Chapter 390:
Harleeâs expression didnât change as she swiftly kicked Kendall in the stomach. Kendall reeled back several steps, struggling to regain composure.
Harlee was always prepared to protect her friends at any cost.
Anyone who threatened her circle would face severe consequences.
Friends might suffer, but foes would certainly meet their end.
Ritchie gave a mocking smile.
He figured Kendall was just another unbeliever of Harleeâs abilities and would soon regret it.
Ritchie selected the tiniest candy from his pocket and casually threw it to Kendall with a simple, âHere.â
Kendall caught the candy, his face still showing signs of anger. The ever-cheerful Robbie stepped up to break the tension.
He pointed at the mysterious candy-like pill and said, âGo ahead and eat it. Once you do, you wonât feel any discomfort. Itâs a special preparation by Harlee.â
Kendall hesitantly put the candy in his mouth. It dissolved immediately, unleashing a fiery sensation that surged through his chest.
He bent over, clutching his chest as if an immense force was tearing his heart apart.
But once the pain eased, he realized the internal injury from Harleeâs kick had vanished.
Kendallâs eyes widened in shock, more surprised than when Harlee had kicked him earlier.
He looked at Harlee with newfound admiration. Without saying a word, he decided she was his new idol.
Harleeâs group had already treated her as their leader, so he thought he might as well too.

Unaware of her new admirer, Harlee sat on the sofa with the poise of a leader.
Even Stanton, usually so composed, was visibly shaken after Kendall had been kicked. Though Kendall was the least skilled in combat within their group of eight, he had been a black belt in Taekwondo since he was ten. It seemed impossible that a woman could kick him back so effortlessly.
Nevertheless, the reality was hard to deny.
And that mysterious candy-like pillâ¦
Stanton was amazed by its effects! Who was Harlee, and who were the three accompanying her? Stantonâs sharp eyes sparkled with curiosity.
He memorized Harleeâs features, planning to ask about her once the mission concluded. If they could recruit someone like her, she would be a huge asset to the military.
Harleeâs beautiful eyes narrowed, her tone cool and steady.
âDoes anyone have any objections? If not, weâll gather outside the hotel at five tomorrow morning.â
Kendall stood upright and said, âNo objections, Miss Sanderson. Weâll follow your arrangements!â
Phew.
He had almost slipped and called her âYour honor.â Stantonâs expression remained unreadable, yet his newfound respect extended even to the three individuals Harlee had brought with her.
Patrick observed everything from the sidelines like a bystander.
He always knew Harlee was no ordinary person, which was why he had put everything on the line to get her help.
