him. He was one of those people who fell in love at first sight. It was in an art gallery where he saw Hyunjin observing a very pretty painting. But Chan found him way prettier than the painting. "Just admit your feelings bro, no big deal. We won't judge"
"What feelings? I can't like him, it's impossible"
Hyunjin rolled his eyes and lightly slapped his friend's arm "Dude you gotta be honest with yourself, both of us can see your mood has changed even a little bit" Chan nodded "Yeah, you shouldn't be afraid. People need love" he smiled and squeezed Hyunjin's hand "And who cares if it's too early? If you two have a strong connection and put effort in that then you shouldn't care about the others' judgement. In this life you get judged either way but you can choose to ignore it"
Their words really got Jisung think otherwise. Was he really just scared of falling in love? He didn't have the best experience in the past, his ex was abusive and a manipulator so there was that..
He sighed as he averted his eyes from them, looking forward "I do feel a bit.. happy? Whenever we talk and when he lets me cuddle him" he muttered and he heard Chan chuckle "There you go" he grinned and Hyunjin patted his back "You don't have to say anything to him yet because you gotta make sure they're real feelings"
Jisung nodded and sighed as he noticed they had to part ways "I'll see what I will do. See ya tomorrow" he waved at them with a small smile and the couple returned it, waving back "Bye Jisung"
